We stumbled upon this great little place on Down town. I don't have a bad thing to say about it. From start to finish it was a very enjoyable evening. The service was very good and the food was great. I will go back and I would recommend it to anyone.

I have been to this French restaurant only twice now but both times it’s been amazing. Food is delicious wine is fabulous and the service is the best I have ever had. Our waiter was always on top of everything. He absolutely made the dinner exceptional. Thank you for an awesome experience once again.

Great French restaurant! We were lucky enough to have a window seat! The restaurant met all of our expectations! My fiancé and I went to dinner to redeem our prize yesterday evening after an opera! What a perfect way to end our evening! The three-course meal was amazing! Our server Dee (Is that how you spell your name? ) she was fantastic! I will have to come back to try the rest of the menu because the food was sooooo good! Thank you for an incredible meal and making my evening extra special!

I went there for my birthday with my sister , for a starter I had the Pan Seared Scallops , crispy risotto cake with a truffle oil cream sauce ,my sister had a salad . Then I had the Blakened Snapper and my sister had a Tourtiere . Then there was dessert !!! I had a little chocolate cake stuffed with chocolate pudding still warm , with ice cream , my sister had a Banana Crepe . All was very good 😋😋 . Our waitress was wonderful !!

I have been going to this restaurant on and off for the last four decades. It’s a great place that has truly managed to withstand the test of time. Their French onion soup is the best I’ve had, and that actually includes dining in Quebec and in France:-)

We came here after work as a group, it was a Thursday night and the place was a bit empty. The service was great and quick, staff was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered a few appetizers for the table such as tuna tartare, shrimps and baked brie cheese, which tasted delicious!!! I had steak and fries for main, my colleagues had different dishes and everyone enjoyed their meal. It looks like it could be a nice place for a romantic dinner, if you are looking for one.

The crepe with beef is great! The onion soup (a symbol of French cuisine) in their preparation - I don't like it, I guess they use the cheapest onion and the dish smells, I don't recommend. Smoked duck is nice, a little dry, but maybe it is supposed to be that. The mashed potatoes they put on the siding was not worth the restaurant level, they also put onion in it. Beer. Bottled IPA comes from Goose brewery opposite the street - good, however, draft one is lower than average as well as most canadian beers. Hope wine is better, I did not try it. Btw, it is supposed to be a French restaurant, why do they have Chile on the menu? Honestly, we went there, because a very famous nearby Italian place was too busy (40 min wait time).

We decided to try something different and a little on the fancier side for our most recent date night and Le Papillon was the perfect spot as we don’t really do French cuisine. The place itself is gorgeous and has a lovely vibe. The service was exceptional right from the moment we entered the place. Good variety of drinks including wine and cocktails. For starters, we went with the much-hyped French onion soup, and it was DELICIOUS. I’d keep coming back just for the soup. Their crepes looked really tempting so we had to try one (seafood) and it did not disappoint. The Cassoulet was one of their top items and more on the meaty side. The portions were just the right amount. Their desserts were a perfect end to our lovely evening, especially their Pouding Chômeur! Overall it was an amazing experience dining at Le Papillon and would highly recommend it for a date night or just a casual evening with friends.

Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night as there were quite a few empty tables in the restaurant. We got the escargot and french onion soup to start, then the classic coq au vin and smoked duck breast for our entrées. The service was generally good, except we found a piece of hair in our glass of water. The food was good as I expected but nothing to be excited about either.

Love the chicken liver pâté. Duck breast and tuna are fine. Ambience very good, traditional French restaurant style. Service was great. Would come again.

nice ambiance, excellent service and friendly staff. food was good, but dont expect a blissful gastronomic experience. escargot would be better if served in the shells with escargot tong and had more garlic & butter. crepe de la mer was so delicious i would visit again just for it. portion of duck breast and new york steak were kinda small but taste good. burnt sugar layer of creme brulee was way too thick but i like the pudding part. wine was solid, nothing to criticize.

Lovely French bistro. Warm & welcoming. Nice menu, reasonably priced. Enjoyed the Hugo cocktail, French onion soup (a little thick but wonderful flavor) & bœuf bourguignon (so delicious!). Service was great.
