Review Old Spaghetti Factory - Toronto

Connie Cheung
This restaurant we visited 20+ years ago, last week we went there again. It must the reasons a restaurant that can last for more than 20 years and it still there. Their prices are reasonable, and food quality is decent. Each menu price including (1) fresh and soft bread, (2) soup ~ many vegetables in the bowl or salad ~ greens are fresh, (3) main course, (4) ice cream, and (5) coffee ~ pretty good coffee or tea. The waitress who serve our table is very nice, she deserve a bit more than usual tip.

Amazing food and amazing staff and as you cane see from the pictures there is a lot to take with pictures Colour’s and designs. The food is terrific and very reasonably priced. The service is outstanding and I suggest coming here for a family dinner. Definitely child friendly. For those of us who are older, look at this phone booth. It reminds me of the Elephant Castle long ago. And for the younger generations, yes we made phone calls from phone booths😀😀😜. You will love the Spaghetti Factory.

I had the chance to try this restaurant recently with my husband and friends. We had an amazing time there, the ambience was magical and the food itself was very delicious. We found the service a tad bit slow but nothing that couldn't be improved. Lots of halal options as well. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely visit again.

Family reunion at the venerable institution Old Spaghetti Factory, serving dinner since 1971. Eye popping colorful quirky eccentric decor. Lovely staff. Great service. Huge portions. Modest prices. Food quality? Meh! It’s all about the fun.

Listen, I have never been so full after a meal in my entire life. I did the feast upgrade and was served a portion that gave me enough food for the entire next day! 😂😂😂 The server was super nice and friendly! She knew the menu really well, provided great recommendations and was overall really fantastic! Fun vibe and always a fun place to visit in Toronto!

We come here when we we get a gift card and it is great for pasta staples if you’re looking for something yummy and a bang for the buck! With a pasta dinner you get salad, warm bread and whipped garlic butter, icecream and coffee. The portions are decent too. It’s usually quite busy as it is a family joint. I didn’t have the greatest experience coming on a weekend night as I was placed with a party and it was very loud, but today we were sat on the little bus area and it was great! The waitress was lovely and very attentive. Very tastey as usual! A Toronto nostalgia spot for sure 🥰

I would recommend this place to EVERYONE! This is an absolutely amazing place to eat. The scenery inside is stunning, the food is SOOOOO good, the prices totally fair, and the staff was great!(front door girl upset me for a short time but immediately forgotten with the friendliness and quality of work the other staff out in. Our waiter was fairly knowledgeable of the locations history and very fast and attentive(especially with how busy they are) and everything was great right till we left. I would recommend this to EVERYONE!

This cozy restaurant has left a great impression on me! Wonderful place, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide drink list and desserts. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. We visited this restaurant a couple of times and I have to say, we enjoyed every single bite of the meal. We had a 3-course meal, with a drink. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Old Spaghetti Factory is ideal for those who want a romantic night out. There was also plenty of room for bigger groups. We were delighted by the authentic Italian food. The décor is a stunning mix of vintage, luxury, and modernity. In contrast, however, the service was not of the highest quality. It seemed to me that the waiters were not knowledgeable enough and forgot what we ordered. Every time we went there, the orders missed an item, or even once they brought someone else’s order for our table! It might be frustrating if it happens every time! This is something they can work on for sure! Other than this, I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is brilliant.

Was my first time going, can't believe I hadn't gone before. The prices were amazing and food was really good.I recommend the butternut squash ravioli, and it was a good portion too. They gave you a appetizer and dessert for the entree price. Place was nice, very different, and customer service was great.

Costumer service is really good, even though today was our first time there. Very welcoming! our waiter (Adam) was great a real pro! The food was ok.... I ordered chicken fettuccini.. oh my. looked great , smelled great but.... chicken was dry as a sand paper even though our waiter(Adam) did offer to exchange it for something else I feel as if the incident could have been easily avoided if the back of house put as much effort on the quality of the food as they did for the presentation of it. Everything aside it was a great lunch and a wonderful experience!

