Fantastic dinner
The service and atmosphere was fantastic! Food was delicious. I would highly recommend for couples or a small group for dinner. The price-point is reasonable. A++
Butternut squash agnolotti, bruschetta trio and panna cotta for $30? Great value and delicious meal. The service was also wonderful- a nice place to have an anniversary dinner!
Had a good dinner here. Started with the 2 bread dishes as appetizers which were warm and crispy on the crust which was delicious. I ate the Pasta Special which came with salmon and a white sauce. Delicious, there could have been more variations in taste, ingredients. Duck was tender and delicious, the sauce could have been more tasteful. The The dessert of creamer brûlée with canadian honey was alright, a bit too creamy for my personal taste, and the honey was difficult to taste. Overall the meal was enjoyable and balanced.
One of the best restaurants in little Italy. I tried it today for the first time because I've already tried majority of the other Italian restaurants and this one definitely has the freshest and best tasting food.
Amazing service, beautiful presentation, delicious food! love going here! I would recommend it to everyone
I visited La Forchetta after numerous recommendation by friends of mine. Usually great expectations bring disappointing results. Well I was surprised by the warm welcome on the door and the professional service thereafter. It was Friday night January 17th. The restaurant was half full but the atmosphere felt great. Me and my friends a lot of appetizers and each one had a different main course. The quality of the appetizers was great as was the rosemary bread. Risottos were my friends favourite while I indulged super tasty pappardelle pasta with braised quail meat & caramelized onions. We were so happy with the food and the prompt service that we had order dessert too. I thought I already had the best Tiramisu, yet I found this one to be delicious. Simply great Italian food within a professional set up. Lots of wines to choose from too.
Definitely recommend this place & will revisit asap.
My Favourite Restaurant in Toronto. This is the cutest little restaurant. It is by far our favourite Italian restaurant in Toronto! My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for over 8 years. The owners and wait staff treat you like family and the service is always great. But of course we keep coming back because the food is amazing! I have never had a bad experience at La Forchetta. :)
The food here is fantastic. We led off with the stuffed rolls which were okay (my girlfriend liked them way more than I did). For mains she had the homemade sweet potato gnocchi and I had the Homemade spaghetti. Usually when we go out one of us will have a meal that is clearly better than the others, but both of these were equally fantastic. For dessert we had the double baked chocolate cake which was delicious. The service was a little slow but the food was great across-the-board.
Tonite was date nite and we picked La Forchetta because of the rating. The atmosphere was very nice and the service prompt and friendly. The app was grilled callimari..... perfect!! But the veal was dry and the sauce tasted like canned tomato soup. :(
Overall a 7/10
One of the best in Little Italy. All around great experience, like my Nona had personally prepared my meal!
Great food and selection of aged scotch
Great food and fantastic service. I wish every restaurant could be like La Forchetta.
Authentic Italian in relaxed setting. Went here last night with a group of five and had one of those amazing, languorous dinners that span across thee hours. I had the risotto funghi (which is one of my fav Italian dishes and has been ordered many a time) and it was AMAZING. Delicate but wonderful flavours, cooked perfectly and with plenty of high grade parmesan flaked on top. Caesar to start was also simple but DELICIOUS (much, much better than Marinella across the street). Female server was bubbly and attentive. Everyone was very happy with their meal. One said it was the best linguini de mare he's ever had. Desserts are a sweet way to end the meal; the tiramisu and creme brulee are both excellent.
Amazing risotto. This is my now my favourite place to get risotto. There was the seafood risotto & risotto funghi. My friend and I both wanted to try both, and asked them to serve 2 half and half dishes, and they were happy to accommodate. It was really good.
We started the meal with some freshly baked (warmed up?) bread, drizzled with a very good olive oil. The scallops in the seafood risotto were full sized scallops cut up, not the bay scallops. There was plenty Parmigiano in the creamy risotto funghi, which was full of mushroom flavour.
To end the meal on a good note, the tiramisu was fluffy and not overpowering. Definitely a place to go back again and again.
Intimate setting, great food, great wine & great service! Really enjoyed this restauatnt. It's a must if you are in the area. Highly suggest the beef carpaccio. Yum
Great food and experience. This restaurant is a gem. Great value, great wine list and great food. Everything I have eaten there is wonderful and the service has been great too.
The food and the.service can not be faulted.
On a warm Thursday evening in late September we decided to have dinner on College street in Little Italy. After reading some reviews of La Forchetta we were eager to try it. We had a nice street view from our table with a warm breeze wafting in. There is a very small patio on the front of the restaurant that is meant for couples. While we were reading the menu, a wonderful plate of house made crisp and mouth watering bread arrived. It was unique and dipped in olive oil with some rosemary bits scattered on it. There is an extensive wine list here, but we decided to try a litre of their house Chianti. It was very good for a house selection. They have an extensive menu (available on their website), however we decided to select two of their prix fix choices. For $22 there is a selection from an appetizer list and a main list, which my wife and I chose. For $30 there is a selection from the same list but a dessert is added,
This little space is very intimate....perfect for dates. In the warmer months, they open up the large windows and have a small patio....mostly tables for two.The waiters are handsome European-accented gentlemen, which was a nice complement to the very good food that is presented well and delicious. Great for late night dining, as we made 9pm reservations.Sadly, we weren't offered coffee with dessert, as I think our particular waiter had to go home, but other than that, it was a very good experience and I'd go again. Reasonably priced for the food and wine that's offered. I'd say you should try it out once....it's in such a great area of College Street.
I went to this place on a friend`s glowing review. Sadly it wasn`t nearly as good as I`d hoped. Perhaps it`s my fault for ordering a steak at an Italian restaurant, but inmy defence, I did ask the waiter whether to go for thesteak or get something else (there are plenty of otheroptions on the menu with similar price points). In any case, the meal was no highlight for me. They'vegot a decent wine list and the ambience is nice (thoughthe tables are a little too close together). I'm not sure whether I'd go back, maybe I'll give themanother chance during Summer/Winterlicious.
