A group of us went there for dinner and Kimberly was our server. She was an excellent server!!! The food was delicious and you get what you paid for.Excellent server, delicious food and a great company equals a night to remember. In highly recommend this restaurant, best steak ever!!!

Great experience! It was our anniversary and the occasion was made memorable. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. The food was well prepared and of excellent quality. I ordered the cowboy ribeye and it was perfectly cooked, perhaps too big, but what can you do? I would recommend to anyone who wants a classic steakhouse meal.

We had our first visit to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse this past Saturday for my twin sister & I's birthday (party of 8 ). We had a fantastic time & even more fantastic meal. Our waiter Glenn was also phenomenal & oh so funny! There was a bit of a mixup with some of the bills but he promptly had the errors corrected without any issue. Thank you for the great service!

Ive been to this restaurant many times and have never had a bad experience! The staff are very quick and polite ensuring the best experience possible. The food and atmosphere are amazing. Hands down my favourite steak house to go to!

Great resturant, amazing food! We came as walk-ins as another restaurant had messed up our reservations. They seated us the bar, as they had. We accepted. Then they found a table for us and treated us amazingly. From our waiter and waitress to the gentleman who appeared to be a manager. My girlfriend and I will be continuing quests for the far foreseeable future!

I had my dinner at the bar, the bartender Rose made sure to get my name and introduced herself to me, she made a point of making conversation with me and even though was really busy she was extremely attentive. My food was amazing I will be back next time I’m in town!

We had a great dinner! Steaks were excellent! Selena our server made our dinning experience perfect!! Which I expect at this price point. Will definitely go back next time I’m in town

I was craving steak and since we're staying at the Hilton, we decided to try out their food. Seated promptly and being served bread almost immediately was a nice touch. We ordered some drinks and a shrimp cocktail to start. The service was pretty good. The food on the other hand was great. I had a big juicy piece of filet doused in butter, served on a 500 degree plate- remember to raise a napkin between you and the steak, because it splatters. My steak was ordered medium and came out perfectly with a baked potato, mushrooms and broccoli as our separately ordered sides. Man, that was satisfying. We ended our meals by sharing the cheesecake and a molten chocolate lava cake with a side of fruit instead of the chocolate mousse- they were out of the chocolate mousse that's typically served as part of the chocolate duo, yet we were still charged full price?!

The Good, The Great and the Ugly- the service, the food, the decor.

The not so good is that it's a little pricey, but you definitely get what you paid for.

I write this as an average eater, not a high roller driving an Audi. Got the Ruth's special for 55 bucks. Ordered the blue cheese salad, steak and shrimp and it came with a cheesecake at the end. Definetly the best steak I've ever had. I ordered it blue rare but it came out to be rare because of the additional oven time. I was in a party of 6 so the time for everything to be cooked probably added to the oven time? The steak was super smooth and melted in the mouth. This place made the keg steak taste like fast food. The only downside was that the steak was pretty small but I was full with the appetizer and dessert. The other steak options are way too expensive, the "American import" is more of a marketing thing than taste feature. Worth a try if you have the mula!

Located in the Hilton Toronto Hotel, you can find Ruth's Chris by going down the elevators from the corner of Richmond and University. Ruth's Chris Steak House (@ruthschris) actually originated from New Orleans back in 1965, and has expanded all across North America and even have a location in Panama City. I had a slice of steak when I went to Toronto Taste back in June (and it was so good) .At Ruth's Chris, they are very proud to serve the highest quality USDA Prime beef. With that kind of standard, I was very excited to visit Ruth's Chris and try their steaks.

As we did come here for the summerlicious menu, we quickly browsed through Ruth's Chris menu to pick what we wanted. Like all other restaurants participating in summerlicious, they offered 3 different appetizers, main courses, and desserts for you to choose from. You can view Ruth's Chris' Summerlicious menu here. To start, D and I both ordered the salads. The Steak House Salad came with iceberg, baby arugula, baby lettuces, grape tomatoes, garlic croutons, and red onions with balsamic vinegar drizzled all over. The Caesar Salad was the classic salad, with fresh romaine hearts, romano cheese, creamy caesar dressing, shaved parmesan cheese and fresh ground black pepper. Paired with our meal, we decided to both get glasses of chianti.