This was my first visit to the spaghetti factory. The food was absolutely incredible (spaghetti with white clam sauce.) My waiter Lukas H provided the best service I have had by far in 2018. He was courteous, quick, personable and professional. He made sure that every bit of my experience at the spaghetti factory was exemplary!
Sandi Demone
It was very busy and yet we had the best service! Our server made us feel like we were his only customers. He was pleasant, funny and extremely caring. From Moncton, maybe that explains it! Best server ever!!!!

I have been going to this place for what seems like forever. I am always satisfied with the service, the food is phenomenal and the portions are quite generous!!! Oh...and btw, the mushroom tarragon tortellini is out of this world

Love this place. The butternut squash ravioli is sooo good. It’s always a treat when we visit.

It was a amazing place great food and the server was the best look forward to going there again

This was a very special moment for our family as we moved from California to Virginia 4 years ago with no OSF in sight! So we drove to Toronto to enjoy this meal. Not only was the food as Good as we remember, but Harry gave us amazing, attentive service!
Heidi Kitaresku
I have been coming here since my childhood and now I take my children too. Love the food and device. Shantelle is an awesome waitress

Enjoyed our dinner there. It was extremely busy, so we had to wait about half an hour to get seated, which wasn't too bad. Once seated we were served quickly. My food did come out a bit cold, but it was tasty. Fun evening and interesting restaurant.

Me and my girlfriend dropped in tonight (march 31st) for an 830 dinner date.....Absolutely loved it. Havent been since I was a kid. Our server Bernard was AMAZING! Had all the answers to our questions, fast and friendly service with a great attitude. And the food was amazing. 10/10 would come again...and won't be so long in between visits this time. Keep it up! Thanks again for the awesome service Bernard!

Best restaurant in the city. It’s the only restaurant that’s been as consistent with their tremendous service & deliciously prepared chicken parm. Best of the best.
Chris Puckalo
Food was absolutely amazing and the service was fantastic. Such a cool atmosphere. Definitely recommend it.

visited this place on a Friday afternoon with some office colleagues. The place is damn huge and the ambience is amazing. The ambience is a mix of carnival and royal theme. There is a carousel set up also. The ambience is perfect for especially families. The service was also quite good. The staff was courteous and friendly.
Now, let’s talk about the food. I tried their spaghetti with mushroom tarragon sauce. The mushrooms were so juicy and tender that I wished there were more in that spaghetti. Then I tried their veggie flatbread pizza. It was full of veggies. The taste was average though. Finally, I finished my meal with their chocolate cake. It was dense, moist and tasted heavenly. Also, they serve complimentary bread with garlic butter. Overall experience was pretty amazing.

First time at the Old Spaghetti Factory

The food and service were excellent. Went for supper so all included. Had the Goat cheese agnollatti. It was my first time at the OSF and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and food.

Avoid Beyond Meat dish. It was horrible and overpriced for 3 vegan meatless meatballs.
Shashank Motepalli
We ordered a three italian course meal. One of the finest quasadillas I've ever had. The french salad and ice cream were yummy too. Lovely ambience and friendly service. Was definitely worth a visit. A perfect settings for your date!

Simply love the ambience of this place. It's great for a date, for a group of friends and for a family too. The restaurant was bustling with chatter and was really lively. We were asked to wait for half an hour but got a place in less than 10 minutes. The servers were friendly and constantly checking if everything was okay.

Coming to the food. We were three of us. Two were first timers and one was on his 9th visit to this restaurant! We chose the all inclusive menu, starting with salad instead of soup. The salad was a decent portion and well dressed. There was freshly baked warm bread with herbed white butter. So fresh and melt in the mouth.

For the entrees we ordered the ravioli, lasagne and spaghetti in white clam sauce. The portions were great and the pasta was perfectly cooked. Then came the ice cream which is always good. Followed it with coffee.

That was one scrumptious and filling meal without being harsh on the pocket.

We're sure going to be regulars here.

