Scribbles Cafe - Thunder Bay - Photo album

This was a main reason for our trip to Canada and it was well worth it! The visitor center staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the fort staff were informative and entertaining. The fort itself was great. We were a little disappointed that a handful of the buildings were closed or off limi
I'm so happy that this is still available for families to attend! It was entertaining and educational, and we got a lot of steps in! Quite easily the best Canada Day that we have had as a family- and it wasn't expensive. Before I go into details, I want to mention that this is THE PERFECT place to
This place was awesome. We were there on a Saturday in July and it was not busy at all. All the staff were in character and we're very knowledgeable and played the part well. The facility was very well kept. Price was reasonable at about 50$for 2 adults and one child. Took us about 3 hours. And
It was a great pleasure to be part of the 50 years celebration. We did enjoyed a lot by seeing all the historical activities over the very ancient period. The front entrance that was showing on the Google map was not the actual one now. They changed it and made it through the main road earlier than
Beautifully done and very good tour guide - was disappointed that there weren't any postcards available at all, though. The camping was very good for the price, and it will be excellent when the trees grow up! No idea what event was on during June 28, but many of the trucks leaving stopped halfway o
As always, I loved my time travel to 1815. As a former volunteer, I might be biased, but I think this is the best stop if you are visiting Thunder Bay. It's one of the best fur trade Era living history sites I know of.
I have been here twice now with my kids and wife. The first time was on Canada day last year, which was a lot of fun and had loads of extra activities and "cast members" if you will, and second time I went was also with my mother and sister who came up to visit us. So far this has been their favor
Great experience and a very beautiful recreated fort!!! Will definetly go back BUT BRING BUG SPRAY.... The mosquito situation was very similar to the indigenous people outside the fort.... IN TENTS (intense) can't wait to come back up here though!!! And yes they were actually in Wigwams...
VERY cool place. I expected just a guided tour, but it was better! You walk through the fort stopping by each building and people are in period talking to you like you're in period too! Very fun and learned a lot. Warning: Lots of biting bugs so bring bug spray!
Loved talking to the staff in character. They seemed very knowledgeable and they don't break the character. They have a great little cantina that had the best haddock and chips at a reasonable price for a tourist attraction. Will definitely like to return
