Finally got a chance to try your food truck at the movie wardrobe sale in Toronto yesterday and was not disappointed. Ordered the lobster roll and wow was it delicious!!!!! So fresh and tasty and made me want a second one lol!! Loved it!!!!
The food here tasted so fresh and was cooked to perfection. That's the best grilled octopus I've ever had. I've had it all over the world and it's normal tough and chewy but they didn't over cook it at all. Just right.
Excellent seafood tacos the shrimp and octopus very taste and fresh
Very delicious food in a special cool atmosphere
Best Po Boy in Toronto !!
Yummy!! One of the highlights of the St Lawrence Market!
Amazing food every time!!!! well worth the drive down town!!!!
You're just not going to find better seafood, prepared super fresh, anywhere in Toronto....and I don't care how much youre paying for it. Busters is awesome. A must visit and all the fun of the St Lawrence market thrown in.
Ate Fish & Shrimp Tacos from their food truck at Riot Fest in Toronto! So delicious!!!
Best Service ! Very Welcoming & will always eat there !! Best in Toronto
Was at The Delicious Food Show and had The Lobster Roll. It was soooooooo good. The perfect roll and overflowing with lobster meat. Delish!!!!!!!!!!
DELICIOOOOOOOOUS Lobster roll !
I cannot find the right words to describe the food. there is only one way. Try it!
Way overpriced, but tasty
just had a seafood orzo and it was AMAZING!! ... like the last 20 times or so... Love love love this place!
Skip the Lobster Roll. Opt for the Shrimp Po'boy. Thank me later. House salad is average. Veggies are fresh. Definitely a must visit while in the market.
Lots of options to choose from. I got lucky there wasn't a long line in a Tuesday evening. I tried haddock on a bun and fried calamari. Food is delicious.

Semuanya dijamin juara!

After watching it on Eat Street (India episode on fox life channel), finally made it here. Went straight for the lobster roll as seen on TV. On itself and if you combine it with the fries along with it (which I tend to do with every sandwich or burger I have), tastes and works really well. Crawfish and crab cake are next. Your time will come, just wait. Till then make it a must visit place.
I'm a big fan of BSC not just because of the great food but mainly because of the way they sell it. Their in St Lawrence market and on Saturday morning try getting a spot to sit infront of the restaurant, good luck.
They have a great selection of items and it just looks awesome. The fish is freshly prepared for you so you can be assured of good quality.
We ordered the crab cakes and halibut & chips. The crab cakes were really good, despite only being served 2 pcs I didn't mid as it tasted great. The halibut was perfectly fried, cooked and with the right batter. Be warned that the chips/fries are a lot and definitely outweigh the main.
Overall this place has to be tried out especially for sea food lovers
Great fish and chips, reasonable price. Very long line in the afternoon during summer. There were at least lots of empty benches outside. Very delicious.
I have been to Buster's sea cove a few times already and it's only fair I write a review! Sitting in the heart of St. Lawrence market this little fish n chips joint has earned a prominent spot in the market and reputation over the past decade.
I love how the fresh fish is displayed and after you have placed your order, you can watch them cook your catch!🐟😶 It makes you salivate as you greatly anticipate your fish prepared to perfection!😊 I love the halibut here as I would in any fish n chips place. But I've also tried the Boston blue fish which took me by surprise as it was very good! The meat was juicy and sweet, full of flavor. I enjoy how the batter is light here and the catch is consistently fresh.
I always enjoy walking around St. Lawrence market and finding gems like Buster's sea cove. The sights and sounds of the market are mesmerizing! Buster's sea cove definitely adds livliness to this food market!🤗🐟🍟
A very fun unassuming cart in the at Lawrence market. Hardly a place to sit but you can walk around the market with a massive carton of calamari and just enjoy. The muscles are very good as well. Highly recommended.
Amazing sea food place in the St. Lawrence Market. Everything I have tried has been good. A must if you are in the area. Had the Halibut and chips last time I was there, and enjoyed it very much.
Buster's Sea Cove by far has the best calamari in Toronto. Their fish and chips are also delicious. Though the line is usually long (as it is an extremely popular place for seafood), it is always worth the wait.
One of my favourite lunch places. Expect long lines but they move pretty quick. Hallibut on a bun is amazing. All of the fish and ingredients are fresh and tasty.
I absolutely LOVED this place! A must for every sea food fan (and a must for good lovers too)! Don't let the cue put you off, they are very organized with waiters taking your order while you cue and your dish will be ready in no time! We ordered the bbq octopus, grilled calamari and fried calamari (a delicious treat with the sauce they give with the order)! A great hit!
Amazing fresh seafood! To be honest I haven't had anything grilled from here because of all of the amazing deep fried options!