We heard great things about this place. So we made reservations on a slow Saturday afternoon before the ballgame. Showed up 2 hours before game time and waited for an hour and a half to get our food. When it finally arrived it was a meager portion of average food. Certainly not worth the wait or the$26 per portion price tag.
Decor in the dining room was awesome.
Alisha Babbar
It was a wonderful experience being at The Old Spaghetti Factory. They had a huge variety of pasta to choose from. Drinks, cocktails and more, amazing interiors, old town feeling, karaoke and bar. I loved it all. This one is a must visit.

We went there on my husband's birthday.. Staff gave us a great happy birthday wish. Food was good and interiors of restaurants were great. We ordered vegetarian pasta and spaghetti, portion size and taste was good.
Wanderlusting Mama
While the look of the interiors was retro, it was looking tired. We were like in a carnival warehouse. There was a seating section surrounded by carousel horses and another area where you can sit inside a streetcar. There was an antique elevator, a red phone booth and countless other artifacts. It was pretty quaint and the place was huge.

They offered other dishes like ribs, chicken or steak, and other pasta dishes, but I came for spaghetti! The girls still qualified for kids’ meals so they got kid-sized spaghetti with meatballs. I got spaghetti with meat sauce while hubby got the spicy meat sauce. Grandma tried the spaghetti with white clam sauce.

Each entrée came with soup or salad, but while you are given options for salad and soup, the only ones included are Minestrone soup and garden salad. If you opt for Caesar salad and clam chowder soup, you pay an extra $2 for each upgrade. Other substitutions (whole wheat, gluten-free) also had a charge. The only other inclusion which did not have options for a bill-shock later on was the bread. This came with whipped garlic butter which was delicious!

Anyway, the service was pretty quick. Our orders arrived in no time and I got my fill of spaghetti. There was nothing quite earth-shaking with my spaghetti. It was good spaghetti and meat sauce. Cravings satisfied. Grandma’s white sauced-spaghetti was also good--a nice change from the tomato sauce.

Loved the ambience. The food was delicious gave complimentary starter and dessert. Prince was reasonable. But the waiter was a little rude at the end. Enjoyed a lot. Will go back again. The spaghetti and chickenballs was delicious with the salad.
Smart Cookie
You go for the kitschy experience, not the quality of food. The minestrone soup was broth and a few ingredients thrown together (canned chickpeas?) and the ice cream was clearly not made in house so are the entrees supposed to be the highlight? The lasagna wasn't the worst I've had (kinda tasty actually even if some parts around the edges were overcooked) but the meal as a whole was not worth the price. It's cafeteria food at best. My group's meals looked so unappealing that I have no desire to go back and try any of them.
Presentation is definitely not a concern of this establishment. While the whimsical decor is a sight to see, it looked dingy and past its prime.

Went on a Friday night and didn't have to wait for a table. Interesting decor... lots to look at. Kids will love this place. The service was great and attentive and the food met my expectations. I upgraded my salad to the strawberry one which was delicious. Overall, I would go back again and maybe try the chicken parm.

A Toronto icon the old Spaghetti Factory is a must.
We love going there after a blue Jays game. I enjoyed the spicy spaghetti with house salad and ice cream. The Spamoni ice cream is a house ice cream. The gluten free pasta is ideal for those with celiac.

Have been to a few over the years and I really enjoyed the decor inside this one. Very cozy ambiance with an old world flavour. I had my spaghetti a la homer and found it a little lacking for some reason, maybe the butter wasn't browned enough, but it was still good. I also noted this one has changed up their bread a little from the others I had been to. Overall a good meal and a great value as you get salad, meal and a dessert with tea/coffee included.

Great old time decor all around
Great Ambiance, great food and excellent service.
The all. Inclusive menu is a great option.
Drinks are a bit expensive

Within less than ten minutes, our entrées arrived! I ordered a Spaghetti Classic, the Spaghetti with White Clam Sauce. The spaghetti was covered in a light garlic and basil cream sauce with baby clams scattered throughout the dish. The light garlic and basil cream sauce was really good and the baby clams were rather plentiful and they didn’t taste rough or chewy at all. When it comes to spaghetti though, you need to eat it relatively fast otherwise once the cream sauce settles and gets cold, you have a big lump of pasta all stuck together. I enjoyed this simple spaghetti dish.

