Stopped in for supper before heading to the Cirque! Very good value for money friendly prompt service and good food too! Highly recommended if you’re in town
I have often been there for breakfast. Great!
THE ADDRESS IS ON CARLTON (105), NOT WELLESLEY. NEAR CARLTON AND CHURCH.

To begin with I wanted to give the 1 star rating for the lady server who is extremely rude, arrogant and unwelcoming. When asked for a glass of water, she literally banged the glass on my table murmeruming something. I usually visit in the morning and Felix is the guy who serves me, Kumar is the cook , they know my order and get it exactly the way I like it. A shout out to them.
My favourite breakfast spot in downtown. The food is amazing and very pocket friendly. The breakfast and main courses are amazing "0" complains about the food.
The Golden Diner is a fixture on the south side of Carlton Street east of Church that spans generations with unchanged padded decor - shall we say classic diner atmosphere - with the classic all-day Breakfasts - as pictured - served by wonderful staff that have worked there for as many years. May it long continue in its original time capsule!
I've been eating here for years, and it never disappoints. It is a basic Greek diner, but what they do well, they do very, very well. The breakfast special is a classic, and you can't go wrong with it. Three eggs any style, ham, bacon or sausage, breakfast potatoes, choice of toast, orange juice, fresh fruit and coffee, with tax and tip, less than $10. Lots of other choices. The chicken souvlaki dinner with Greek salad is an excellent lunch or dinner choice, but the offer a wide variety of dishes, all offereing excellent quality and value.

I love greasy spoons. They are fast disappearing in Toronto. This is a really good one. And they have free wifi. Best place to get steak and eggs and heaps of coffee. Cheers!
Great spot. I agree with the previous reviews. This is a great spot for a cheap and hearty breakfast. No frills just efficient service and good food. Lots of character both with regards to the staff and the clientele.
This place is a cheap, no frills, good food hole in the wall. What a gem! Portions are huge, include your coffee, and are under $9 for breakfast. Don't come for the decor, come for the eats!
Recommend. Went for a couple of breakfasts while we were in Toronto, great breakfast special, eggs cooked to perfection, you won't go away hungry. Excellent service.
Good diner style breakfast...fast service:) not a fan of the eggs Benedict at all!! But breakfast yesterday was good and all other meals looked good...
“Great breakfasts!!! The serving sizes remind me of when I did a road trip through the US mid-west.. This isn't the place to go if you are on a diet!
So ..... if you want an old fashioned breakfast, with a few twists, this is the place to go.
I always take my son here when I am visiting from out of town. I usually order the $6.99 breakfast special which comes with a small OJ, reasonably good coffee (regularly replenished) three eggs, many strips of crispy and meaty bacon and lots of homefries. In addition they now add one or two pieces of fruit, sometimes oranges, sometimes water melon and other offerings depending on what is available. My selections were different on my last two visits but what was served was ripe, and very tasty.
The staff are Greeks who serve you with speed and they make you feel welcome.
I've been going to this diner for years and have never been disappointed.
Amazing Breakfast. I had breakfast here this morning. I ordered the $9.99 breakfast combo which came with pancakes, 3 eggs, sausage, toast, homefries, and coffee. The portion was nice and big and the food was very tasty. Eggs cooked perfectly, pancakes thick and fresh, and they even came with a few little pieces of fruit. It was a lot of food for $10. Oh, and the service was great. I would definitely go back for breakfast again!
Best breakfast ever!! Cool, quaint place.
