Decent steak house with decent food but not so great ambience and service. I had heard great reviews about this place so I had quite high expectations coming in. However, the moment we were seated very close to another table, I didn't have a good feeling (esp given Covid, I would've expected more distancing). It felt crowded, loud, and dark with no sense of privacy. But I suppose it's a restaurant downtown with limited space so I was able to look past that.
When it came to the food, I got the dry-aged rib steak, and I felt the steak was a bit over-salted and tough to cut through/chew some parts. My boyfriend asked for his steak medium rare but it looked very much rare as it came red. The best things we had that night were the Caesar salad (grilled pork is a nice touch), and the fries (crispy and nice). Unfortunately, the steaks were nothing to rave home about. Their portions are large however, so it will fill you up even without bread/butter (which they don't provide).
Service wise, I felt our server just did the bare minimum. He didn't attempt to make a conversation with us or explain any of the dishes. I suppose we expected top notch service and food from a restaurant that has been around so long and so highly rated. Sad to say, it didn't live up to our expectations and will probably not return again.

First time going to this place and all I gotta say is, food is great (even at its price) but the staff and service take the cake. Worth every penny. The wine cellar is a must visit, just ask and they should be able to show you. Had my friend’s bachelor party here and it was a superb experience. Will be back for sure.

Barberian's lived up to the hype! One of the best I have had yet! Apps are not bad either, my personal favorite is jumbo shrimp with that bomb sauce. Love the setting and decor inside! Definitely going back!

Steaks here are excellent, and service was phenomenal as well! Very classic old school decor and atmosphere in the restaurant, and they have a very large list of drinks available. Food menu is a bit smaller, but it's done very well, and this is a steakhouse, so this type of menu is expected.

Me and a large group of close friends had an incredible meal here, with excellent service.
The staff was quick and extremely pleasant, and explained all of the menu options to us in a thorough way. The drinks, appetizers and steak were all perfect and I would highly recommend Barbarians to anyone looking for a great night out.
Extra shout out to the staff who also went above and beyond to give my party of 7 people a private room. Definitely a nice surprise we did not expect, but really appreciated.

Old feel restaurant like we are in the 70-80's no need to renovate the food here is fantastic. For the wine lovers there are hundreds if not thousands of bottles to choose from.
The meat lovers, my ribsteak was cooked to perfection and the 28 days of resting really tenderized the meat giving it a soft moist and not chewing steak like other places. They have their own spices so it's not just a slab of meat and some salt. It was very flavourful and I really enjoyed it.
The baked potato was just ok nothing special, they could definitely use some more options for the sides other than fries, baked potato, and onion rings. But you don't come to this restaurant for the sides or the apps. More the meat and the wine.
The service was like no other. They constantly checked in, topped up our drinks and were very quick to clean the table and replace our cutlery. Great job loved the service.

I had high expectations for this steakhouse and unfortunately the service was mediocre which was a huge disappointment. Our server 'RR' didn't make any eye contact with us while at our table. Almost forgot about our side orders as well.
The food itself was excellent! We had the potato croquettes, steak tartare, dry aged steak, filet mignon and the chocolate lava cake. The beef was cooked perfectly to our liking.