There are three options for the main course: a filet, chicken, or their daily catch. But c'mon... you can't not have steak if you go to a steakhouse, am I right or am I right?! (I'm right.) We both decided to get the filet -- 6 oz of tender, corn-fed Midwestern beef was broiled in front of us to exactly how we wanted it. Ruth's Chris is known for coming to your table with a 500 degree hot plate with your steak on it. Melted butter is slathered all over the plate, and it just smelled heavenlyyyyy. Each main is served with a choice of mushrooms, spinach or mashed potatoes. We decided to get the mushrooms and the garlic mashed potatoes. Both sides were sooo good, especially when you put it on your hot plate with the butter. Check out that bubbly butter!! (I really wish you could smell the wonderfulness of the butter and steak.)

For dessert, Ruth's Chris offers you either their creamy homemade cheesecake served with fresh berries, a key lime pie, or their featured dessert. I was advised the the featured dessert was a chocolate espresso torte, which sounds amaaazing. Unfortunately, as I was here for a preview, the summerlicious desserts weren't available yet so we ordered from their regular dessert menu. We decided to go with the two most popular desserts: the Chocolate Duo and the Crème Brûlée. D loved the chocolate cake coupled with chocolate mousse splashed with a little sweet cream and topped with fresh berries, while I really enjoyed the crème brûlée - a classic Creole egg custard topped with fresh berries and mint.

Normally, I reserve meals at expensive steakhouses for a special occasion. However, we were able to score a great deal for Ruth’s Chris Steak House during their Gift Card promo which made a visit for regular date night, more reasonable. With over 140 Ruth’s Chris Steak Houses worldwide, mainly in the US, and 5 in Canada, their sizzling plates are well known. While service was lovely and the steaks were good, I wasn’t convinced they were as good as the price tags were high.

Delicious frites and steak!. It is an expensive restaurant, but totally worth it.
The frites that come with the steak are very thin and crispy.
The steak was really good and well cooked, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's that much different from the Keg's or other steakhouses downtown.

Beyond Excellent!. CLASSY JOINT!
It began with a very mature classy gentleman waiting on our table. Then an amazing Martini garnished with blue cheese stuffed olives!
Then, the most amazing, perfectly aged, well marbled rib steak came to my table!! It was served on a 500 degrees plate...absolutely mouth watering presentation!!

Best Steak. If you are looking for a steak this is the place to go. The quality is second to none and the service is always great.. Down side is parking is a pain and the price. This is a place thogh you get what you pay for

Steak is great, price is not.. I got the Ribeye which was delicious. Sizzling, buttery and tender with a lot of flavour. Be prepared to dish out about $60 just for the steak. You can get side orders and they are pretty big so you can ask for half.

In all 4 out of 5. Harbor Sixty is another great Steakhouse in the city.

This is a place for business expense accounts, and considering the downtown business core location you have to expect a hefty price tag. The combination of butter and top quality cuts of steak is always going to a win! You can cut your steak with a fork its so tender and definitely worth a try.

Mouth watering steak!. I really enjoyed my past 2 visits to Ruth's Chris. I ordered the filet, medium-rare and mashed potatoes and spinach au gratin as the sides. My bf had the NY and it was also delicious.

I think a lot of the complaints here are due to the individual orders. If you order a higher fat cut, then expect fat on it. In fact, the waiters usually tell you what to expect. If you can't handle it, get a lean filet. Any steak cooked medium to well done should not even be ordered here. Just to go a Keg or Montana's for that.

Better than the Edmonton location as they give you the choice of whether or not you want the butter on the steak. Prices seem more reasonable due to the spring combo, which gave a 3 course meal with a 16 oz ribeye for $60. Service was good, but I seemed to be last in line behind all the 'big business guys'. I think this was due to my age, which is disappointing. Great wine selection and with tasting allowed before you decide on a bottle.

Very relaxing place for dinner & wine. Though expensive it is made up by incredible service & great food. This was the best shrimp cocktail & lobster combination I have ever had. I don't eat meat and noticed for a steak house their are Many veg friendly options, this blows the keg out of the water.