The grilled calamari is delicious, their fries are great, but my favourite are the halibut or cod on a bun sandwiches packed full of flavor.
This is an absolute treat, but be prepared to wait in line and fight for a place to sit and savour the deep fried deliciousness.
Buster's has been a lunch favorite for a long time. If you arrive at noon, be prepared for super-long line-ups; it's well worth the wait though. I usually try to get there around 11:30 to avoid the rush.
The swordfish sandwich is a thing of beauty. The fish is grilled to perfection, and the sandwich itself is flavoured with a lovely garlic oil, aioli, and hot sauce and garnished with cucumber, tomato and lettuce. This sandwich alone is what keeps me coming back.
The fish and chips are pretty good - lightly battered and crispy fish, and crisp fries. Served with a generous helping of coleslaw made in house.
The portions are big, and the prices are super reasonable.
The $13 Lobster Roll was delicious and would have been worth every penny had they made it a little larger.
Return visit. Great fresh seafood. Ordered the grilled calamari and lobster bisque. Both were well prepared. Though soup service was slow the cooking brigade handles the busy volume quite well. This place is a must try. 90%
Loved it. The sandwiches are unforgettable. Loved every bite. I would go there every day if I live close by.
Just got grilled salmon sandwich. Awesome. Delicious. Salmon serving size was very generous. Definitely a treat and excellent value for money and time. :)
Lunch at the market. Grilled calamari, green salad and a Diet Coke. A perfect light lunch on a sunny afternoon in Toronto. Visited last week and am sure to return for a repeat visit. Perhaps I will try one of the fish sandwiches next time. Generous use of garlic on the calamari and in the salad dressing. Very appealing.
Fresh Seafood. Pros:
- Fresh Fish... FRESH!
- Fish sandwiches are awesome. Onion rings are great
Cons:
- Fries are mediocre
- Busy
Busy means fresh. Nice to see that Toronto has a place to get good fish. I look forward to trying out their different fish options
Had the grilled squid as all recommended with salad. Was worried it might not be enough but the portion was HUGE! Tasted so fresh and perfectly grilled/seasoned. The atmosphere is fun - we were given burgers to try (see pic) bc they're considering it as a food truck option which is something I Toronto needs! Go early if you want a seat
Fish sandwich a staple Something they do with the bread it's amazing and the fish is done perfect Great sandwich
Highly recommended. Can't decide which version of their calamari I enjoy more - deep fried or grilled on a bed of garlic oil infused basmati rice.
This place is usually packed, but the efficient staff make sure your wait is not too long.
The Halibut on a bun and the Orzo are our favorites, but given to lines, I'd be surprised if there were anything on the menu that wasn't excellent.
Great spot to be in the summertime is the St.Lawrence Market. Buster's is an awesome place to grab fresh seafood. The most is always busy, usually a lineup when I've gone. But it's worth the wait. The guys on the line are fun to watch. And yes they do take pride in what they do. 4/5
Best breakfast in Toronto. Omelettes are fresh and made to perfection. Guys seem to take pride in work and ingredients. Thanks to all at Busters.
The fish sandwich is near perfection. I would put it up there as one of the top sandwiches in the city ... On par with the Schnitzl Queen. Fries are not the best but the sandwich is substantial enough to stand on it's own.
I have been wanting to try Buster’s Sea Cove for over a year now. Their food truck had always eclipsed me, but it was their market location that I really wanted to go to (seeing as the lobster combo was the same price, but comes with only a bag of chips from the truck). Unfortunately, as you can see from their hours, it is hard to coordinate a time to go (and I am actually hungry). Last weekend, I finally got the chance to try it, and here are my thoughts.
Buster's was the first seafood food truck in Toronto and is famous for their lobster rolls and seafood tacos. At this location in St. Lawrence, they have an extensive menu with various fishes and sandwiches but no tacos. Their 'Special of the Day' was the lobster roll so I assume that that's usually the case, since it's their signature food truck order. You have the option of fries and coleslaw or salad for the side. I, of course had to go with Lobster Roll with Fries and Coleslaw for my order which was $15. We got our orders and headed to Will's to enjoy the food outside on the balcony. With food like this, there's just a sense of 'you need to eat this outside' kind of feeling attached to it.
The first bite was an explosion of the sea! The fillet of fish was soft, tender and moist, almost breaking apart when bitten into. The char of the grill also made the piece of fish very tasty, as it added a nice, almost slightly burnt flavor. I was also surprised by the size of the fillet in the sandwich, as it was quite large. The appearance also served on a piece of "newspaper" which provided a very rustic feel.
