This Basil Box has really caring staff and great attention to your food preparation. I appreciate that it offers a few more than the Eaton Centre food court's Basil Box. Worth coming over to this location instead!
The staff are very accommodating and gives great recommendations. They served another customer that has a dietary concern and flagged any available options they could eat. They also offered customizing to their preference and suggested great alternatives. Good healthy choices!
They have a lot of good custom order option/set up so that you can mix and match. This location offers additional Satay Seasoned Fried Egg (for additional cost) and #4 Sauce option of Saigon Curry which is not common. I usually get the Chili Lime Shrimp which is pretty spicy and delicious! This location offers sautéed eggplant and charred sweet potatoes which is great as well. Really good value and carries well!
First time here. Friendly staff. I had the coconut curry tofu. They build the "box" in layers first the noodles, edamame, sweet potato, tofu, choice of curry and garnish with sesame seeds,fried onions, cilantro, red Thai chili peppers, peanut... There's lots more to choose from and healthy food.
Plentiful vegetarian and vegan options here! I had the vegan curry with noodles, which was just the right level of spicy and bursting with flavor. The staff were also very good - attentive to packing food safely for take out. Also, Ryerson students get a discount here, so bring your Onecard.

Basil Box is so yummy! Their fresh chili's and crispy shallots are a nice free touch at the end. Great spot for vegetarians or those with allergies because each dish can be customized as desired. Their soda and refreshers are great for a hot day. I wouldn't eat here too often because even though it's yummy, nutritious and convenient, it's really quite expensive! All of the components can be simply made at home for a fraction of the price.
OK, the food is fine. Pretty tasty actually. And the staff are very polite and friendly. The premises are clean, and the washroom is tidy. But the food preparation phase of it reminds me of Fawlty Towers. Remember Basil Fawlty? How appropriate. Seriously, the person preparing my order continually had to consult the list of ingredients. I also saw them missing something from another customer's order, and then asked the person to bring the food back to the counter. And while one person took the food to add the missing ingredient, another person was giving the customer the same missing ingredient in a separate container. Quite funny from a distance, but probably on the receiving end. And wow, it sure took them a while to get me my order. Why am I giving them 4 stars? OK, they are not great in efficiency, but as I said, the food is good, service is friendly, and price is very reasonable. Besides you get a comedy show as well.
Absolutely delicious! Their high fiber dish is my favorite - so flavorful and healthy - with brown rice, lemongrass chicken, sweet potato, edamame, and a peanut sauce. Great value - only $13 for such a healthy dish is amazing!
Very clean store with super friendly staff makes me a return customer. I would definitely recommend this place - 5/5 for quality, quantity, value and service!
