Pre game drinks and a bite to eat
Stopped in with reservation just before 5pm. We were able to get a seat at the bar before the rush.
The bartender advised us to take advantage of the happen menu that was just about to end.
We ordered $4 Longboard Lager and steak frites.
The food was great as well as the service.
Also really enjoyed a couple of sunset soda’s
Great happy hour menu. Sometimes the restaurant can get busy which means staff is not always attentive but great food, I never leave disappointed in the quality of food!
Always a good choice with consistently tasty food! Loved our fish tacos and tuna stack. Very generous portion size. Great friendly and attentive service. Yum!
I've been to Cactus Club a few times now and every visit is amazing. The staff is incredibly accommodating and the service is fantastic. It's always so busy however we've never had any problems hanging out and grabbing a drink at the bar.
If you're stuck on a place to go I highly recommend Cactus Club for a great dinner and night out.

Went there because was recommended by someone. The food was delicious and was a good quantity. My jambalaya rice was awesome. It was soo much that I couldn't finish it. Went there without reservation but we got in within 10mins, so that was great. The ambience was good though the place was a way too but dark. But overall the food was great and will go back.
I ordered Rob's Crispy Chicken Sandwich (with no cheese, lettuce or onions). It was a good sandwich. The bun was really soft. I didn't find the sandwich overly spicy but it was messy (thank goodness for the large napkin!). The fries were good too. I'd get this again. Rochelle was my server and she took good care of me.
Went searching for a great place to try and found Cactus club as one of the top 5 restaurant to try during summerlicious the Toronto website. Luckily it wasn't too far from my hotel. Service is impeccable and extremely attentive, almost anticipating my requirements. The 3 course tasting menu was fresh and delicious. I had the ravioli, that sauce....! Salmon bowl and the key lime pie. Only complaint is my water glass smelled like eggs
Although there was a 40 minute wait (as they told us : not longer, and it wasn't), it was totally worth it. Had a cocktail while waiting for our table (very good, friendly bartenders). The food was to die for, I had the for mushroom sirloin. Cooked as requested and tasted absolutely amazing. My friend had the burger, I tasted it and it also very good! They played really good music (Dj).
The atmosphere is beautiful : the people and the deco. Go upstairs to watch the ball ceiling, super cool.
Great place for drinks with friends or to have supper
Love it!
Highly Recommended! The butter squash prawns were delish! Probably a must try and eat for every single visit. Drinks will leave you speechless too. To be precise, it all worth the price. Enjoy you night!
To start, we got Ravioli + Prawn Trio (RF/Rob Feenie dish, of course), which were stuffed with mascarpone and butternut squash, and made with truffle butter sauce. It was topped with a perfectly-cooked jumbo prawn and sprinkled with pine nuts. The pasta had a good bite and the stuffing was silky smooth. Super delish. I will get this for main course next time.
My friend and I got another RF-designated dish for our main: steak frites. I got cajoled into ordering a 9oz (as hubby was joining us as well and he can definitely help finish the extra 2oz from the regular serving). My medium Angus beef sirloin was cooked perfectly with a beautiful sear outside and pink and juicy as we sliced it. The kale salad on the side was just ok.
When hubby arrived, he ordered the Feenie burger--certified Angus beef, sautéed mushrooms, aged cheddar, smoked bacon and relish. I had a bite and it was moist and well-seasoned.
The vibe here is great and so are the drinks! I went here on a Saturday night with girlfriends and it was fun. I highly recommend the Perfect Storm, it's a really good dark and stormy. I can't wait to go back for dinner! It's always busy so definitely make a reservation.
The food here was really quite good but it was very expensive. This place is a chain from out west. I don't think I fit in here with the rich business and trust fund-type customers that are their usual crowd. The waitresses here wear very tight, form-fitting dresses, heavy makeup and all have perfect hair. Don't under dress or you'll probably feel awkward.
Anyway the truffle fries were great and the edemame was perfect. I tried a peach bellini which was really good. Limited vegan options unless you're looking for plain fries or a salad or something like that. (which you probably aren't)
There was absolutely nothing about the food, drinks, experience or service that put me off. It was really just the pretentious vibe I got. I probably wouldn't go back but if you're looking for a chain restaurant that's trying to be like a Moxie's but fancier, then check it out.
Came here with my friend on a busy weekday, we sat at the bar area.
Service was great.
Drinks:
THE BELLINI (4.5/5)
(peach schnapps, champagne, bacardi white rum and sangria)
I really liked this because it's sweet - no bitter alcohol taste (for light drinkers like me)! :D
Appetizers:
* EDAMAME
(steamed soybeans, sea salt)
* TRUFFLE FRIES (4/5)
(truffle, herbs, grana padano, garlic aioli)
Loved the truffle fries! I've always loved the truffle flavour and the taste is quite strong in this dish. It was a big portion, great for sharing.
Mains:
PAN ROASTED LINGCOD (4/5)
(lingcod, roasted mushrooms, brioche croutons, pearl onions, truffle butter)
Similar to the truffle fries, I ordered this because of the "truffle butter" description to this meal. The display was very pretty, the fish was served in the middle of a big pot with ingredients spread out on the side. It was very filling!! I really enjoyed the fish - it was fresh and flavourful because it soaked in a lot of the sauce.
