Fantastic. They have a cute little patio (and they have heaters when its cooler out, which is a great addition). The service is great, patient and knowledgeable. The food is amazing. I had the pork liver mousse with pickled turnip, a cheese with pear appetizer, braised lamb, the gratin of escarole, and the creme brûlée. Every single one of these dishes was excellent, very well executed and memorable. The drink menu is also excellent (highly recommend the blanquette de Limoux paired with the pork liver mousse). All in all, a great experience and definitely will be returning soon.

Oh my, what a delicious meal. My husband and I just enjoyed the most amazing meal at Chabrol. From small plate, to cheese plate, to mains and dessert we were impressed and completely satisfied. Watching Doug, the chef/owner, cook for 19 tables was awesome. The rest of the staff were kind, thoughtful and so attentive. What a team. The wines, the atmosphere..again, an amazing meal - and experience, at Chabrol.

The space is in deed small, but because the staff is so kind, caring and friendly you feel like you are eating in someones kitchen. The knowledge of the staff is by the way incredible as well. Food was fantastic and carefully prepared. Wine was fantastic. An all in all delicious meal with an incredible atmosphere. Ill return for sure.

This was a spur of the moment visit after doing some errands with my daughter. We decided to have a glass of wine and a snack because she hadn't had lunch. A rosé and some potato gratin and we were on our way in time for their next reservation. Always charming. Always reliable. We look forward to trying their new place, Atlas, next.

The restaurant was open at 3om but there were only 4 very small table offering, in front of the bar . I don’t like my table at this moment.

We ordered salad persimmon was good , main course Ttoro was good, Albacore Tuna Nicoise was good .

Desserts , Pot de creme was very chocolate, I like it , and Tarte was especially delicious and beautiful.

I gave four stars because I didn’t enjoy my table .

Might be we will come back for dinner someday.

Celebrating my bday lunch at this tiny bistro. I love the kitchen! Wonder how the chef can cook so many different dishes at there. Guess he has to do a lot of preparation in advance.

Riesling-poached foie gras is interesting. This' the first time I had the poached one. It's as good as the pan-seared. The toast is perfectly warm and crisp.

Ttoro, seafood in soup tastes good. Personally I'd prefer rice to potatoes 😝

My friend had Papillote of Whitefish. This remind me of the chicken wrapped in paper in Chinese style. 😂

Apple Tarte with Calvados Sabayon is good. It's about 5-6 inches in diameter. My friend finished it all by herself 🤣 I had too much and could only finish 1/5. The sabayon sauce is very light and fluffy.

Guess sitting at the bar will be more fun 😊

This tiny French restaurant hidden in yorkville is my new favourite spot. The patio is small and pretty and the service is fantastic. Everything I have tried here has been perfect. I would recommended the tuna dish, the white fish dish, and the squash salad.

The smell of melting butter and cooking shellfish is intoxicating, I was marveled by Chef Penfold’s ability to produce such delicious creations from two induction burners that makes my four top range at home look palatial.

Although the cool riesling poached foie gras ($19) had a silky smooth consistency that simply glided across the tongue, its slightly gamey after taste threw me off. I tried to mute it by using the refreshing black currant sauce smeared on the plate.

Baked in parchment paper, the papillote of whitefish ($29) steams in its own juices and leeks infuse their aromatic essence into it. Cooked to perfection, the light fish was flaky and moist. The fish was accompanied with

Chabrol is a great spot to go to. Really well cooked food and a solid everyday menu that meets most tastes and diets. I would highly recommend this for foodies, quiet lunchers, couples, or if you want to have an extended lunch. Its a very small intimate setting and you'll get to know your server really well. It's impeccable so it's fun. In the warmer months there is outdoor seating which more than doubles their capacity. Take advantage!

Decided to spend a special occasion at Chabrol, and was not disappointed. Main takeaway: the food and service are fantastic. I’ve had less expertly crafted dishes for much more money in this city. That said, read below for more details. Drink~ The wine list, while shorter than other similar restaurants, is sure to please with selections from quality French estates. Note that sometimes it’s more economical to get glasses opposed to bottles—we could each have two glasses of the *very tasty* Chardonnay and still spend less than the bottle. Otherwise, we had water (sparkling and still is offered), sparkling wine (absolutely splendid), and an americano (they offer a good selection of espresso bevs). I did hear another table ask for ice wine, and it seems they do not carry that currently. Food~ More good to say! We had the foie gras small plate to start. In all honesty, it was the least impressive part of our meal, but was still quite good! It came with a very tart berry sauce that is definitely noteworthy. Our mains were show stealers. We ordered the pork shoulder and Ttoro (a bouillabaisse). Both were exquisite. It was cute that they provided me a proper knife for the pork considering it was so tender, I never needed it. Everything was cooked to perfection—the temperature at which everything was served was even perfect. For dessert, we settled for classic crème brûlée. It was traditional in the best sense—everything it should be. Other desserts seemed great and more elaborate (the crème brûlée was the least expensive choice at $12), but we wanted something simple. Service~ Waters never emptied and our waiter was knowledgeable and kind. It seemed like all the staff genuinely enjoy their jobs and wanted to provide great service. They alone are reason to return.

A very small Paris style bistro. 5 tables for 2, a counter with some additional seats and a seasonal patio that closed in October. Amazing service, innovative, tasty food and a good wine list. We were a party of 4 and enjoyed a "family style" meal that was expertly selected by Andrew-our server who also recommended great wine. We will certainly be back. The only "negative" is that because of its size and ceiling height, the restaurant is noisy.

The place is a hidden jewel in the Yorkville District. Service is excellent and dishes are tasty. However, it doesnt have many varieties, only 4/5 for each category. It took about 20 mins for food to be served.

We had a delightful lunch on a sunny March day. The Apple Tarte with Calvados Sabayon was outstanding. Back again on a brilliant June afternoon. Always outstanding. The Ttoro was superb as were the oysters. Paired with the sparkling wine worked so very well.

Small places always packs the best experience. The food was great. Their apple tart was amazing! Worth the 25 mins wait. We couldn’t wait and didn’t take a picture.