The food is okay at best. You don't come here for the food. You come here because it's touristy and you have friends with kids from out of town that are staying at a nearby hotel.

This place was suggested by my wife and loved everything about it. Ambience has old fair feel with merry-go round, telephone booth, antique fans, wooden seats, seats with sewing machines and I can keep talking about it. Best part was unlimited fresh sourdough bread they serve with cheese butter garlic dip. Spaghetti with mushroom tarragon sauce and manicotti were excellent.. Salad with house italian dressing was decent too.. It ended up with their italian Spumoni ice cream & hot coffee.. Will surely visit place again..

Terrible food and the worst service in Toronto. I made a reservation for my birthday and I wait 45 minutes to take my table and the server was so rude with my 25 guests
Lindsay Colbourne
For what this place is; a american-italian family eatery it isn't bad. For myself personally I am not a fan, the food was mediocre and the decor is incredibly unappealing. The service was pretty good but you could tell they were definitely trying to rush us, I know it's busy but when I'm asked mid-bite if "I'd like that meal to go" it's off-putting. Wouldn't go back.
Fine Diner
Spaghetti and meatballs with mushroom sauce,Caesar salads, bruschetta starters, good dry red wine, unique decor, Spinoni ice cream and good service made us ignore the pricey meal. Would definitely return.

I went here a few time growing up and I have always liked it.
Atmosphere- This is what gets you enjoying yourself as soon as you enter the restaurant. I love it. Lots of things to look at under the tiffany lights. A large old Town clock, a horse from a carousal, a red British telephone booth, and a train car where you can eat on. The dividers between areas is also tiffany style influenced. I love the place.
Food-All meals include soup- 1)minestrone- very good but far too many chick peas . Needs more of the other vegetable in the dish. or 2) salads- house salad was plain but fresh. 3) the salad with goat cheese, pecans, and strawberries was good but I felt dressing was far too vinegary. Also unlimited fresh bread with garlic butter was mouth watering. We could not stop eating it. For our mains we had the following- 1) Chicken parmigiana - excellent tender chicken nicely breaded with sauce and cheese. Lovely. 2 of us had this dish but one had plain spaghetti and sauce ( very plain- perfect for children) and mine had browned butter topping- If you like salt and cheese ( and I do) you will love this. My daughter did not like the browned butter as much as I did. 2) Lasagna- Really tasty with a lot of cheese and meat. It should have come with something else on the plate ( maybe vegetables) The dish just looked too lonely on the plate. 3) Chicken fingers and fires- yes! I cant believe my nephews ordered that in this nice Italian restaurant. - They said they were good. All dishes included coffee, tea and ice cream- spumoni ( excellent), vanilla ( very creamy), or chocolate ( ok ) . I was so glad I selected the spumoni. We were also given apiece of their chocolate cake because we were celebrating a birthday at the table and this cake was excellent with a capital E.
Service- Excellent. Our waiter was Anthony from England and was prompt and very nice. He suggested we order 2 side salads instead of a large one to split and he was right. That was all we needed. He recommended the spumoni and am I glad he did.
Impression- I will be back again and again but because we live in Hamilton that translates to about once a year.
Impression

My colleagues and I enjoyed lunch on the patio in July. The interior is very fun and we were torn between sitting inside or enjoying the sunshine. Unfortunately, there is a different menu for the patio but our server was very accommodating. There was about ten of us and she allowed us to have the additional garlic bread, salad and ice-cream with our meal. The prices are very reasonable and the spaghetti is soooooo good! I loved the ice-cream too. It was a struggle to eat everything as the spaghetti portion was huge. I highly recommend The Spaghetti House, especially if you're dining with children. We were like big kids on the day! Our server was very friendly and efficient.