Perfect place for celebrating success of my project .. Its right in the heart of financial district and next to my office .. It has excellent ambience and huge space with patio .. We tried yam fries flat bread and all was good .. Great staff with prompt service @
Great ambiance for a few drinks and a quick bite. DJ on "The Deck" sound a mix of 2000's hits. Mid 30s crowd. Decent variety of menu items. Daily drink specials. Would come back. Burger was tasty and satisfying. Fries resemble a slightly elevated McDonald's fries.
A decent spot for a bite or drink after work. You have to get their early in order to get a seat if you're just walking in. Service was great but food was slow to get to the table. Food was okay but the drinks were pretty tasty!
Cactus Club Cafe, located in Toronto’s financial district at 77 Adelaide Street West, celebrated the annual opening of their rooftop patio on May 14, 2016. The Cactus Club Cafe deck party featured a live performance and
I can't even put in words on how much I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!!😍😍😘😘. At first, I wasn't really feeling the place because it was sooo busy and we had to wait 20 minutes for a table😩. In the end...it was definitely worth the wait!!!! The food we ordered was AMAZING!!!! (Fish Tacos, Chicken Sandwich & Spicy Chicken) The washroom is gorgeous, the servers are very polite and attentive. I love love love this place and will definitely be going back☺. Recommend Recommend!!!
Cactus club is pretty delicious. I went for dinner with friends and everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the short rib sandwich with a kale salad and I have to say I cleaned the plate. I had a Bellini with dinner (they were on special) which was huge. The atmosphere of the place is very after work financial district, reminded me of an Earls type place.
Love the menu, atmosphere and servers. Food was delicious. I got the Tuna Stackers and my boyfriend got the burger and we shared a Calamari plate which was huge but delicious! I can definitely recommend this place to anyone.
I highly recommend this place. The service was great. The food was amazing. They cooked salmon perfectly unlike most places I've ordered fish at. The dishes are well thought out and executed. Most of all the price was reasonable for the quality of service and food you receive. They have drink specials each day. For a Tuesday lunch it's a lot busier then I expected. Reservation is recommended.
Loved the ambiance, and it was only a Monday night. Apparently the roof is retractable and they open it up during the summer months so im definitely going there during the summer.
Had the fish tacos, they were good. Its not a mexican place so I cant really criticize.
Great for drinks and both a large and small group!
Went there for an early lunch, 11am to be exact, as we heard there are long queues and no reservations allowed. We were the only people there. I say 11:30 is a good time to go.
Order the Baja Fish tacos - 2 huge flour tortillas with a good size fried fish stuffed with lots of shredded lettuce (ha-ha I think.it was white). It was delicious and still super hot and Crispy. It have been better if they had drizzle some of that mayo sauce. On the side, it was served with nachos. I ordered the Crispy Chicken sandwich as my entree with fries on the side. The sandwich was huge and messy to eat. I ended just eating the chicken with my fork and knife without the bread. It was quite tasty and crunchy!
We sat on the roof where it converts to a patio during the summer. There are heaters so no worries about getting cold. The interior was beautifully decorated! Great atmosphere and amazing service. I now understand all the hype and the popularity! Would love to check the dinner menu one night!

Great ambience and great food. I tried it in Edmonton first and liked it. Once I found that it's in my hometown I just had to go there. Would for sure go back again
Let’s be honest, I didn’t have high hopes for Cactus Club Café. Undeniably, it’s because the restaurant is part of a chain and perhaps I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to chains – their food is safe but generally not exceptional. Worse still, it’s hard to get reservations (they limit the number of tables daily) and there’s always a wait … time that comes between me and food is never good.
Indeed, the restaurant is popular for after hour drinks; the 500-seater an ideal venue to accommodate large groups. The single serve bottle of a Cordorniu brut clasico cava ($12) helped to satisfy my recent infatuation with bubbles, the dry sparkling wine perfect for ringing in the holidays.
The duck confit ($26 with an extra $9 for a second leg) was succulent, pulling easily off the bone as anything poached in oil should. While the dish had a lot of flavour, the duck itself was left neutral so you could taste the fowl. Whereas, the complimentary ingredients originated
“It’s going to be very exciting to see the reactions on our guests’ face when they enter the restaurant for the first time!” said Colin Denton, GM of Cactus Club Café. It was, indeed, exciting. Cactus Club Café occupies over 15,200 square feet of downtown’s prime First Canadian Place location. Celebrity Chef Rob Feenie creates a globally inspired menu made with fine ingredients.
Was quite excited to try this place after hearing many great reviews from people. We had a group of roughly 14 people and we decided to try a variety of appetizers and entrees. We ordered the Tuna Stack, Ravioli + Prawn Trio and the Mini Burgers. Simply loved all the appetizers. The Tuna Stack was nicely presented and was quite flavorful. The mini burgers were simply delicious with the added red pepper relish sauce. My friend recommended me to order the Hunter Chicken. The Chicken was so moist, succulent and was cooked to perfection. The portions size for this dish was a good amount and I could have eaten 5 more of these dishes. It was just that good. Definitely one of the best chicken dishes I've had. The staff were super friendly and customer service is what they really strive for. Another highlight of the night was when I got the chance to meet the Executive Chef Rob Feenie. Overall, great place to eat after a workday or simply hanging out with friends for a nice dinner meal.