Overall Good Experience. This is now my second time going to Ruth's Chris, and there is nothing bad I can say about tonights experience. From the moment we were seated until we got our bill, everything went well.
The break that was served to us was a french baguette. Perfectly warm and just the right amount of chewy/crusty on the outside.
For appetizers we had stuffed mushroom caps and lobster bisque. The caps didn't do anything to warrant a complement, but I did enjoy the lobster bisque. There was a certain sweetness to it which made it really enjoyable. An appetizer I had there my previous visit was carpaccio. It is a large slice of raw (or blue rare) beef with some sauce on top of it. It doesn't sound very good but I would recommend someone try it (especially if you are a meatitarian).
Our main dishes included a ribeye, a buffalo ribeye, and some steak fries (all pictured). I don't know where they are getting their potato from but it is huge. (Aside: For those that don't know, you each order a main steak, and then order a potato and/or vegetable to share a la carte).
A nice a crispy potato, it was a good complement to the steak.
As for the steak itself, the buffalo ribeye was really good. There was something different about it (a little more gamey taste to it?) but it was sizzling and delicious.
The service was also very fast and efficient. The waiter was polite, attentive, and checked back just the right amount of times to make sure we were ok. I'm not sure if this is protocol here, but the waiter actually addressed me as Mr. Peleshok. Who does this? This is a first for me and I was impressed he went the extra mile.
There was no room for desert because the steaks were quite large mixed in with the good bread and appetizers.
The only knock I have (and its obvious), is that each steak plate is between $45-$55. In my opinion no steak should cost that much, but I can understand why they charge what they do in terms of giving out the image of an upscale restaurant.

The service at Ruth's Chris Steak House was pretty accommodating and friendly. Our server was an older gentleman, and he was professional and efficient. He checked on us a few times throughout the duration of our meal, which was appreciated. Overall, I had an extremely pleasant dining experience and would definitely recommend this location for its food and service.

Contrary to some of the reviews I’ve read, the service at Ruth’s Chris was really courteous and not snobby at all. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the dining environment was very quiet, comfortable, and romantic. If you are looking for some melt-in-your-mouth, good quality big slab of steak, Ruth’s Chris is definitely worth a visit.

Ruth's Chris Steak House is a chain of steakhouses all across Canada, the US, and other international countries. I called three days ahead and booked a dinner reservation for 8:00 p.m. on a Saturday. Once you have entered the building; you have to take an elevator (one floor) up to the main restaurant.   The atmosphere inside the restaurant appeared to be a very relaxing one as the lights were dimmed and the music was gently playing in the background. The dining area was well decorated with modern pieces, and it was spacious. Our server arrived to the table, handed us the menus, and took our drink orders. The only one complaint was that the sides are not included with the steaks. However, this is pretty much the norm for many mid-to-higher end steakhouses in Toronto. We ordered the mashed potatoes ($9.95), shoestring french fries ($9.95) and asparagus ($9.95) as our appetizers. The appetizers were decently priced and affordable as the portions were incredibly large; it was more than enough for two. The menu at Ruth's Chris Steak House offers a good selection of steaks, veals/lambs, and seafood dishes. I opted for the torpedoes and shrimp combo ($48.95). My dish consisted of two medallions filet steak topped with "four pieces of jumbo shrimps dusted with Cajun spices" which was the descriptions provided on the restaurant's official website. The food came within a few minutes, and was delivered on a sizzling hot plate. I chose to have my steak cooked medium, which has always been my preferences. The steak was doused in butter which helped enhance the flavor of the meat. The four shrimps were of a good size and tasted fresh and nicely seasoned. The meal was good, and I was really full by the end of the night. My boyfriend ordered the t-bone steak ($62.95) and had it served medium-rare (pictured below). I had a few small bites of his steak, and it was really soft and succulent on the inside. The price of this particular cut of steak was pretty pricey, but the steak was of a good size. Had I ordered it; I don't think I would have finished it.  The service at Ruth's Chris Steak House was pretty accommodating and friendly. My family and I had a wonderful dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steak House during Summerlicious. We had never been before because we had heard that the prices are crazy, but I’m glad we finally went. The quality of the food was good, and the service was even better. I opted to go for the Fresh Corn Chowder as my appetizer. I loved the balance between sweet and savoury flavours in this soup, and it was very comforting to eat. I would get this again.

The showstopper, though, was the Chocolate Sin Cake. This rich and creamy dessert is more mousse than cake, and it’s delicious with coffee. I know this because I ate most of my brother’s portion while I drank my cappuccino. Luckily for me, he’s not really into desserts.
