A few steps down into the wood beam cellar leads to Indian food that's a cut above the norm. Don't overdo the soft and tasty naan & garlic or you won't fit through the door.
Chicken khorma and seek kebab is a must try from this place it has such a scent you will love it on the first go and apart from the starters there main course is also awesome very good variety and balanced masala makes it a perfect meal this one is from our favourite list.
First review of a restaurant in the area . Ambiance is amazing , full of character and good crowd . Not too busy but still took them 40 mins to bring out the food . Paneer bukhara tasted really good and daal makhni as usual .

It was a sweet experience being here at Bukhara Grill. If you've just moved from India, and you're missing your desi food, you have got to try this place out. The food tastes exactly like you would eat in a five star hotel restaurant in Delhi or Mumbai. The prices are pretty decent, the ambience is classy. The service was very very good.
I reallyyyyy enjoyed the butter chicken - the sauce was delectable. And the garlic naan was good too and so was my mango lassi. The prices were reasonable also and not ridiculously overpriced for the portion you get. One of the best! The mango lassi was amazing too. Great service. Would DEFINITELY return.
Best Indian Food ...Very tasty .. Green Tandoori Chicken was awesome and great service. Will go again. Last time i was with my friends and we all had great time. One of Indian friend told us that this is the best food she had.
This place has some delicious food. Being in a basement you would think it would feel small and dark but it was lovely and the decor was very classy. The staff were quick to keep our glasses full and were quite polite. Service was a little slow but there were only two people on the floor so I didn't mind. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, the lamb vindaloo was spicy without overpowering the flavour, and the garlic naan had lots of tasty garlic chunks. I would definitely come here whenever I want some good Indian cuisine.
Very tasty food, each dish distinct in its flavours. We just moved to the area and tried it for the first time, as take out - - so we did not eat in. We were absolutely thrilled with it and have been recommending it to friends.
Love this place. Food is amazing and the guy who delivers is always so happy. They delivered an order to us one evening, I didn't have a credit card to pay for the food so the guy on the phone said I can pay next time. I was shocked I have never experienced this type of customer service. Could not recommend a better place for Indian Food. This is a little gem in Bloor West Village.
It was a 5 mins drive from my place. It was a Wednesday evening. If you're not a fan of basement restaurants then avoid. I find it a bit claustrophobic. The ambience was good and elegant.
We ordered a couple of appetizers like tandoori chicken, malai tikka and seekh kebab along with the entrees namely butter chicken and bhoona lamb. The service was a bit slow considering the count of customers. I must say the food was fantastic. Tandoori chicken was well cooked and authentic, malai tikka was nice, juicy and tender. The entree of the day was butter chicken. After a long time I had some good butter chicken. Bhoona lamb was delicious too.
The didn't like the server though. He was a bit rude and wasn't smiling at all. He was standing behind our table which was quite annoying. He was in some kind of hurry while picking our dishes.
I am definitely coming back for my butter chicken cravings. I might have to ignore the server though.
Can't remember how we found this place but it was a great find! Lovely dining room decor and wonderful Indian food with lots and lots of selection!
Just tried Bukhara Grill Toronto and loved it! Quick home delivery and delicious fresh flavorful food. No oil on top of dishes like some Indian food has. Recommend the bread basket to try different flavors of naan. So glad Bloor West Village has a great Indian restaurant now. Will definitely re-order and try more items.
Stunning!!. Absolutely delicious food, polite/professional staff, and a really neat decor. By far one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to. Best part: very fair price for the big portions of delicious food. Would go back again in heart beat.
Long time BWV resident, Bukhara is just what the Village needed. Great food and very reasonably priced. Great for two or a crowd. Will definitely be back soon.

