The 4 of us ordered halibut, cod and haddock fish n chips combos, and chicken wings with honey garlic sauce. All fish were fresh, batter/crust superbly made - crispy and thin. DELICIOUS! I liked halibut the most. Fries tasted great too, but cannot finish all. Next time I'll order just fish and steal some of friend's fries. Chicken wings, so so for me, too sweet and a bit tough.

I love fish and chips and I believe I have tried most of the fish and chips place in Toronto. I still keep coming back to Fresco! Adding the **Miss Vicky’s batter** is a must !!! So goood !!! My super picky mom loves it too ! Also they play Beatles .. loving the old school vibe in this busy city :)

Hands-down the best fish and chips in the city. Always fresh with generous portions and the store is just a fun spot. Beatles memorabilia and posters everywhere. If you like fish and chips, this is definitely your spot.

Excellent fish and chips in Toronto at the Kensington Market. French fries are massive. They love the Beatles here. Good price as well.

I got their meat chill poutine. I loved it. It works well with the cheese curds and the chill is solid. I highly recommend it when you come here. Definitely the best poutine spot I had so far in Toronto.

Tried this place after some good reviews about this place. Generally speaking, my gang of 4 enjoyed the food here. We ordered halibut and haddock, and wings with drinks. They were well cooked. The batter was light and crisp. Fish were well fried. Yet my reservation for the extra star in this review is the fact that when fish are fried it tends to diminish the distinct flavor in different kind of fish. As a lover of fish food, I did feel the different flakes in fish but I just did not taste the distinct taste and flavor of the two fish we ordered. For the price of $22 and $16, I don't think it is worth it...but if you have a deep pocket and you have no other choice for fish and chips in any other pubs, then this place can treat you a nice dinner.

I haven't been to Fresco's in many years and went back today, it was even better than I remembered it! I stopped by after a gym class and was starving! I wasn't sure if a fish sandwich would fill me but I was so wrong! The halibut was so fresh and meaty just as the friendly owner promised! The sandwich was delicious, definitely coming back again soon!

Fresco's has been my go-to fish n chips place in the city for years. Always fresh tasting fish and their sustainability efforts are appreciated i.e. containers make sure you get the miss vickies extra crispy batter. Can't get that anywhere else. And wash it down with a pop Shoppe soda. My favourite is black cherry. Restaurant is much bigger now and staff are very friendly and put out quality food.

My friend billed this as the best chippie she'd found in Canada so far... can't argue since it's the only one I've been to in Canada.
While not UK quality I was quite pleased. Eclectic soda collection, plus the usuals, a good number of different fish types on the menu, and the food was prepared and served quickly. Tasted great, the breading just falls off in a most yummy way. Not a bad value either.
Plus it is in Kensington Market area which is just a fun place to be.

FRESCO DID NOT LET ME DOWN!!!
Staff were amazingly friendly, food was incredible, definitely get the Miss Vicki's Extra Crispy Batter - it's the BOMB!
Only thing is the seating is extremely limited so either get it for takeout or get really luck with seating.
If you're craving fish and chips and you're in the Downtown Core, Fresco is where you need to go :D Will definitely be back~