I don't get why people come here. It was packed. But unless you crave cafeteria food in large portions you can't possibly like this place. Milkshakes. Banana. It was made with banana syrup of some kind. No banana actually was used in making this sickly sweet mistake The salads are tiny bun plates drowning literally in dressing. I asked for these plates for the bread. Nope. Use your salad plate I was told. Then the main course. Literally over cooked pasta congealed together topped with what has to be jarred sauce. I could literally pick up the mound of pasta with a fork. So yeah. East sides is a Michelin star restaurant compared to this "landmark" tourist trap

I used to come here when I was a kid. Whenever our family was in town for a show, we would visit the Old Spaghetti Factory. Now that I live in Toronto, I happily returned for some old fashioned nostalgia! Fortunately for me, the food was also pretty good. I have enjoyed the various spaghetti options. My fav is the mushroom sauce. Head down, grab a table, enjoy the décor, and eat a delicious reasonably priced meal.

No Surprise. Have been coming to this iconic restaurant for years. Another great evening. Service is fast and the food delicious. Thanks to our server Mike for the great service. Always a hit with the entire family.

A big disappointment. Our son wanted to go to the Old Spaghetti factory for his 16th birthday. We came with his friends that are football size and put into a very tight booth. We saw two tables across empty and asked for them. The hostess said it would be twenty minutes so we changed our minds. Only 5 minutes later we saw people being seated there. We also told our hostess there was a birthday at the table and her reply was that she would inform the waiter. She never told the waiter and when I told him he came over to the table in front of my son asked for ID for proof and again in front of everyone that was it necessary for the singing and that it is usually for the party not the person. I thought he was very rude and totally ruin the celebration. As for the food it has gone down hill. Three of us ordered the same dish and was clearly different size portions. I had a large portion and the person next to me had a very small portion even though we ordered the same meal. My soup was so salty I had to return it and waited for too long for different type of soup. The whole evening was sitting over crowded with terrible service and food. It was a big disappointment for my son's 16th.

Nice Atmosphere, Good Service, TERRIBLE FOOD!. I went here the other night with my husband, I got the Seafood Linguine and he got the Penne Arrabiata. My dish was supposed to come with scallops, shrimp and clams; I got no clams, 4 shrimp, and the scallops had the circumference of a dime. I was still charged the $18.75 even though there were no clams. My husbands dish was so tiny, he was still hungry afterwards and the sauce was AWFUL! It is definitely Ragu or Prego. If you want authentic Italian food DO NOT go to the Old Spaghetti Factory. There are so many other Italian restaurants you can get delicious food with generous portions and A LOT cheaper. I will never go back!

Great Food & Relaxing Atmosphere!. The last time I went at this restaurant was about a year ago and it was a fantastic experience. I ordered the lasagna and it was SOOO GOOD! I loved it. It had the right amount of cheese, meat, and tomato sauce...just perfect. The servers are very polite and always came at the right time when I needed them. Great customer service. Great food. I gotta go back there when I have time.

Customer Service Above & Beyond. Went down to the Old Spaghetti Factory on Sunday November 10/13 for dinner with the family. Just wanted to say, that I was yet again, very pleased with the level of service, attention and overall care that we have come to expect and that was delivered from this restaurant. Our server Mark was just great! He was able to fulfill the needs and requirements of my wife's gluten allergy, by not only giving her the gluten-free menu, but by also bringing her some sort of reference ingredient chart (like some sort of periodic table of elements for the "Big 8 Allergens"), just so she could be 100% sure that what she was ordering was right for her. Mark was also able to satisfy my 4yr old boy's obsession with having an endless supply of grated Parmesan cheese on the side (that he could scoop with his finger) as well as making sure it was on all his food! Very cool! Portions were great as usual and we were all very satisfied. So satisfied, that we couldn't finish everything and had leftovers to take home (which we forgot on the way out cause my 2 boys were bouncing off the walls). It wasn't til a few minutes after we started walking to the car that I realized this and went back for the food, but it had been discarded. The manager that evening, William, went above and beyond and replaced the food no questions asked. We couldn't have asked for better service. It's this level of professionalism and courtesy that keeps us coming back (and that "Master Key" game at the front that's impossible to win but delivers a small consolation prize every time)! Cheers to the Old Spaghetti Factory, it's management and it's staff!

