I love Cora's; my favourite place for brunch! This location is as good as any other.
Food: My go-to dish here is the April 89; absolutely and consistently delicious! Fruit, custard, and whipped cream all wrapped in a crepe and it's HUGE!!!!! Best ever :D I once had a sausage and egg breakfast with home fries, and it was also delicious, if a tad more expensive than other sausage and egg breakfasts.
Service: Honestly, the service was just ok. Nothing bad, but nothing great. I'm sure the servers are busy, but they really are to the point with no small talk, which is fine and may actually preferred by some.
Price: Cora's has always been a tad more pricey for brunch than other places, but here in the city it actually fits in. But it's fine because the potions are actually huge and the fresh fruit is flavourful. :)
Summary: This Cora's location has the same great food and usual prices as all of them; it's just the service that is not exactly great. Not bad, but not great. Nonetheless, I love Cora's and would eat here every day if I could afford it :)
Solid early morning option. Ordered the Breakfast on a cheddar crêpe. Order came out quickly and the server was very polite, topped up the coffee frequently and it was actually really tasty (High praise from a british guy who is usually used to heart clogging fried goodness for breakfast)
Love to come back. I enjoyed a great father's day breakfast here. Great tasting pancakes and beautiful presentation. The service here is also impeccable. I would definitely come back to this Cora's.
Excellent Healthy Choices. While not all the choices are "heart healthy", most are. I was able to have a very heathy breakfast with friends who could indulge their breakfast passions. What a wonderful place. The service was spot on. Steph was fun, bright, and informative. We are new to Toronto and she made us feel like regulars. Really wanted me to come back. So we did. We had breakfasts their on our second day. While we did not have the "Steph" experience, it was terrific. The ability to have a truly heart health breakfast with friends who can have what ever they want, is a real pleasure. I only wish these restaurants were located in the US! Thanks for a terrific visit!
As per its reputation an excellent place for breakfast with fresh fruit, attentive service and good prices. BUT there is aways a massive queue at weekends, they could really do with extending the restaurant size and the hosts to wait tables faster. I've often gone here for breakfast although waiting for a table lining up on the street is a big turnoff
I 'liked it' to an extent - the food was great but it took FOREVER to get and we showed up after 1 and the restaurant wasn't packed. Seems to be the situation at any Cora's I've been to though - maybe corporate can come up with a way to reduce wait time cause there's a great product here
Nice patio - Nice Breakfast. Along with a friend, I was taking a short holiday in Toronto. It was a beautiful day. We went on a walkabout seeking a place for breakfast.
Decided on Cora's. We couldn't resist the patio and having breakfast in the sun. Our food was very good. I had a traditional breakfast. I am sure she had some frou-frou thing that probably involved some fruit, maybe even some yogurt or who knows maybe even oats.
We enjoyed it. The service could probably of been a tad more observant. But it was a nice enough day not to worry too much about it.
They also had a yummy smoothie and good fresh OJ.
Very tasty!. Breakfast here was very good. The bacon was crispy and the potatoes were seasoned nicely. I loved how they had many options for fresh fruit, all presented very nice. They even had peanut butter for my toast! A great way to wake up!
I love cora!!!. Cora is the best breakfast place ever! All there food served at all the locations are delicious with fabulous fresh fruits. Every mouthful is sinfully delicious. Everything is so beautifully presented, I have no complaints! I've tried their seven of july, 1990's harvest, fruit magic, omelet, and yogurt crunch, all so great, I'm drooling just thinking about it. Plus, all their items are so healthy that there's no guilt eating them.
Review in haiku:
Busy little place.
Big portions; lots of fresh fruit.
Terrible coffee.
Loved it. Both times. Great food. A bit of a wait on a Saturday morning but it's worth it. A bit leary of chains but this local chain delivered the goods.
Love the food, hate the line ups.
A Dash Of Spectacular
+4.5
As crazy as it might sound, it was all very fresh. The fruit cut through the richness of the other food, and it all went down with lightly milked coffee in thick, ceramic cups.
Cora’s chain of restaurants is the result of the success story of Cora Mussely Tsouflidou and her first Chez Cora restaurant started in Montreal, Quebec in 1987. This breakfast chain has quickly grown to become a very popular breakfast destination, while
Did people eat more in the ’90s? I’m not sure. All I know is I ordered the 1990s Harvest for breakfast at Cora’s on Saturday and it sure was a gigantic portion!
If you are looking for a breakfast place this place provides really exciting options for sandwiches, crepes, oatmeal and other breakfast items. I tried the chicken sandwich which came with a huge plate of fruits, the food was filling and of good quality. Though it takes a little long for the food to come but its all worth it, only thing i would suggest to these guys is if their prices are a little less. Its a little expensive for me to have a 12$ sandwich with some fruits. If money is not your concern then you should definitely try it out.
This place is perfect to have a nice breakfast or brunch. Food here is delicious.
Menu has a lot of options and plates always come with salad or fresh fruit.
The best thing is that the food is not fatty and oily like most of the places serving this kind of menu.
The grilled crêpe is amazing!
Cora is a great place to grab breakfast or lunch in downtown Toronto. There are a ton of unique options, that I haven't seen anywhere else. My friends and I got breakfast there two days in a row and would have went more if our trip had been longer. The Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, The Bobby Button, Triple Hinger Buster, and Breakfast Poutine were are very delicious and filling.
Cora’s is classic, legendary. Menu brings a lot of options to the table. Staff is friendly and very professional. Food is tasty. If you go around 10am-11am you might have to wait since is the busiest hour! They don’t have the option of alcoholic drinks like Mimosas, but the one close to the Blue Jays does offer.
I like the quality and taste. I had spinach and cheddar omelette and I enjoyed that with a glass of fresh juice of day (mango-orange-apple and raspberry). Service was good and friendly. Only problem was washrooms. It wasn't clean!!!
Great environment. Saturday mornings are always packed. There is wait time. The servers are really nice. Heavy meals. Overall a great experience.
It is Cora afterall. Serving our tastebuds since 1987. Great varieties, great options for both vegetarian and non vegetarian (more for non veg). Weekends is usually a waiting time to be seated and no you cannot call to make reservations. Staff is generous and polite.
The cappucino we ordered was served bit cold but was replaced once we asked for a new one. And there was a hair once in my egg benedict, they replaced it and gave a new one and charged me half price. Well, maybe it happened just once but 4 star for that once thing. Nothing against the restaraunt for that. I still go here. Just not a 5 star anymore for this incident.
Thanks.
Happy eating.
The service here was great!
I went with the Joe the Undecided, which is a great choice if you're someone who likes savoury & sweet!
The food itself was so satisfying, this dish came with eggs, bacon, hash browns & a Nutella crepe with Rye bread toast on the side!
It was so unbelievably filling!
