Review Fusaros - Toronto

Inayat Singh
Been here a couple of times and Gusto never disappoints. Firstly, even for a busy restaurant they have plenty of outdoor seating (patio and rooftop) and would be happy to accommodate you irrespective of a booking or not (but we have been only 2 people though!) The food is excellent! The salads taste fresh, the appetizers are a good portion (lamb meatballs are super tasty!). The pastas are smaller in portion but have an impeccable taste (truffle paste is a must-try!!!!). Their tiramisu is one of the best I've tried in Toronto, SO SO GOOD! Lastly, their staff is friendly and service is quick. Would highly recommend it!

Food and the vibes are so good here. Calamari 9/10. Crispy with good sauce. Mushroom pasta 10/10 . Love these type of noodles & they were cooked perfectly aldente. Kale Caesar 8/10 (could use more kale massaging. A little rough tasting) We also got the 1oz for $1 deal on the wine. Red was very good.

Ive heard about gusto for a few years now. As soon as I had the chance to go to Toronto I made a reservation. The truffle pasta did not disappoint and would definitely be back next time I’m around! Great service and food all throughout.

Gusto has delicious pizzas and pastas. The pasta portions are a little small compared to other places but every one we ordered (we got all except the lasagna) was really yummy. The upstairs patio space is nicely laid out too. Be prepared to wait though as they do not take reservations.

I have been wanting to try this place since before the pandemic when my co-worker first told me about it. We visit Mississauga every year to visit family, but due to the pandemic, we haven't been in the past two years. The funghi pasta came highly recommended by my co-worker, so I had to try that. My husband and I also ordered the lamb meatballs for an appetizer, daviola pizza, the strip steak and tiramisu. The funghi pasta was AMAZING, and something that I would totally get every time. Everything else was really good too, cooked to perfection. Can't wait to come back again during our next visit.

Gusto 101 - Celebrating my big 4 0 today and the wifey planned a lovely luncheon. Definitely one of my favourite Italian joints in our great city. For starters we got the carpacccio and their newest salad the invernale (citrus, persimmons, fennel, olives and chilli). Both we absolutely delicious and light enough so we had room for our mains. Whenever you visit @gusto101to you must order their malfalde ai funghi and this time we also copped the grilled branzino (I love seafood). Both were executed perfectly and we left completely satisfied. What a great meal with amazing service! #TomEatsYummyFoodBecauseWhyNot

I’ve been wanting to come to Gusto for the longest time and never got around to it. How have I put it off so long. The atmosphere and space is great for an intimate dinner to catching up with a group of friends. The drinks were on point and the food… AMAZING rich flavour. Don’t be like me and wait for this, just go, run!

Cannot stay away from this place. An absolute must if your in the city. Even if you're not, well worth the drive. Congrats Fusaro's on truly Toronto's best veal sandwich!!
Don Scandrett
Fantastic service, friendly and punctual staff, great selection and affordable prices. The poor server was run of her feet but maintained service above reproach. You gotta eat here!!!!!! We will be returning

My favourite casual Italian eatery in the city. Phenomenal pasta, the best veal sandwich, family run, and, oh, the sauce! A must visit for anyone that likes traditional Italian food that has kept up with the times.

147 Spadina Ave, Toronto, ON M5V 2L7 (416) 260-8414. This lively outlet of Fusaro’s on Spadina and Richmond buzzes with positive energy with good seating, a great selection of Italian food and good wines, all served by efficient and friendly staff. The pictured mezzaluna veg raviolis were super!

Fusaro's have been my Italian joint for lunch, love the food options here and truly enjoy the meals. Its a cafe style joint. . I really like the pastas and the panini options here, the pastas is not as bland as some of the other Italian restaurants and are full of flavors. Good thing about the panini is their soft &fresh breads that makes the difference.

Must try pasta - siciliana , fiorentina, La parmigiana
Other good tries - pollo , tasca

Food - 4
Service - 4
Service - 4

Nice place for italian food & especially the pastas. I don't remember which one we ordered but am attaching the picture. The taste was really good . It came with some cheese sauce as accompaniment which enhanced its taste even more . To sum up, this place is definitely worth a try 👍
@savionassar

Great place for a bite although it's super busy at lunch time.
the food is good for the price but the service is not impressive.
But overall this restaurant would not disappoint you.
The gnocchi in rose sauce is what I would recommend to try plus they serve brio which is a rare drink to find, at least in the downtown core

For me, Fusaro's is a very pleasant surprise. While Toronto has many quality Italian restaurants, this eatery stood out a little bit. Cafeteria style service (order at the counter), was pleasant and efficient. Most of their lunchtime business appears to be takeout, with a steady stream of customers waiting to place their orders.