A spaghetti diner with a vintage twist, that is how I would best describe the place. The factory ravioli was satisfyingly good. Was wondering about the size of the plate as it was more filling than it visually seemed. Loved the butter squash stuffing which brought a pleasant sweetness to the pasta. Dee had spaghetti with mushroom sauce and meat sauce. It is diner quality, comforting entree with soup, salad and ice cream dessert included.

Avoid this Place. Trust me, if you're looking for Italian food - or even just a plate of spaghetti, you would do better ANYWHERE else!

As a recommendation - check out St. Lawrence market even. Near the back on the first floor they have an amazing spaghetti and pasta place. You get fresh pasta and amazing sauce for a fraction of what you'll pay at the Spaghetti Factory.
Nicole
Skip it. I had the tortellini alfredo, could make something better at home.

Worst Dining Experience of My Life. The décor was delightful; our experience with the food was spectacularly bad. My companion and I ordered different drinks (iced tea and a soft drink), but the drinks were so diluted we initially mistook them for water. When we sent the drinks back the waiter forgot to bring replacement beverages. Close to an hour later when we spoke with the manager she replaced both of our beverages, but brought my companion the wrong beverage.
The server forgot to bring cutlery. Also, it was not explained that the other person dish “Spaghetti with Browned Butter and Mizithra Cheese” was sheep cheese. I was given a different sauce from the one I requested. We both found the odd piece of undercooked spaghetti. The manager offered to cover our bill and asked if we wanted anything else to eat or drink on the house. By this point all we wanted was to put as much distance between ourselves and The Old Spaghetti Factory as possible.
We both spent the rest of the night and part of the next day feeling bilious.

Just go for the crazy atmosphere!. Old Spaghetti Factory is a favourite for hundreds of Toronto and Southern Ontario families. The place is huge, overdecorated, noisy, alive with people and childhood memories. My son and I met there, this past Friday, for dinner. We were both looking forward to the OSF, as we hadn't eaten there for a quite a long time. This is a great restaurant for cold winter nights. Tourists are scarce at that time of the year, and you get a table in reasonable time. Of course, we both had the spaghetti with "rich meat sauce". Sure, the spaghetti is nothing out of the ordinary, but it tasted good, and that's all we wanted. Service was efficient. Our check came very quickly, far too quickly, and the server anxiously waited for us to pay and leave. There was no doubt a need at the greeting desk for our table. Still we dug in and stayed for another 30 minutes. Just to make a point... and to enjoy a bit longer the crazy atmosphere.

Nothing special- tasted like regular pasta with regular canned sauce. Nice environment, a bit loud, but not bad.

A family fav!. For years this has been our go to place for family trips into the city! Whether it be before a concert, baseball game or to end a day of shopping, the spaghetti factory has often been top on the list. We love our italian, and have had great food every time we go. Only a few times has service been slow, but understandably so as it's clear the volume of dinner guests they receive on a nightly basis--especially on weekends. Servers have been friendly and attentive and the decor is something you've got to see for yourself! Overall, the Old Spaghetti Factory has all the comfort food you'll need!

The Old Spaghetti Factory has the best pasta I have ever tasted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In past a great place to visit but with time it would appear not maintaining it's standard of just a few years ago. Out of food with it's meal plates, out of wines and service was below standard, no cutlery, no butter with bread and a disinterested serving staff. Management was not much better. Probably great place for kids if not expecting much but would consider numerous other alternatives which is too bad use to be one of my favorites

My family from across the province surprised me for my birthday be flying to visit me in Toronto for one night. Since I have a 4-year-old nephew we chose to make reservations here for 5pm for 7 people.

Summary:
- WAITED IN LINE EVEN WITH 5PM RESERVATION

-TERRIBLE TABLE SERVICE

-NO FOOD FOR 2 HOURS!!!

- QUALITY OF FOOD WAS WORSE THAN EVER BEFORE.

