From the moment we walked in, the ambience just picks you up and carries you off on an amazing culinary experience. It’s the combination of the cocktails, the food, the decor, the charm of the staff that make it so special. I only wish I could return very soon to try the rest of the menu. Every dish we tried was delightfully presented and delicious. Baby calamari in squid ink sauce & grilled octopus were 2 of our favourite dishes. Also one of the most flavourful Gin & Tonics I’ve ever tasted . We will definitely return next time we visit Toronto.
Excellent Spanish modern tapas, great location and beautiful decor. Keep it up!
Beautiful Space with a great
Beautiful Space with a great ambiance. You have to make a reservation otherwise you would have to wait a while to get seated. Thankfully, there’s lots to see at the Distillery District to help pass time while you wait. The menu is awesome and well thought out. The bone marrow beef tartare is incredible.
We were here for a weeknight dinner while the Christmas market was on. The place was packed and we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. We were seated at the bar and our host was polite and very helpful.
He helped us with our choices and also customised a montadito to make it vegetarian for me.
Apart from a couple of montaditos a chamomile soda, we had the manchego cheese cappuccino, the tortilla de patatas and crema catalana for dessert.
The cheese cappuccino was an interesting dessert-ish starter... who knew coffee and cheese made such a great combo!
The tortilla was nice and filling and the montaditos were all great too.
The crema catalana... was a modern take on the traditional spanish dessert, served with an almond tuile and lemon candy. It was good, but we were looking for the traditional dessert, so this didnt sit so well with us.
All in all good service, great taste, not the best value for money.
Worth a visit.
My husband and I popped in this spot while in the Distillery District to grab a drink. We sat at the bar, and had amazing service from our bartender! The sangria I ordered was HUGE and absolutely delicious. We also shared a meat plate and some toasted bread with tomato spread... out of this world. Wish we could’ve stayed to have dinner here, because the menu looked fantastic.
Such a wonderful experience. It was emptier on a Wednesday night, more intimate feeling. Our server was the most lovely person ever. I got the chef's tasting menu. All items were balanced, savory and tasty. Also got the wine tasting option as part of the overall meal which came with 4 glasses of different wines (so good) . Overall a wonderful experience, it ended up being a tad pricy but I felt it was well worth it given all I felt from the food and drinks. 10/10 would recommend over and over again
Been to a couple of Spanish tapas places in Toronto. Atmosphere and service was good. The food was pretty good, but a bit pricey. Most of the tasting menu dishes were good. Recommend the croquetas and grilled octopus. Paella was a bit underwhelming, and if the tasting menu was maybe around $60 instead of $70, would have given 5 stars. Overall, nice place for tapas in the distillery district, and patio is nice in the summer.
This place has good vibes and beautiful interiors. They have a big patio as well but it can get filled up fast so it's better to reserve a table before you go. This place is closer to the parking lot so it's convenient to walk to this restaurant. Mango Sangria - it's a big drink and yummy. Food is amazing and the service is great as well. Very friendly people.
Wow what a great time! This restaurant has an incredible sherry list if you’re interested and a great place to take friends for drinks and appetizers (tapas) excellent selection of premium hams. Our server was very attentive despite being very busy and the actually restaurant it’s self was very beautiful and cozy without feeling stuffy.
We went to Madrina after we saw a section on CT promoting their Spanish beer.
The decor and setup are industrial rustic that reflect the fact this building was serving true firm.
The service was very good you can see how they hustle.
The food was excellent i would recommend the croquet and the egg plan and zoukini ships as well as the tartar on a bone they are excellent. The crispy bread with tomato and charcuterie are also good. Let us nit forget the paella.
The raspberry and 🧀 cheese cake are an excellent dessert salty cheese with sweet raspberry.
My only negative would but the very small potions of couple of dishes.
I highly recommend this restaurant
Found this gem by chance while looking for something to eat in the area. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try the Chef's Tasting menu (I was dining alone and it's meant for parties of 2 or more), but everything that the server recommended was divine. I think the prices are reasonable given the restaurant's location and creativity of the dishes. Compliments to the Chef and thank you Nicole!
