Review Cibo Wine Bar - Toronto

We wanted to grab a quick bite to eat, with tons of options nearby, we chose Cibo. Both guests from our party had dietary restrictions, so it was a bit of a mission trying to figure out what to order. But our waiter was patient and very helpful making sure we got some stuff that was dairy and meat free. Service was great, food was very good.

Had a great time at Cibo. Server was attentive and the food arrived very quickly. The seating area did feel a little crammed together during lunch, I assume they open the seating downstairs for dinner when it's busy. Would have liked the option to be seated at a larger table downstairs so we are not all struggling to manage the plates and glassware at the table.
Delicious food, and friendly staff. However the wait time is 30-40 minutes even with a reservations, not very accommodating to large groups. Had waited for 30-40 minutes for a table of 6, 2 from our group just left voluntarily so we could have a table for 4 instead. Totally not the staffs fault, the restaurant just don’t have enough tables that could seat 6 and up.

Worst Restaurant Experience! We asked for something really simple... a Caesar salad with no croutons and no bacon with avocado, chicken and steak on top. We were told that steak is not an option and has to be bought separately- not a problem! We ordered a separate steak. For our request of cutting the steak so it could be put on the salad- we were met with a response of " we are not Kelsey's"... Great attitude towards your clients?! And attaching a picture of the Caesar salad... WITH bacon WITH Croutons, missing the chicken and avocado. Screwed up order I can take, happens to everyone- this was a takeout portion of our dining so we can't exactly ask for it to be redone, but its fine. Rude service however is not going to be tolerated... Not stepping foot here ever again!

I went to Cibo for both brunch and dinner. The service at Cibo was excellent and the staff were very friendly. For brunch, the Bottomless Mimosas are a must. I had Eggs Benedict with sautéed spinach and it was delicious! The short ribs and eggs are a great selection as well ! For dinner, I chose the Salmone Fresco Atlantico which was moist and flavourful! Also, the calamari was very fresh!

Hit or miss. Came here on two separate occasions . The first occasion, the food was excellent along with the service. Our waitress Anne was patient and in good spirit. The second time was not so pleasant. We were seated downstairs in a dark and dingy corner and were rarely attended to by our waiter who also ended up forgetting our orders 3 times - unacceptable for a restaurant in Yorkville. Food on this visit wS also unsatisfactory.

Our waitress was super nice!! I really enjoyed my salad but my friend didn't like her lobster ravioli. Atmosphere is cute too!

This Cibo is located at a pretty convenient place. The place is huge and has a nice ambience, so when youre enjoying a drink, time goes by quickly. The servers are friendly and attentive so you will get serviced quickly. They have a lengthy wine selection as they are known for that, and they make good cocktails as well. The food is a bit pricey for the quantity you get, but that’s nothing out of the norm, considering it’s Yorkville after all. All in all, nice place to have a drink and chat. Perhaps not the best place to pig out though!

Made a reservation for 5 people and specified we had a stroller. They put us in the basement. Service was beyond horrible. They brought us the wrong meal twice, food was bland and we were never asked if we wanted anything else to drink. We ordered dessert and we had to ask twice for cutlery. Then the coffee....I think the server must have taken a trip to Colombia because after 20 minutes we still didn’t get a cup. We had over 4 different staff helping us at this point trying to figure out what happened to our coffee order. Then it came-25 minutes later and it was sour tasting. Will never return to this restaurant. Do yourself a favour and don’t book a reso here...

Well, since you asked, I was unimpressed. Beautiful atmosphere, but less than acceptable service. First off, since I don't drink alcohol and it was a cool evening on the patio, I asked for tea. The waitress was stunned at such a request, not to mention had a horrible time understanding English. I asked for Early Grey tea with the bag out. Tea came already steeped and was luke warm at best. And then our waitress disappeared. Literally. Good thing the company I was with was exceptional!

We live in Atlanta, GA USA with great restaurants all around us. Cibo did not disappoint us whatsoever and was simply all around wonderful last night. The sommelier was delightful and extremely knowledgeable. The food and service, just as divine. A "must go" place! My husband and I will definitely return!

Went to Cibo on a Saturday for my friends bachelorette dinner. The food was good. The service was terrible. It took 10 minutes to get a vodka on the rocks. Our waiter kept disappearing. Had to ask other waiters to find ours! Asked for another serving of bread *still waiting for that bread and to top it off our party was sat under jars of olives and a wall full of fruit flies. The manager came over and said he would move us to a different table. We got moved to a cleaner location and our waiter didn't re-appear for a good 10 minutes. We had a party of 7 and at the end when we asked for our bill they weren't able to divide the bill smh. And gratuity is included in the total which our waiter definitely DID NOT deserve. Won't be going back to this location. What a shame!!! Would think this location would be up to par with their service since it is located in YORKVILLE! SMH!!!

Well you asked for it. To start we ordered drinks before our meal and they had no more tonic for my drink so I substituted. We ordered our wine from the list 10mins later they came back to ask what wine we wanted again. We then proceeded to order our meal and they brought 5 meals instead of 6 which we ordered. I waited about 15-20 mins as their was no one in site finally someone approached our table and we told them that we were missing one meal. by then my party had finished their meal. We ordered coffees for all and again they missed one. It was very unusual their were 3 different waitresses attending it was very confusing and mismanaged. We were out for my husband's 60th birthday least to say that our experience was not a good one. We have been to the King Street location several times and had amazing service.

The food was generically good. There wasn't much flavor to my risotto but it was okay for lunch. I ordered tiramisu for my dessert and I was not impressed. It tasted funny so I didn't finish it. I'd go back to give it another shot but it wouldn't be my first choice for Italian restaurants in Toronto.

Excellent food and impeccable service with the very pleasant server, who had been in the Philippines for 30 days scuba diving and enjoyed herself, going the extra mile in service.

One of my favourite restaurant ( Yorkville) to go to. My favourite is the ravioli lobster and kalamari. Their bruschetta is okay, I don't like the bread they use for it but still good. I like the atmosphere, the ambiance and the waitresses. Professional and courteous.

Went for Sunday brunch with another couple and my 12 year old. Were seated in lounge -not a huge issue even though we made reservations well in advance and even tried to call the restaurant several times with no response. We were in an area that was SO COLD that we actually wore our jackets during our meal. Mentioned this several times to the server who didn't really seem to care. But the fact that our food was cold while eating should have been a flag. Absolutely no offer of a coffee to warm out and didn't even have anything that would warm up a child. Not impressed and won't come back to this location

My daughter and I went to the Icefest on Sunday brunch and thought we would try this restaurant. My daughter can not have diary & therefore did not have a lot if choices. The pasta had cheese or cream sauce, but she did have pasta with just tomato sauce but there was no meat. For me the food was ok but found it pricey $35. It was good to try but not for us. Plus the server took quite a long time for my drink.

I went here twice in one week because it was that good. I went for lunch both times, once with a group of 6 and then two people, service was excellent. Our waitress was busy so we had three extra people assisting ! One of the cooks brought us out a dish for free so we could try it. Lots of options on the menu, everything we ordered was fresh and exactly what we ordered. Appetizers are great! I will be back for sure.

We were a party of 5. Food was good, service was great. Nice place. Would go back again. Ask to be seated upstairs at street level.

Polenta fries are a must try!! Also ordered bruschetta, grilled calamari, seared tuna, mushroom risotto & tiramisu. The apps & entrees were very good. Not a fan of the tiramisu. Those polenta fries are going to be my new addiction!
