Review Me-va-me - Thornhill

I've been here times before. Usually love the service but not so much this time. The food was delicious as always. However, the customer service needs to improve. We had asked our server multiple times to refill our water, but she chose to serve others before attending to us. This happened several times during our visit with other requests. Cleanliness was good. Recommend the food, not the dine-in.

Me Va Me is a great place for lunch or dinner. Prices for their lunch specials are good (~$10) and the portions are huge! If you don't get the lunch specials, your meal might get a bit pricey for lunch (Think $16+tax/tip), but you do get a lot for what you paid for. I usually get the 2 chicken skewers with rice, and it comes with a decent sized salad, and I would have a whole skewer left with rice for another meal. Decor-wise, I think they could definitely use some renos. Service can be hit or miss here. Overall, Me Va Me is an OK place.

If you like Mediterranean food this is the place you should go! All food prepared by excellent recipes. Great and Delicious. Nice and clean place! Highly recommend! Will definitely come back;)

I was in the area and came because of the decent reviews, but left a little disappointed. The prices are high for the portion sizes and taste (e.g., a plate of hummus is $10), but the service is relatively good. The chicken shawarma and falafels were fairly bland and didn’t come with the usual set of sauces. The restaurant, however, does provide some “complimentary” pita and pickles.

Tasty Mediterranean 🥘 food, portion for some plates were generous. Not so much vegetarian options but the Hummus is crazy good which comes with a kind of Matza Pita bread. I tried the Salmon Kebab and it was good, meat eater should try their schnitzels and kafta as they are superb. Also Tried their Mint Lemonade, not so great. Inside he place looks modern. Service was good and efficient,waitress was helpful. Overall prices were ok. Bathrooms were clean. Available parking.

Dear Word, that was great! I visited here with high hopes with my father. We were immediately taken and seated at a clean and fresh table and served by a kind waitress. Several minutes later, we were asked for our order and brought a nice palate cleanser. We ordered a regular house salad I presume, Chicken Souvlaki and Rice, and the Famous Pita and Hummus dip. Salad was very creamy with a familiar taste. Pita was light, airy, and given a heavenlike touch with the delicious hummus. Our Chicken Souvlaki was rather large, and we split it for a good meal. Chicken was very good quality. 38$ Total, very well worth it. Left with a smile, and a full stomach. Will come again!!

The food was okay, nothing to wrote home about - it was quite bland but the ingredients are good quality and fresh, service was quite slow, average value. Their fresh laffa is quite good though!

I had a terrible experience in this restaurant today.  I feel so awful that I do not think I will ever go there again.  I came there with my two kids for a get-together lunch. We barely see each other due to our busy schedules.  As such I looked forward  to this meeting.  We arrived at 2:30 pm.  The restaurant was half empty.  However, when I asked to be seated in one of their booths, I was rejected.  No, they did not have any reservations for those booths.  The reason why they could not put us there? Simply because we were just 3 people in our group which their manager/waitress claimed not enough to occupy a 6 seat booth. The place was half empty! I explained to the waitress/manager that I really wanted to have a booth and that this meeting was important to me, but it did matter with this waitress/manager!. You can stay or go she said. To her it did not matter. Such a cavalier attitude!t What a terrible experience. In fact something like this has never happened to me. Ever! To my surprise, I saw two other groups of three occupying those boots later on during our lunch.  I found it extremely disturbing.  This was done in front of my two children. It was so embarrassing. Really not a place for a relaxing get-together.

I've been here several times and each time i have ordered different items on the menu. The service, the ambiance and the food is fresh and flavorful. I have never encountered anything wrong with the food nor quality of the food , it is always excellent. I'm more than happy to bring family and friends here often! The staff are efficient, professional and i've seen them very patient with the elderly there as well. There is a mix of different cultures and ages that eat at this  delicious fresh place!

We had a very pleasant time with this location. Our entourage was pretty big with about 10 people for our group. In a dinner rush hour, our waitress and servers were still patient with us taking in our orders and still suggesting the specials on the go. It was fast when they served the bread (laffa)and salad to tide us over before the entrées came. The portion was huge and lots of bread. We had the assorted dip with baba ganoush, tabouli, and two kinds of hummus. Good flavour with the dips to accentuate the laffa and salad. This was almost filled us up even before the entrées came. We had the kebabs (chicken and beef), chicken schnitzel and chicken shawarma on a plate. The reason why the review is not perfect is because they've already ran out of chicken shawarma that day. It might even be a good thing when they only make a certain amount to stay fresh all the time. The portions of the entrées are also big. The flavours are just right with the right seasoning and the meat tender and cooked just right. <br/>We didn't even bother if they had a dessert menu because we were already filled up. This was a good dining experience for us and would recommend it when you have cravings for Mediterranean cuisine.