Nice food and atmosphere but quite expensive. Excellent service. They brought in a whole bunch of servers from their west coast locations to set the tone.
I met up with a friend on the warmest November day we have had in a very long time in Toronto and we decided to go for lunch. We had an event to go to in the evening but had lot's of time to linger over a nice lunch so I suggested going to the Newly opened Cactus Club Cafe restaurant. The restaurant created by Vancouver well known Chef Rob Feenie brings the West Coast to the East Coast.
Love the set up, ambience and location. Went on a Tuesday night and it was packed with people. Its definitely my new hangout spot, I will be back soon.
Finallyyyy!! Reunited and it feels so gooood!
Being deprived of Cactus Club after moving out East and waiting for years for this one to open has been difficult which makes the reunion so much sweeter.
My favourite chicken, cranberry and pesto quesadilla and bellini were just as I've remembered them- the best :)
The familiar surroundings and decor were similar to those in Vancouver and produced roughly the same ambiance.
The Vancouver imported friendly waitress also really helped as she was a gem and a total pro.
Can't wait to go back in 3 days and try some of Rob Feenie's new menu additions. Everything looks and sounds delicious!
Visited the recently opened Cactus Club. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The space is great. The food is even better. The braised short rib is simply fantastic. Definitely a great place to eat in the financial district.
Judging from only a single cocktail I had I can tell management has put a lot of effort into the atmosphere. The decor is excellent and the wait staff is certainly hand picked eye candy. The seats and table are all well appointed and the staff is very assertive and attentive. Definitely a fine addition to the earls and reds banker crowd in the financial district.
I’m going to give a solid 5 stars to this spot. The service on Sunday night was amazing from the security to the hosts; everyone was happy and pleasant, they all seemed like they wanted to be at work. Our server was incredibly polite, she asked if we were celebrating and I said it was my birthday so she had a cake done for dessert for me. It was super sweet of her and another server stopped by to compliment my dress. Our drinks were so good and quick!! The chefs even cooked our steaks rare, like we wanted them. Very few other places in town have successfully delivered a good rare steak without being fine dining, so whole team did a great job. This team seems very well formed and the hiring manager should give them self a pat on the back.
Outstanding staffs, well managed resturant. most side dishes are awesome , starter and dessert were really good but the steaks were terribly prepared, very disappointing, we asked for well done new york steak, they prepared us an extra rare with almost zero taste and no seasonings.
We absolutely loved the vibe and the ambiance. great place for the first date, prices are good here. we will probably come back but not for the steaks!
This is a great place in Toronto, whether it be a meeting with friend or date with your special one. They have huge dine in area along with a rooftop space. You might feel it is a bit crowded but if you are someone who likes it, the vibe is amazing. The food menu is really good. It doesn’t matter what kind of a foodie you are, there’s always good food for you. The Blackened Creole Chicken is really good if you’re someone who loves chicken with lil spicy flavour to it. They also do have a lot of green and vegan options as well. The interior along with good lights give a very good atmosphere you will enjoy during your time there. The staffs provided decent customer service. I am definitely going back. ❤️
Variety of tasty picks, including steak, bowls, sandwiches/burgers and more. The restaurant had a clean, roomy interior with friendly and attentive service. Highlight of the dishes was the ceviche! We went before 5 PM on a Saturday to take advantage of the extensive happy hour menu.
Love the vibe in this bar, perfect place to hang out late night with friends
DRINK: the Bellini was so refreshing and tasty, sweet and easy to drink.
FOOD:
• Tuna poke bowl: light and tasty, I love how they stacked up layers of flavor in stead of mixed them.
• Sweet potato fries: Absolutely my favorite, it goes so well with the drink together with the creamy sauce.
INSIDE: super crowded, if you don't have reservation you can barely get in. The vibe was amazing, light was dimmed enough but not too dark.
SERVICE: very quickly and super friendly.
The food was absolutely delicious and made for an amazing dining experience as a group. We dined on the rooftop, with good service throughout our lunch. The szechuan chicken lettuce wraps were the pick of the day (eaten before any pics were taken) - filled with flavour and super refreshing. The med bowl was a great compliment to the entire meal as well. Would definitely return! Pics: Med Bowl and Butternut Squash Ravioli with Prawns
Pretty nice Cactus Club location. Definitely make a reservation as it’s quite busy. I visited the rooftop which has a different menu than the dining room. The flavour of the food is really great. I found the drinks a little on the sweeter side for my personal taste. Would visit again.
A very large restaurant with an elevated Pickle Barrel feel. The menu is extensive and it was easy for us to find something we were excited about.
The food was good, but felt vastly prepared l, like we were a part of a wee factory. The place was crowded and seats were close.
The food was good, but we likely won’t be back- there are just too many excellent restaurants in Toronto to spend our time here.
