As promised, I wanted to write a review after my experience during the soft opening where the food menu was limited and did not feel I could write a review at that time.
I had lunch at H. F. and really enjoyed the smoked mackerel sandwich, which consisted of a fresh and tasty bread, sandwiched between a delicious composition of "mashed trout" with a lemon and dill zest that was the perfect mix, bite after bite. Will be ordering this again!
We had the baked apple for dessert, which were a few ring slices of apple that were scrumptiously seasoned. The food menu is slightly limited for lunch, though what I had was absolutely tasty. Will have to come back for dinner next time, which has a much larger menu.
I am really glad to live just a few houses away from H. F. and it is great to see many people enjoying an evening inside and on the patio as I often walk by. Will be coming back again, and other family relatives have been there multiple times and enjoy it too.
This place is incredible, wow. Knowledgeable service, glorious menu but ask for the new options as I had rainbow trout that wasn't on the menu.... yummmm
If you are a cider aficionado, this is the place for you! A spectacular array of ciders, both on tap and in bottle, with perfect food pairings. Knowledgeable, friendly staff and a cozy location — what more can you ask for?

Had dinner here for my husbands birthday. Amazing cider (and incredible selection), really great suggestions by the wait staff around cider choices and food choices and the food was incredible! We can't wait to come back and bring our friends!
Loved it! Great selection of ciders. Love all the Canadian ciders. We enjoyed our small plates of food, very tasty. I appriciated the changes made to the food to be gluten free. The patio is famtastic!
Excellent brunch , food was plentiful and delicious! Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the numerous ciders and cocktails. Loved the side patio. Will definitely return! Prices , quality and quantity great for Toronto.

Really good food. Had the duck breast and spaetzle. Perfectly cooked and delicious. Potato and smoked gouda soup was excellent as well.

I can’t think of a better place for a pair of cider fanatics to spend New Year’s Eve than Her Father's Cider Bar + Kitchen. It was so wonderful that we visited twice on 31 Dec. We were waiting patiently at the counter 30-minutes before licensing laws allowed us to imbibe the unique ciders at 11am, then we returned in the evening to welcome in 2018 with some special ciders.
If you like cider and visit Toronto, Her Father's Cider Bar + Kitchen is a must. If you love cider and visit Toronto, you’re a fool if you fail to visit Her Father's Cider Bar + Kitchen.

We had a lovely visit with excellent service and delicious food paired with perfect ciders.
What impressed me also was that they had baffles on the ceiling that effectively muted the noise levels so that I could actually hear my date. I hate noisy restaurants, this was a treat. Will def go back.
Everyone there is super friendly, the atmosphere is great, and the cider selection is fantastic! There is always someone on hand to make a great recommendation or pairing. What really blew me away was how AMAZING the food is! Everyone around us was commenting on how great their meals were and it was hard to finally make a decision because everything looked delectable. I had the cod and it blew me away. Definitely returning here again and recommending it to everyone I know.