I decided to get the Crab Cake Sandwich, the sandwich was huge that I could only eat half of it. One thing that I love about Buster's is that they toast the bread. The crab cake was full of crab with little filler. When I had the other part of the sandwich, cold, it was equally as delicious as when it was hot.
I honestly don't think there's anything better than good seafood and when I found out Buster Sea Cove had a food truck that sold lobster rolls I had to check it out. The food truck is usually dock somewhere different each day so all over downtown can get their lobster rolls.
I went for the Grilled Swordfish ($12.95) with fries (+ $1.25). It’s been awhile since I’ve had such fresh fish. Grilled perfectly it’s simple and that’s exactly how I wanted it. No extravagant sauce (not this time at least ;D). I love the curly fries but I prefer the onion rings; the batter was light. P.S. St. Lawrence Market is glorious!
My brother and I split the lobster roll, which was served with a pickle and kettle chips, which was pretty delicious despite being served somewhat cold, was not at all for sharing. It’s a tiny sandwich, but at $13 for lobster, I shouldn’t have expected any larger. It’s lobstah! It was lobstah on a light buttery (oxymoron), toasted bun.
The sauce was light yet flavorful enough not to overpower the fresh natural flavor of the mussels and love how the lemon wedges was actually cooked together which gave the sauce a backdrop of lemony flavor (must try that at home). Nothing beat super fresh seafood =D
Buster's Sea Cove is my go to spot for all seafood cravings at St. Lawrence Market. Known for its excellent fish sandwiches, fried fish, curly fries and homemade coleslaw; this family-owned location has made quite a name for itself...
Buster’s also has a few other options you wouldn’t expect from a takeout stand. Grilled swordfish, seafood bisque, rainbow trout, even octopus to name a few. It ain’t fine dining by any means, but they truly do push the limits of what takeout is both in quality and selection.
Buster’s Sea Cove in the St. Lawrence Market in Toronto is very very popular and there are always long lines on Saturdays. Even though the line is quite long looking, the staff are very efficient, so it shouldn’t take too long to order and then receive your items. BaguetteGirl, CanuckGirl, Fabo and I went here to eat lunch since we heard the fish sandwiches were to die for. Plus, there was a long lineup, so there must be a reason why they were there. New England Clam Chowder (S- $3.80) comes with a small cup of goldfish crackers. CanuckGirl thought it was good but not very creamy. Calamari & Salad ($9.95) was actually just a box of calamari and then a box of salad. The calamari tasted fresh, but it wasn’t very crispy. It comes with a marinara type of sauce. The salad was pretty usual but it does come with a balsamic vinegar. Shrimp in Rose & Herb Sauce ($11.95) comes with a bed of basmati rice and slaw. Fabo enjoyed the size and freshness of the shrimp. Grilled Salmon Sandwich ($8.95)
The only down side to this place is that it's always packed for lunch. But the food here totally makes up for it. You simply cannot go wrong with picking something from the menu. They've also opened a sister restaurant in the lower level of the St. Lawrence Market. I gotta check it out next time.
I give Buster's a high score for its freshness, portions, and service.
Its no wonder this place has crazy line-ups on the weekends - its great food at a good deal. I had the Haddock & Chips (w/ coleslaw); prior to that meal I had the Blue Fish; I just love the fact the fried fish fillets are nary a bit greasy, its amazing - I didn't have that greasy oily feeling after eating from here.
The chips (fries) are great too - crispy and crunchy, but with a little tenderness so as not to be matchsticks :). Oh, and I also had the clam chowder - really really good stuff for a cold Winter's day.
Was glad to come early on a Saturday and get my order in and secure a seat - no word of a lie you may be standing and eating in the St.Lawrence Market as seating is almost impossible to find.
It used to be a tradition to grab a pea-meal bacon sandwich while at the Market; I think that will be on hold for a while now as I grab some fresh seafood meals from Busters. :)
Buster's Sea Cove - Buster's is domiciled inside St. Lawrence Market in downtown Toronto. You won't miss this place as it is quite evident due to it's consistent line ups and it is the only seafood eatery in the market. Buster's is known for their calamari, lobster, and anything related to seafood! My personal fave is the grilled octopus served on a bed of salad! Prices range between 10-20 dollars approximately. I rate this place a perfect 5 as it is for sure guaranteed seafood satisfaction!
Great seafood salads.
I know people go here for crab cakes, and fish & chips.
The swordfish salad is incredible, and they are sourcing really good seafood all year round.
Downside is that there's always a lineup around lunch time, but it's worth every minute that you're waiting.
One of the more popular food establishments in the St. Lawrence market, this seafood professional whips out fantastic tacos and meals be it lobster roll or fish tacos - and always drawing a huge crowd. That means coming in early to enjoy a freshly made seafood po’boy is definitely worth it. However, Buster’s lean closer to the more pricey range of casual dining and it’s a good treat for that special summer date or when feeling peckish after a hard day of groceries.
