Review Ancient Cedars Cafe - Tobermory

The best food I had in Tobermory! It’s a family owned restaurant and I loved every bit of it! The feel, the flavour, the service, the ambiance, and the history! This restaurant speaks about a history - dates back to 2004, Jan. If you visit this place, you need to know this history, when Canadians play golf in Jan! The food is inspired by authentic taste from where it got originated... be it Falafal, coconut curry or amazing burger! We had veggie burger - best in Canada, and I am not exaggerating. I visited this place for both lunch and dinner and have tried almost all veg options - everything tastes awesome! I am in love with this place, the service, and the ambiance. Highly recommended! I will visit again!

So happy we decided to try this place out. The service was so friendly fast and accommodating. Outdoor seating was beautiful, right on the golf course. And oh the food!!! So unique and delicious. Never have I ever had a better vegan burger. I wish I lived closer so I could have it again. Tasting plate was amazing. Pretty sure the tzaziki and humus were homemade. Sweet potato fritters so yummy

Sorry guys for taking away 2 stars. The burger here was not up to my expectation. A man from info center said many nice things about this restaurant so I may have set the bar too high. I mean this is not a bad burger. It is just not that special. I felt the patty is a little small somehow (I maybe wrong). Ah another thing: info center provide their menu with old price. Most updated ones are about $2 up. This burger costs 16 something.

I enjoyed the view, but the food was just edible our burgers were dry. The buns were stale. The server at the table next to us did a great job but our server was terrible.

Nice, clean venue. Staff is great. Prices are too much for what it is. Onion rings were very oily and fatty, veggie burger a big miss- dry and tasteless. Tofu in noodle soup nicely grilled but besides that it was a big miss either. Nice local beer selection. Bottomline- would not recommend and wouldn't come back.

We didn't try the food but the coffee was good! Half of the menu items were vegan and the other half of local meats 👍 at reasonable prices. The waitress was pretty cool and her service was good. They served a few company of craft beer in cans. I would go to this place again forsure!

Tons and tons of vegan options. Including dessert. Lovely, welcoming staff (even tho we arrived minutes before close). Pretty, cozy space to boot!

The whole experience was absolutely amazing. The food is all fresh, farm to table, and you can tell. Tons of options for everyone; vegan, gluten free, meat lover, they have something tasty for you. Vegan poutine was amazing and so was the seven wonders veggie burger! Not only was the food great, the service was too! Quick and friendly! Overall, would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!
