Review Patria - Toronto

Pretty decent food. Super small size and pricey for what it is. But overall a good experience to go with friends and get a chance to try a little bit of everything. Server was extremely friendly and the manager did a incredible job by comping the desserts because they were out of stock for multiple items we wanted. Would’ve been rated higher but I felt like the paella 🥘 didn’t live up to the hype I kept hearing about.

I was disappointed with this place. Their signature dish is the paella but it was the least satisfying. The rice had no flavour and the seafood was just sort of a garnish on top. It really didn't come together as a dish for me. The best dish was the beef tartar, lots of flavour though a bit sour. be ready to ask for more bread. The dates wrapped in bacon were ok but way too sweet. Overall the food was very mid for the quantity and price. The atmosphere though was quite nice, it was a dark ambience. I probably won't be coming here again.

Service was excellent. Nice interior though bit loud/crowded when we went Saturday night. Food was good but not great, though beautifully presented. The meatballs were a bit salty. The croquettes and octopus were good. The Paella was the best of the dishes we tried. For the price I expected better food though the place has a nice vibe if you don’t mind the noise.

One of the best Spanish restaurants in Toronto bar none! Super date friendly! Whether the food is good or not, the portions, the speed of serving, the service and the environment, the atmosphere, all are impeccable! Each server service is especially in place, feel the heart and attentive. I had a reservation for 6:15, but arrived half an hour early and they were very friendly and guided us in advance. Whether it's paella, bacon rolls or octopus, it's all very tasty! The taste and smell are all great! I asked about the details of the birthday cake when I made the reservation, and they called me back specifically. After that there were candles on the cake, giving my girl a birthday surprise! I could tell she was happy, and I felt the same way when she was happy! Thank you patria.(impact parking is very garbage, don't park here)

Patria was an amazing atmosphere, I do recommend making reservations as they were quite busy even on a weekend. We got the seafood paella it was amazing. The beef tartare and the sangria however were a bit too sour. The service was wonderful and fast overall I would definitely go back.

We came to Patria to celebrate a birthday. The staff were friendly and food was excellent. The decor and ambience of the place was quite nice as well. The paella requires a bit of a wait, but it was tasty and well worth it! We'd look forward to coming back again with a larger group of friends/family when the pandemic situation gets better.

This place is fantastic! The atmosphere and the vibe are amazing. The indoors is spacious with lots of room between tables and the outside has a really cute patio set-up (with heaters!). The service was excellent. And now to the food...the food was absolutely delicious! The tapas portions were really good for 2-3 people, depending on how hungry you are. The large paella was just right for a party of 3 (we had also gotten 3-4 tapas as you have to wait nearly an hour for the paella). The drinks were really good, too! Highly recommend this place and I'm definitely going back!

If I could rate this place more than 5 stars, I would. Absolutely EXCEPTIONAL attentive service - these guys are the DREAM TEAM!! Fantastic ambience, amazing food - you could not ask for a better place in the city. It would be a disservice to yourself if you don't go here!

I am giving this restaurant a poor rating. Yes, the place is great but the music is defeaning. We paid so much for a speck of food. They said the 30-dollar paella is good for 2 people but the portion is barely enough for one! The waitress isn't knowledgeable enough on the food portion, not even sure on the opening times. We understand the place is famous and they have some good ratings online. But for us this restaurant appears to be very smug. We will never go back there and I will never recommend this place to my friends.

Great decor and atmosphere. That being said, out of the 4 dishes we ordered, only one was worth it. The croquetas de jamon were still cold in the center and the aioli sauce was very liquid, not at all like the creamy sauces used in Spain. The patatas bravas were BURNT, and the sauce was more like tomato sauce again nothing like authentic sauces. Hard to enjoy even if the sauce was right considering the overwhelming taste of burnt potatoes. The pear salad I ordered had a couple of great ingredients but quite a few were pungent flavors that did very little to complement one another. It only heightened the pungency and not in a good way. The only dish that was worth finishing was the pimientos rellenos de buey. The buey was very well seasoned and cooked and it paired nicely with the manchego. I would NOT recommend it for an authentic Spanish experience and would caution against it considering the low quality of the food. Wish we would’ve had the opportunity to try the paella but it’s a 45 minute wait and we were only there for picadillos. All in all, would not eat here again.

The food was good, the small paella 🥘 was enough for two after a few tapas... definitely the sangria is not the best I tried before, try to fix it guys, specially for a "Spanish style" restaurant, the traditional drink should be the best. No music, to much voice noise, no really good for a romantic dinner!

Two times I was there during my course in Toronto. It's a nice place. For me the best place to eat with your friend. It's amazing. Very nice decoration and very elegant. Prices are a little bit expensive but it's normal the this quality. Find a good food in toronto it's complicated (for me) and this is a sure value. It was nice. I'll never forget this place. I hope I'll go another time in my life. Nice staff. The cheesecake is amazing too.

Had a great meal in this warm space. Our waiter was the best. Catered to my high maintenance diet restrictions! Definitely will be back.

Patria was an incredible experience. The food, ambience, service, everything was perfect. The staff was courteous and efficient. Definitely a place worth visiting again.

Excellent Spanish wine list, knowledgable wait staff, wonderful ambience (we sat on private outdoor patio), and of course - the tapas! The quality if the food and the taste was outstanding. On the higher price side, especially for wine, but if you can afford it, the overall experience is great.

Lovely everything: food, space, not loud music that makes you deaf but nice background one. Wines outstanding too

4 of us came here for dinner last week, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would like to specifically highlight the outstanding service we received from our server Hayley. All of her recommendations were thoughtful, and spot on. She clearly understood the menu inside out, and really made our dining experience.

Ate in Patria with a group of 10 last weekend. We had no option but to have a fixed price menu. $70 per person and there wasn't enough food. People went home hungry. Way too over priced and no option to order yourself what suits your party. If 2 tables of 5 people can order at the same time, why can't they accommodate a party of 10?? $70 per person for barely enough food was ridiculous!!

Visually stunning restaurant -- beautiful and delicious food (meat balls and tartar were our favourites), and very professional, helpful and friendly staff. Excellent service!

A world class restaurant - amazing vibe, food, service, staff, interior, the inside and patio are equally nice...all around 5 stars!

We went there yesterday and it was perfect. Everything was delicious from starters to dessert, and the service was great too. I highly recommend if you want to spend some money on a good dinner, go there. The atmosphere is nice too.