Several weeks ago I was at the St. Lawrence Market for a jam making class. After the class I had a few hours to kill and chose to walk around the market in search for something to eat. The options were endless, but ultimately I settled on calamari.
The line for Buster's was long, but it moved really quickly. I asked them the price difference between the grilled calamari and the fried calamari ($2 difference), so I went for the cheaper fried option. I had originally asked for a salad to go with my calamari, but changed my mind at the last minute and they were totally cool with me changing my order. It took less than 5 minutes for me to get my food.
I found an empty stool and began to eat my food. And there was a lot of it! The fries were good, but got soggy pretty quickly because of the box they came in (I asked for my food to go). The calamari was okay, but I did not really like the batter. Yet, even though the food was not amazing, something about the service and their really accommodating nature made the whole experience a good one. I am excited to try the other items on their menu. Oh, and they have debit. A huge plus since many vendors at the market only take cash.
Love love love this place! Its sooo busy at lunch so im usually eating there just before it starts getting packed. Wish there was more seating inside but as for the food, they do seafood right! The mussels and sardines are great, ive tried the calamari too and the octopus next time!
I got the PoBoy Shrimp Sandwich!
Oh MY GOD!
It was like my mouth went to Atlantic heaven.
The bread was not too soft not hard, the shrimp was nicely breaded, the accessories were pickles, cucumbers, lettuce, onions and tomatoes. There was a nice sauce which I think is unique to this joint that just brought it all together nicely. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, even if you aren’t a big seafood fan.
They are located at the back of St Lawrence Market. You should also browse the rest of the market for some fresh eats and groceries! They have an excellent variety of meats, cheeses, produce and sweets!
A must-try in St.Lawrence market! Amazing seafood and so many choices. I love the fish sandwiches with the fish of your choice. The bisques and chowders are also great.
The Clam Chowder at Buster’s Sea Cove (St. Lawrence Market) is so good that I find myself halfway through before I remember to snap a picture. Their Lobster Bisque is also off-the-chain.
I like this place because of its fair amount of items in the menu despite having just a small spot in St. Lawrence Market. There's always line but it goes smooth and food is cooked perfectly (I could judge from the calamari). Meals are usually made of a portion of fish and fries but you can choose to substitute fries with salad. The only bad thing that I can say about Buster's Cove is that there's the possibility of not finding a place to sit nearby, which can be annoying. But it's a place to visit for sure.
Every good thing that people usually say about this place is probably true. Buster's is always busy and they're always churning out awesome sea food. I've been to the outlet at St Lawrence Market more than once and I've never been disappointed. There almost always will be a queue, but it moves quickly. Place your order at the counter and pay, and wait till your number is called out.I've had a few different kinds of fish & chips - haddock, halibut, Boston blue - and they've all been great. It's always fresh and I've never been disappointed. Served with tartar sauce, a wedge of lemon, and a slaw salad, you certainly should try this once.I've also had the crab cake sandwich, and OMG! this is so bloody awesome, I wanted to just keep ordering the crab cakes. There's a tab too much bread crumb (personal opinion), but it's the taste that counts and it was awesome. If you're anywhere near the St Lawrence Market and crave seafood, don't go anywhere else - head straight to Buster's!
I love it! They have such amazing quality in their food. You can tell they care so much about what they are serving. 💕 the service is great! They have a lot of options. Also, delicious beers and cocktails. It's that kind of restaurant you'd think of coming back again. I highly recommend the fish and chips and the east coast oysters! So delish!!!
Awesome food, plenty of gluten free options with a dedicated fryer. Can pick fish type and batter type.
Fish and chips were great, the coleslaw was amazingly acidic it cut the fatty items perfectly.
I'll definitely come back to try more of their shrimp options. We ordered a battered cod taco and a grilled shrimp taco, a tiger shrimp po'boy, and the frings. What we liked most were the items with shrimp. What we liked the least were the onion rings in the frings, but it was still enjoyable. This order was enough to share between two people over lunch. The fish and chips option that other tables were ordering looked well portioned and I'd give that a try as well. Also, great service from the staff!
Favourite spot to get fish and chips in Toronto. The fish is so fresh and yes can be pricey but worth every penny. You have the option of a gluten-free batter, beer battered or even just grilled. Highly recommend the wild halibut. Generous servings, and really friendly staff.
Went last night and it was great. Had a Caesar salad and some haddock and chips and it was all pretty incredible.
I read some awful reviews on here before I went but am happy to report back it was delicious. Excellent service.
