Review Ricarda's Toronto - Toronto

I quite like the relaxing atmosphere. Cheap, good coffee, a variety of baked goods, and an airy cafe space make for a relaxing start to a workday. Having lumbar support on the tall chairs would be nice, though.

Probably one of the best Eggs Benedict in town, and it's not just about the taste, it's also how they make it -- every restaurant should use this technique, chefs: pay attention! Inside decor is very Art Deco style. Service was great. Live music was a great addition to the atmosphere and more restaurants should do this.

2022 March 4.5★ Cafe menu only. Step inside this modern and elegant European inspired restaurant and you'll feel at ease. Large tables makes it great for groups. During this time, they've recently opened up only their cafe area. Miso Fettuccini Pasta - rich, creamy and full of flavours. Back bacon, wild mushrooms and Parmesan cheese. A kid friendly meal. Would order it again. Short Rib Croissant - nice thick simmered and soft short ribs with brie cheese and a side of nice crispy fries. This was also very good. Salmon Brussel - mustard baked salmon and Parmesan Brussels sprouts. The salmon was perfect and the mustard seeds gave it a nice crunch with the salad. Beef Burger - a nice thick patty, with the usual toppings. Didn't seem special, but the fries were indeed very good. Mocha - great. Not too sweet, but just perfect with the nutty flavors. Excellatte Matcha Oat - a rich Matcha taste. Food and drinks were great. Atmosphere can either be calm or lively depending on when you come. Would come again.

Tldr: great food, vibe and service. If you are thinking about going, stop thinking and just go! You won't be disappointed! Vibe: went for brunch time, and the vibe was amazing from the moment we walked in. It has a modern french aesthetic, slightly feminine but not overly so (I went for a bachelor party brunch there). The seats were comfy. The space was open and vibrant which made the entire experience start off right. there was live music by two jazz musician who were rifting and being creative. It really felt like serious and consious thought was taken in constructing the experience of this restaurant, which I appreciated. Food: DELICIOUS! I had an Americano and the shakshouka (pics attached). The coffee was well made. Beans were well roasted and coffee even when black was really nice. The shakshouka was also good, I enjoyed it, however I wish they had taken it a bit further and also added some caramelized onions. But that's a preference thing. They gave me free sour dough bread when I ran out which was kind, since that bread was sooo good. Service: they were kind and assisted in ordering when required. The chef also walks around and makes light convo which was nice. Overall a great experience, you won't be disappointed.

I had high expectations for this place and came out very mildly disappointed. The live two-piece jazz band for brunch was great and the decor was modern (though the tables could be updated). They even had a living wall for those that appreciate plants. The food I did not like so much. Prices were low which was good but everything came out overly salty (we ordered the Croque Madame and Short Rib Hash) and that's saying something aso have a high tolerance for salty food. Menu was so-so. Cocktails were standard and service was attentive.

Very different sort of venue which we really enjoyed. I would recommend this space for people who like to spice things up. The architecture and lighting were so fun for our 70s Glam Party.

Ricarda’s is a brunch staple, it's definitely a must try for foodies. Food was good, service was a little slow when it got busy. Officially, this is a 4.5 rating.

An event from our work company, DentalCorp had an after party ODA ASM 2022. Welcomed with two enchanting ladies one serving the wine and the other pouring wine on a swing. Plenty of delicious food served. Amazing live band!

Have been meaning to try this place for a while. Beautiful space, though the acoustics are bit problematic. It gets very noisy as the night goes on. The food is a wonderful mediterranean mix. Our group of 4 loved all their dishes. We recommend the fabulous octopus salad, the tuna and salmon crudo is outstanding. For mains we loved the prawn saffron risotto, lemon saffron linguine and we all agreed we would go back for the uniquely deconstructed and excellent bouillabaisse. Desserts are a hit too; check out the dark chocolate lemon mousse, the tiramisu and the milk chocolate pavlova. Service was a bit slow at times, but it was a busy Saturday night. Good wine list and some interesting specialty cocktails. Highly recommend you try this place.

Everything was exceptional. Just one complaint...we ordered 2 different glasses of wine. One was perfect but the other tasted spoiled. The server took it away for the Sommelier to investigate. Turns out, it was. They had absolutely no problem getting a new glass which was nice. We decided to share another glass of wine, this time, yet another different wine. It too was spoiled. We didn't want to say anything this time because we didn't want to be a bother. But my sentiment is that if a place has a Sommelier on staff, they should be checking all wine. 2 out 3 glasses of wine that are spoiled is not good. Hopefully just a bad coincidence. That aside, the food was incredible! The atmosphere was great and the staff were so kind and attentive. We'll definitely go back again!!

The decor is quite beautiful inside Ricarda's and the location is perfect. It's nice to see a bakery in the front where you can buy freshly made bread and quiches. Our server, Rebecca, was very good we were given just the right amount of attention. But the food had way too much going on. Any flavours were lost in some complicated concoctions that hid the top quality of the dish. Two of us had the burrata ravioli which on its own was great but the sauce was heavy and had some addition to it that made the entire dish cloying. The desserts could have been spectacular but again were far too complicated. Less is more and simple flavours are where it's at.

Amazing experience!! Food is absolutely delicious way beyond words. Make sure to try their homemade pasta. Grilled octopus salad is out of this world yummy. Lamb shank is a must try. Service was exceptional from beginning to end. Would highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

Wonderful Easter brunch. Wide variety to choose from. Attentive service and wonderful atmosphere - jazz trio was the perfect touch for a Sunday brunch. Desserts selection is mouth drooling worthy. Great for families as well as couples.

I am usually not a fan of such large open dining spaces, but I love this space! It is warm and there are always great vantage points for people watching. The seats are comfortable and the food is exceptionally. I live the attention to detail. Best bakery in Toronto! The service is not were it should be yet but the staff are kind and working at it. Food and physical space are 5 star. Service is 3.5

Food was pretty good, but management needs work. Nearly half a bottle of wine was spilled on the table, the floor and on my sweater. Wait staff did their best to clean up and remove stains from my sweater. Manager was nowhere to be seen. Will not be back.

The food was delicious and the service was amazing. One of our party has numerous food sensitivities and the chef took a personal interest and created something amazing for him to eat. The jazzy-blues duo playing added to the enjoyable evening.

The atmosphere is good. The food is average. Appetizer was best of the menu. Service was good.

I love Ricarda's! Amazing (and affordable) food, excellent service and a beautiful space. Fresh bread baked in-house and a diverse menu that offers something for everyone - from omnivores to vegetarians (and there are some vegan options too!) - you can't go wrong here.

The service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and took excellent care of us. There were 8 of us and we each had something different. Everyone's food was delicious, with the exception of the lamb burger, which was a tad dry. Other than that, everyone left pleased.

Stunning place, quality food and competent staff. It has a special flare that is not easily found in Toronto.
