Had a good Christmas party with my coworkers there. Delicious appetizers and charcuterie board. However I was underwhelmed by the lamb pasta entree. The pumpkin pie was a good dessert and the service was awesome!

So, let's start by saying this restaurant is gorgeous! The menu well out together and quite nice variety.
The food was delicious, oysters were fresh and the minionette was sooo good. The scallops... EPIC!... truly good... Sadly the octopus, very tough tho and was lacking flavor for some reason. The rest was so nice, including the staff, accommodating and very organized. Totally visiting this place again!

Great service, even printed our friends name on the menu! Very nice touch. Nice food not overly priced for lunch! Wednesday is summer had a 1/2 price any wine option! :)

We dined here for a work dinner on a Wednesday night. We got seated next to the kitchen so it was quite loud to keep up with the conversation. Service was great. Food was ok, my main course came out lukewarm but it looked like everyone else enjoyed their food.
I was surprised at the small Canadian wine selection, although the wines we had were delicious.

Stumbled into this place on a Saturday evening for dinner and was happily surprised with how upscale the experience turned out to be. Accommodating and friendly service - waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu which is chef-driven and fresh. Best dishes were the KALE SALAD and a raw tuna special app. Kale salad was a mountain and could probably satisfy 3 people. The main dish I got was shrimp & steak which was a tad underwhelming flavor-wise.
Pricey but worth it for the fancy setting & service. Disappointing main course but I'd go back and try it again for a special occasion.

Thoroughly disappointed with the whole experience. We came here with another couple and their sentiments are the same. Our waiter did not listen to us, he was rude and spoke down to us as if we didn't know what we are doing. Little did he know, all four of us came from the industry. The duck was dry, the beef tartar lacked in flavour, and the dessert was quite boring. The only saving graces were the mushrooms, the scallops and the pork chop. All in all, we probably will not be coming back here, but if you are, good luck!

Came here for dinner, and ordered the scallops to start, the whole grilled Dorado, and the poached pear for dessert.
The scallops were fresh, tasty and tender, and the other items on the plate paired well with the flavours. The scallops could have been seared better, is the only thing I would change about the dish.
The fish was supposed to be boneless, but I spent half the time pulling bones out of my mouth. While being told it would be deboned, after it arrived and I got 3 bones, I was told there would still be some near the head and tail, but there were still some more through the middle. The grilling could have also been done at a higher temperature, as missed a smoky grilled flavour, or crispy skin on the fish. The flavour was also pretty lack-luster, and the butter that came with it didn't add much. We were also told we wouldn't need sides with something like the fish, but the portion wasn't large enough in the end to not need a side. For $36, this dish was a pretty big disappointment, and since the server talked this dish up as one of the best on the menu, this is the main reason for my 3 star rating. I would rate this dish even lower, but the starter & dessert brought the meal back up to a 3.
The dessert took over an hour to come out. However, the manager came out and apologized, and comped the desserts to make up for it. The pear was quite good, and the other components were well prepared and complemented the flavour of the pear well.
Overall, I found the main course really disappointing, and for the price, overall the meal and portions weren't spectacular. The service was quite good, but overall feels hard to justify the prices on the menu to me, and I probably wouldn't return.

This is a farm to table Californian restaurant with an Italian flare. We have been here a few times and every dish is well crafted and executed. While the restaurant is owned by a film director, it's not one of those Toronto big name restaurants that's opened by business folks purely to earn profits. This is a very much "chef driven" restaurant. What stood out most was their desserts - Lunch and dinner. Their pastry chef is pretty creative. Their waiters are also very well trained. Our waiter knew how each course was cooked, and what detailed ingredients were used. His notes on wine recommendations were also spot on. As their menu always changes, my wife and I would definitely revisit! If you are looking for a cheaper option, go for lunch and their $25 three course was a good deal.