Love me va me. The food is absolutely delicious and great flavour in all their dishes and fresh dips. <br/><br/>Had several bad encounters with the service though and had some sanitary issues such as hair in the food. That is reasoning for my lower rating. <br/>

I am a huge fan of their food and for good reason, it is delicious! But their service can be quite disappointing at times. Now I just try to stick to the express locations.

No it going there any more. Been going there for 10 years. Pita shawarma was all I ever ever went for. Nothing else. Disappointed to see pice went up, and sandwich side reduced to half the size. Very disappointed.

I went for dinner with my family here tonight. They have excellent service, amazing food and generous portions. Make sure to make a reservation so you don't wait too long for a table. We tried the dip trio (we chose the tabuli, baba Ganush and hummus), the seafood delight, grill delight, and latkaes. Everything was cooked to perfection!

Loved this place from day one. They have a great menu with many tasty options to choose from. My favourite is the flat bread and baba ganoush. Check them out you won't be disappointed.

Tried them for the first time a few days ago a nd went back again last night - having leftovers tonight - was amaze balls! If you have the shnitzel DO squeeze the lemon on it. Something magical happens taste wise! Everything is so fresh and tastes so clean!

I love the healthy middle eastern food options at this dependable spot. Food is always good even when the restaurant is super busy. <br/><br/>I love the Hummous with mushroom appetizer the chicken skewer dinner and if you are looking for a sinful dinner the chicken schnitzel is ginormous!

I have been coming here for several years. The mashed potatoes used to be so delicious. The last time I ordered them they weren't as good but there are plenty of other things on the menu to try. The appetizers are particularly good (delicious pita bread) and the portions make good value for the money. Servers are young and sometimes inattentive, but they are not rude - maybe just busy? Overall, not as good as it was in the past but still a place I visit from time to time.

My advice is to order the dips - baba ganoush and hummus for appetizers.  They are famous for their dips.  Me-Va-Me also serve respectable fresh salads as sides for entree.  My chicken schwarma pita itself is decent, though nothing special.  Personally, I actually like the schwarma from their express branch - me-va-me express - which is about a 5 mins drive east of the restaurant, on Steeles.

Although i have enjoyed the food at this restaurant i will never go back again.<br/><br/>I called twice on two different occasions to make a reservation. First time for party of 10 and second for party of 5 and both times i was informed that they will only take my reservation<br/><br/>If each person spends a minimum of $25.00<br/><br/>What BS! An extortion fee to get a reservation.<br/><br/>They lost me as a customer and i hope others will drop this place too. There are many other middle eastern restaurants in this city that are just as good if not better. Me va me shame on you!

Went here with the family and sat outside on their large patio. Their baba ganoush was delicious as usual with the warm bread. Tried the chicken breast skewer which was moist and delicious. And their dessert cheesecakes and coffee (macchiato) were fantastic. A really nice, family friendly restaurant with good food.

Just came home and I will NEVER EVER return there. The platinum blonde big mouth arrogant, RUDE and condescending Russian MORON IDIOT of a so called manager BLEW IT TONIGHT BIGTIME !!!  We were told by another lady (bartender) that our wait would be around 20 minutes. We waited more then 45 minutes as others arrived. When I approached this loud toilet mouth Russian idiot manager and asked how much longer she exploded on me and witnesses said to me just how rude she was and stupid as to how she handled my inquiry. I am so mad and I am a CHEF myself and I will NEVER EVER step foot in that crappy restaurant again. Send her back to Putin !!!

From a group of regular customers... food is good; service seemed to be declining.... We have been visiting this location because we like the food. Used to come almost every week but the last 2 dinners we have had, not so good. Food is a little inconsistent lately but service had declined a lot. Tonigth's was rather outrageous. Our server asked for our order twice and 15 minutes after and a cold naan later, part of the order arrived. We asked for a new naan as the bread is already cold, but server came back with the same naan slammed on our table... well then... to make it worst we were asked if we are sure only one dish is being ordered??? Well we ordered some dips and ordered chicken on the side and they seemed to be so shocked about it. We felt as if they were ridiculing or making fun of us... i was gonna walk out if it were not for my sister. My visit here will be less often and I'd stir away from the short lady's service table.

Delicious Food but Did not have few of the Dishes. We visited this restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday. My husband and I tried ordering few items and the server kept responding, "Sorry we are out of lamp, chicken sharwarma etc." We ended up ordering Beef Kabob which tasted delicious. But was disappointed that they were out of so many items on a weekend.