I ordered the Pollo panini, which came with a small Mista salad for $10.95. I'm not sure if the bread was baked on premise, but it was very fresh. The panini press did its job just right, adding some nice colour and grill marks. The chicken, bacon, mozzarella and other fillings were nice and warm and tasty.

Quick, friendly service with a rustic Italian menu to satisfy any pasta craving. Though I found my portion size to be a bit too large, the Bolognese was fresh and delicious. Definitely want to come back to try the paninis!

Came in for a late lunch with coworkers. I had the penne alla vodka and it was pretty tasty. It came with bread, which was slightly disappointing. I would have preferred garlic bread.

That being said, the portions are pretty large and the service is quick.

Fusaro has perfected the art of making pasta down to the tee - it's the perfect place to go grab lunch. The food here makes dealing with the long lineups worth it.
Pardis Parhizgar
I love Pasta and I love Fusaro's.

They have great daily features and the food is always delicious. I recently had the daily special which was a red sauce based pasta with bacon and snow peas. It was the perfect portion size and super affordable, can't wait to go back for more!

Service and atmosphere was great...food not so much.. The server and outside dining was great. The food was more like fast food or food court quality.

Love this place. Amazing f.... Love this place.
Amazing food. Amazing service.
What more needs to be said?!

Customer service. Went to get my lunch to go, as she handed my lunch to me, she said your welcome..rude rude rude....this girl has been there for awhile...I don't care if your having a bad day, it's unacceptable. I work next door, but will never go there again.
Good luck....

Busy! But good!. This place get's slammed during the lunch rush from all the local business who order lunch for their clients and co-workers. They do put out great food and there's a reason it's busy!
Hadi Azer
Service is crap. Slow and sloppy. Paninis are so average. Pasta is ok, not worth the hype.
Sam Hanna
Amazing food, service and hospitality. I had the chicken Parmesan with penne pasta in a spicy rose sauce.
Myla Jayne Strange
Cafeteria style home cooking. Delicious home style Italian meals at reasonable prices. Not a bad atmosphere, just very casual. Self serve. Good window for people watching.
Gianni
For a small place it sure makes some great food. Just like Nonna makes. Keep doing what you guys do. Ciao.

A gem I miss. I loved working in this area because it meant I could have Fusaro's for lunch! An amazingly satisfying and delicious Italian lunch for around $10. VERY busy around noontime, as I suppose all the workers in the area feel the same way. I've never had anything I didn't like here and never left without being absolutely stuffed with good food!

Fusaro's Kitchen is awesome. It has it's a small place with a hard working crew. The food is fantastic. The only thing I have a problem with there is trying new things to eat because I'm so hooked on what i've eaten previously at Fusaro's.

This place is outstanding!. I have been here a few times and the only negative thing I can think of about this place is the hours (closed on sunday, only open until 4pm on saturday).

Other than that, this place probably makes one of the best panini in Toronto. They have other items on the menu which are ok, but if this is your first time I would recommend trying a panini.

Inside the place is nice and they have a nice small patio in front. The service is also fantastic. I have found the servers to be very friendly and will take the time to chat with you and ask if you are enjoying your meal.

All in all, this is a fantastic place for a sandwich and a cold italian beer! (they offer 'Poretti' which I had for the first time here - it's a very light beer and will appeal to the heineken/stella crowd)
Smileycdngerl
Awesome!. This Italian restaurant makes some great pasta. Reasonably priced, I'll be finding myself at this restaurant again.

Can't beat it for lunchtime taste and value. This place makes incredible paninis, pastas, and salads, and they really know how to deal with their lunchtime rush. We often have them cater our company meetings because we enjoy the food so much.
Hellokitty0313
It was busy with the office lunch crowd. So many people ordering take-out as well as dinning in, but good that we were able to find a table to enjoy. My friend and I both ended up ordering the same thing (we didn’t know what each other ordered until it was brought to our table and notice it was the same dish). We ordered the FIORENTINA – rigatoni, chicken, spinach, in a fresh tomato and basil pesto sauce.