- WILL NOT RETURN UNTIL UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT

1st problem- had to wait in line 15 minutes to get a table

2nd problem-our waitress didn't come around for 15 minutes, and it took her another 20 to bring out drinks! This was a service trend that lasted the whole evening.

3rd problem - we never received any plates for our bread

4th problem - a full 1 hour and 45 minutes after our reservation, we still had no food, but kept being told it would come 'soon', so we didn't want to leave to go to another restaurant.

5th problem - When the food finally came, my brother's side of sausage (which we were given as one of the reasons the food took so long because it was made fresh, which was a total lie) came sliced up and fried in about 3 tablespoons of oil!!

6th problem - They forgot my husband's meal!! It was just a spaghetti bolognese!! So he waited and it came literally at boiling temperature and it injured his mouth. That was when my father took a bite of his, and it burned him too!

6th problem - My veal parm was awful. Burnt on the bottom, soaked in grease, and the side of spaghetti was crispy from sitting under the heat lamp so long. Everyone was so tired and upset after TWO HOURS OF WAITING with a four year old that we barely ate and told them not to bother bringing dessert.

7th problem - the Manager who kept coming over to try to stall for the poorly managed kitchen staff offered our food on the house, but then the waitress told us we still needed to pay for the alcohol we had!! What a sick joke!! We each only had one drink!!

Needless to say, we will not be going back there, even though this place has been a stop on our family vacations to Toronto for as long as I can remember. My mother used to manage a 5-star restaurant, and is confident that the bad service is not a one-off thing, that's its bad management.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

Horrible Service! Hour and 45 mins for 7 plates if spagetti??? Took 1/2 hour just 2 get drinks??? Whats wrong with this place??? New management maybe???

Worst ever. This place is supposed to specialiaze in spaghettis and this was honestly the worst one i have ever tasted. the meatballs were actually disgusting and i couldnt even eat them
Nick S
The food is great, the service is great... i would definetly come back!
Sally
Great Staff. The food was avarge at best, felt like a kids place not really geared towards adults. Staff was great. they saved the night for me and my large party.. So i will say I liked it.
Angie
Mediocre food at decent price for downtown TO. Ordered the spaghetti with tomato sauce for $10.99. It came with a soup/ salad, spumoni & or coffee/ tea. It was a saturday night and we did have to wait for a table of 4. When i called, they said they don't accept reservations on saturdays. The waiter was a little weird but friendly. He touched my friend on the shoulder & she felt a little uncomfortable. He also called us "honey" and when i gave him a 20 dollar bill, he pulled out change from his apron (which i thought was weird).
JaneB
Liked the staff, the sauce was good, but the pasta was waaaaay overcooked. Asking for it to come al dente didn't make a difference (and to his credit, my server warned me it wouldn't). Oh well.
Tony
It is what it is. This is a family pasta place. They have a couple of interesting dishes, but for the most part it's your basic pasta place. Most dishes are fairly bland, but it's good quality. Great service. I really miss the Organ Grinder that used to be next door, so the nostalgic value isn't quite what it would have been had the Organ Grinder stil been there.
Double A
This is not a restaurant... this is a childrens play place. Terrible food, overpriced.
JH
I had spaghetti and meatballs, which was very.. average. The restaurant has extremely beautiful decorations and nice service, but the quality of the food wasn't that great.

DECOR: OLD DINGY ABANDONED 1970 AMUSEMENT PARK. We called on the same day to make a reservation for 6 pm on a Saturday. The hostess put us on hold for a long time and made it sound like she had to squeeze us in. The place was only one third full the whole time we were there. There were six of us and all had us had pasta with very greasy, unappetizing sauce. Like other reviewers said, stick with Kraft dinners and Chef Boyardee if you want a better meal. Also, the salad was pretty much just chucks of iceberg lettuce with Kraft Italian dressing. And as for the decor, PUKE! It looks like an abandoned amusement park from a bad B horror movie. Time for a reno. for the dingy decor and the unhealthy greasy menu.

Chef Boyardee has better pasta. The good - ummmmmmm I got nothing maybe the decor cause there's a streetcar in the dinning room.