Fabulous Indian Food in Bloor West Village!. Five of us had an absolutely amazing dinner at this relatively new eatery in Bloor West Village tonight. Tucked away in the basement, next door to Pizza Pizza, this place is a true hidden gem. The décor is surprisingly elegant and warm, the ambience top drawer, the service friendly and impeccable, but most of all the FOOD is phenomenal! We had eggplant bharta, lamb jalfrezi, chicken tikka masala, saag beef and chana masala. Every single dish was outstanding -- beautifully spiced and fragrant. The accompanying rice, naan, and papadums were perfect too. My friend from England, who is a curry afficianado, said it was the best Indian food she'd ever had. Desserts were delicious and the coffee superb. I actually joined Urbanspoon just to write this review. If you live in the area, or even if you don't, this place is a great find and deserves to be supported. A big thank you to the host, Jashim, for an unforgettable dining experience. Five stars all the way!
Great food and very attentive staff. The best Indian food I've had in the city!
It was ok, like an earlier reviewer said, it lacks kick. I had the vindaloo, was a bit tomatoey and not hot enough . The other dishes seemed smoothed out with cream. In my books a 2/5. But I'm comparing against some of the best in HongKong, Shanghai and Manila, London and ya Mumbai. Now having said that, my sister and brother in law love this place and say it's the best they ever had. Mind you , they never been east of Paris or West of Vancouver. So ya, it's been dumbed down for your average Torontonian which is day is a good business decision .
The food is excellent here, definitely the best Indian food in Toronto. The service was also fantastic, very friendly and helpful staff. So happy we found this gem in our neighborhood!

The food was unreal! Best Indian food in Toronto. Prices are extremely reasonable for the upscale decor and service was fantastic. Lots of food and they do take out! I would definitely go back, very worth it! I recommend chicken vindaloo with saffron rice and naan bread! So delicious
Amazing food!!! My new favorite Indian restaurant in Toronto!!! Loved every dish and their garlic naan is spectacular :). Decor is warm and the gorgeous beams make for a perfect atmosphere.
Best Food. Best Indian food in Toronto. We've eaten here several times both in the restaurant and take out. Every food is superb, service is clean and comfortable and prices are great. The interior is unique. Amazing restaurant!
Amazing. We ate at Bukhara Grill the first week it opened and have already been back for a second visit. The butter chicken and chicken tikka masala are fantastic and the tandoori platter is delicious with an ample portion. The rice was cooked to perfection and you could tell that they used the best-quality meats and vegetables and fresh spices in all of their dishes.
Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service is also very friendly and efficient. This is one of better restaurants in Bloor West and one of the best Indian restaurants we've tried in the whole city.
Will definitely be visiting Bukhara Grill on a regular basis!
Best new Indian food in Toronto !. We frequent the Indian restaurant near Christie Pitts, this one might just be better. The spices are fresh, and the dishes are well balanced with full flavour. The restaurant does not look like much from the street, however the interior is very tasteful and spacious for a basement setup, higher end decor for sure. We will be back.
It’s in the basement and the decor is a little dated, but don’t let that throw you off, this place is a hidden gem! Really tasty food at very good prices. The tandoori dishes especially are so good! The lady who served us was so pleasant and welcoming, even though she was also dealing with a lot of take-out orders.

I have been ordering from Bukhara for 10+ years, ever since I moved into the area. I am much further away now, but still within the delivery zone, and it is still as good as the first time. I feel so lucky to have discovered this wonderful, wonderful restaurant, it is a treat. Once...only once...I had samosas I did not enjoy. That is my only regret, out of over 40 visits/deliveries, from solo dining to 12 people catering.

Bukhara was definitely a big surprise. I visited for the first time here but I felt like I was visiting a restaurant back home (India). Not only the food was great but the humble waiting staff who served us reminded me of the high service standards of India. I almost forgot that I was in a restaurant in Canada, until of course the bill came in CAD 😜. Bukhara pls keep up the great food and a special shout out to Devender (my apologies if I got your name wrong) with such lovely smiling service, you definitely made my and my friends day today. Definitely going to visit again at the earliest chance we get.

This indian hotel is in the basement and the i did not like the environment much. But the taste of nearly all items are just fantastic. I loved the food very much.
Got take out - every dish was amazing! I didn't know what to expect after always going to Banjara but everything tasted amazing. All of their vegetarian dishes are great.
I had to take time to Write a Review , Although been in Etobicoke for some time now but i am skeptical visiting Indian Restaurant's as Experience is that wife makes better food than most restaurant's. Happened to be here by chance with friends few days back , came here mainly due to review's Amazing Food , just like in India served with Papad and chutney, Garlic Naan is out of the world -just melts in Mouth. Veg tandoori Platter , Tandoori Chicken, Fish all were equally amazing . Top it up with Indian Beer.
Good Ambience, We were served by Deepender, very polite professional , 5 star's to Service, Presentation and taste of Food and Cook who is very skilled , all these overcome the fact that its in Basement.
Had amazing time after long time. Look forward to coming back often.