At Richmond and Spadina sits a local fast food Italian restaurant which seems to have an endless take out line worth waiting for. It is clear the local business’s have stomach’s with great affections for the restaurants simple and affordable Italian home cooking. I have been here a few times as it is just around the corner from my work.

The pre-made pizzas, sandwiches, quiches etc are all very good – a pizza slice will only set you back a few dollars and is way better than Mama’s Pizza. I really like the croissant with chicken, olives and feta (a bit o’ cheese never hurt anyone)…although

Oh man, this place. You know when you walk into a restaurant and you immediate think "I have to take [insert friend/family/romantic interest] here?" I want to take everyone here. It has ambiance without feeling over the top and when the sun is setting the entire place lights up with a warm glow. It's the kind of place you imagine having dinner with your long term girlfriend and realizing over the amazing Pepati that you want to spend the rest of your life with them.

Speaking of the pepati, this is what I want when the server mentions a kick of spice. The sauce had real flavor to it, to the point where I'd consider eating it without the pasta. The bacon is done perfectly for the sauce, the portioning is fair, and the it just looks good.

Go here. Then return, frequently.

Fusaro's is your quintessential Italian eatery, complete with an open kitchen that’ll make you feel like home. I love Italian food and this is one of the better places for it in Toronto. My bestie always orders her pasta off the menu – she’s a regular here so the waitress knows her usual order – and I highly recommend the Pasta a L’Italiana which is a dish of linguine with mussels, scallops, and tiger shrimp in a light garlic tomato wine sauce. Delizioso!

Fusaro's serves up some fine Italian fare, at reasonable prices. I've been here for lunch on numerous occasions and have always walked away satisfied. I particularly enjoyed the Veal Parmesan Sandwich, which acts as a great alternative to the standard pasta dishes.

I love this place. The place is small but is bustling with energy. There is always so much going on there, you want to enter and see why the lines.

The food here is amazing for the prices you pay. Quantities are huge and meals are filling. I had the Insalata a'lamericana which was so nice and fresh. The avacados, chicken, bacon and greens blended so well with each other, it was almost perfect. I also shared a Due Panini with a friend. The panini was cooked well and there was quite a filling in it for the portion it was. My friend tried the Acritano pasta and the quantity was HUGE! The mushrooms and chicken with that creamy sauce in the pasta made for a great Italian dinner.

This place is always a very good option for quick lunch meals since their service is pretty quick. We had a lady server serving us who was smiling all along, which made the experience here even better!

This a pretty little place on Spadina is my fav Italian escape. They have great pastas. Oh they have good paninis too, but pastas are so much better. They have plenty huge pasta menu. So yeah, you can feed your italian soul so well at Fusaros. It can be your classic Thursday night dinner place and your quick grab my lunch on a workday place. Also they have a decent drinks menu. They have good Italian wine. I really like the verduzzo they have. About service, I dont think I can complain. They have lovely hosts helping you throughout! :)

Really enjoyed the pasta I had at lunch, the Siciliana with extra sausage. I always end up getting the smallest piece of bread though, or it's a little stale. I went another time for dinner and got the Penne with Chicken and Garlic Sauce and it was sooo gooood that everybody at the table needed to have a taste! It gets busy at lunch, but I think the pasta is worth the wait.

I went during lunch time and it was packed! The pasta on everyone's plate looks so tempting that I had to try something here . I ordered a vegetarian panini to go and it took about 10 minutes to prepare. The bread was really hard and stale but the pesto sauce was delicious. I will go back here to try the pasta.

Delicious (and quick) pasta! Order at the bar, take a seat and wait for you food to come :-) Friendly service. Clean and comfortable atmosphere. Great place for lunch! I recommend the Fiorentina - chicken, spinach and basil pesto (+ a lot of parmesan and chili flakes)!

OMG! The arancini balls are amazing. It was exactly what I wanted. Crispy on the outside, warm gooey cheese on the inside, and smothered in a delicious homemade tomato sauce that was perfectly balanced.
Fast service and cute atmosphere too!