The Bad - pretty much everything. My first and last visit. I made reservations for 7 did not get seated till almost 8 then another 30 minutes for the waiter to come over and ask us if we wanted drinks. Another 15 minutes later we were able to order. The pasta and chicken were both cold the sauce tasted stale and sour like something out of a can, correction out of a can would have been better and to top it all off nobody came by to check on our table until I went over to the hostess area to ask for the check which took another 20 minutes.

Bland, Tasteless, Interesting Decor. Don't come for the food, but come to entertain your kids with the decor.

This place is a pure tourist trap with food that competes against Kraft Dinner and losses.

Good Times. This place rocks !! We sat in an old streetcar and had the " Factory Feast " menu, my date had the ravioli and I tried the Spaghetti with Meat Balls, It came with fresh warm bread an appetizer, coffee and dessert. The food was awesome and the service was great, Will definitely return !!

#1 Restaurant. I absolutely love this restaurant. The decor is awesome, the service is great, the bread and garlic butter make my life, and I would be happy just eating their spaghetti with butter and their Parmesan cheese- for some reason, I always thought theirs was better than any other I've ever had. Also, their spaghetti with mizithra cheese is delicious. I love their prices, too. Overall, I just never have a bad time here.

One word: Great!. We went here for dinner one night during our 4 day stay in Toronto. They had a deal where you get a free garlic bread (starter) and free dessert (ice-cream) with any main.

I had a grilled chicken breast with spaghetti and garlic mushrooms that was really yummy and I couldn't finish it because it was such a huge meal. My Mum had lasagne and barely managed to finish it either. The ice-cream and bread were pretty much the standard. We also had coffee & tea complimentary as well.

I definately reccommend you try an 'Ambrosia' cocktail.... it was the nicest cocktail i've ever had and only $6!

The front of house and serving staff were all very friendly as well.

Highly reccommended.

My daughter and I just returned from the Olde Spaghetti Factory and we're both stuffed. Great atmosphere and very reasonably priced menu. Nothing beats home cooked meals but we'll go back.

Great Value. Love coming here! Reminds me of when I was a kid. The food is decent, but the value is amazing! Great place to go before grabbing drinks at one of the nearby bars!

Good choice for families. The food is just OK, but you can't beat the price, especially with kids.

This Restaurant is AMAZING! I've been going here since I was 3 and I still say the same thing! The best restaurant in T.O.! I usually get the simple Spagetthi & Meatballs because the Meatballs are RIdculously Good! I encourage anyone who hasn't tried it to give it a go and anyone who has tried it and didn't like it, I challenge you to give it another try because I know you won't be disappointed

Great Place!. This restaurant went above and beyond our expectations. Very friendly and accomodating staff, starting with the front desk hosts, to their servers and other wait staff. Great selection of pastas, salads and tasty deserts to enjoy. The 'its all included' concept is a wonderful idea, makes dining easy and fast, especially great when your in a rush before shows. Cant say enough about this place, simply one of my favorite restaurants to dine at, in the city of Toronto! A must see for anyone visiting this city, contrary to the other posts left by others on this website!

Really good. I enjoyed a delicious grilled chicken with fettucini and mixed veggies in a outstanding south western influenced sauce. Incredible tasty and part of their factory feast line of signature entrees. Excellent value as it came with a spinach salad and cheesecake for dessert for under $25.00 dollars. Where else can you get such great value.

Below quality food, non-fresh items, and bought in gigantic quantities (how else do you think rht they can sell some things as all you can eat) The food is never consistent, sometimes cold, and don't even get me started on the lack of a clean kitchen. How do I know all this? I worked there for several years. Yikes. The things they served.
Tummy Points
The tomato sauce was very processed so it like from a can. The meat sauce has meat but also very small and processed. I think I like chunkier sauce so I can see tomatos in the sauce.
BiteMe
We started off with unlimited bread - which was refilled numerous times. The soup was generic and the house salad was too saucy. We had coupons for a "Buy 2 spaghetti dinners for $20", so we decided to try all the sauces. From the top left: Browned Butter