Bad food and presentation now on top of lack of service. They really need to wisen up and offer service and better food. really bad tempered. Go to Paramount on Yonge instead

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have to say that the quality of food in this restaurant is amazing and that is undeniable. However, not only the customer service is poor, but also they overcharge. I ordered two boxes one with beef and the falafel and we asked if we can get laffa bread the girl said she will try to substitute. She asked how many falafel pieces I said 12. Eventually when I arrived there I saw that on the bill she charged for 12 pieces. When I got home there were 6 pieces of falafel instead of 12, bread was not substituted and a salad was missing a dressing. Like, seriously? It was ridiculous I doubt that I am coming back and if I am I will check everything right on the spot next time!<br/>BAD SERVICE.

Me Va Me Is Arabic for.... You guessed it; snarly service. The old maid looked angry and was non-responsive.<br/>It is a take-out dump but if you insist they let you sit near their dirty toilet. Another fast food clerk who hates her job and the world

Gone downhill. Very disappointed my last visit there, I have been a customer at the Me Va Me express and restaurant for many years and will probably not be going back after my last visit. The portions are smaller now and more expensive, I always order the 4 salad platter which includes babganoosh, humus, eggplant and mushrooms to take home with me, I noticed the tray became smaller (even though i was paying 17$) Crazy price! and i ordered lamb skewers and chicken skewer dinner like usually, and usually it fills my entire family and there are most of time left overs for the next day but this time the pieces were small and dry and there was barley any, the lamb also smelled really bad. I really wish they stayed the way they were years ago. Very unfortunate. I drive all the way from mississuaga to the north york location, well used too at least.

Pale pale imitation of the original. I had a bad experience but I suspect I am not alone. Salads were spooned quickly but my side order was lost. When I pestered one of the front staff after waiting 10 minutes (for a 2 minute grill item) the grill guy practically threw my order at her, no explanation. No visible prices, which is amazing for a fast food place, there is a printed menu the approximate size and weight of a parking ticket. Food much more bland than the original family-owned business. The best way to describe the staff is "clearly other, much more important, things on their mind, like world peace or nuclear disarmament." Not going back.

Chinsy. They are adamant about charging extra for even Minor substitutions, such as sauce,<br/><br/>No respect for customer relations

Delicious. I went to heaven when I had this shwarma for lunch the other day. The flavours were unlike anything I've ever tried before! <br/>Dining inside is awkward though, I would definitely recommend taking it out but don't wait too long, it's so tasty when warm! <br/>Service seemed fine for an express type place.. distracted employees talking amongst themselves. That being said I will be going back soon!

DISORGANIZED. Let's start off with the good... the food continues to be prepared fresh and homemade like everyday. So you don't get those pre-cooked chicken crap like you do at subway and all the dips are prepared the same day, no preservatives and other crap. Overall very healthy and well made food. <br/>Now the bad... the are constantly understaffed, there are always like 2 people doing cash, phone calls, making sandwiches and packing all at the same time. The service is really slow because of that. When you call for a delivery be prepared to wait 2 hours. They never have enough drivers. When I pick up food, it's sitting at the window for a good while because they have so few people there. Here's an idea, why not hire an extra person or and designate specific jobs...

Wow, most ridiculous conversation with the person who answered the phone. I ordered a chicken pita, toppings on the side and his response was "we don't do that" when I asked him why, knowing that they are fully capable of doing so since they need to build the sandwhich before they package it, he replies "ask the owner, this is a very strict rule." <br/>Amazing how he could think I'm so stupid to believe they have a "very strict rule" about some tomatoes and onions on the side of a sandwhich. <br/>Great representatives of your company me va me!

Tasty food with quality ingredients...price is kind of steep. Definitely a place i continue to go back to, when i'm in the mood.

About..... Me Va Me Express is not a restaurant, it's just an express kitchen where you also can order and eat your shavarma, dinner, whatever you like..... nearby the toilet. What a nice place!? <br/>By the way, the food became worse when the owner and staff have changed.

Me Va Me - Very Slow. I will never understand why at a restaurant that calls it's self "Express" you need to wait for 10-15 minutes for Shawarma in a pita.<br/>Only because the food in great I keep subjecting myself to the torture every once in a while.<br/>if your fuse is short or your sugar is low, go somewhere else.

Terrific dinner when you don't want to cook!. I love to order from here on those lazy days. We tend to get the chicken breast shish-kebab dinner with some fries and some rice, and an order of hummus on the side. The dinner comes with the chicken, lots of salad, the potato/rice, and some tahini and hot sauce. <br/><br/>It is tasty comfort food and has the bonus of leftovers due to the ample portion size. It is not cheap, but the quality and quantity make it worthwhile. This is a frequent take-out/delivery order for us.

Me Va Me Awesome!!!. My husband and I decided to stop by Me Va Me (Steeles & Bathurst) for dinner after a long day at work. We eat out 80% of the time and like going to new places. We have never been to any Me Va Me before and this place has by far surpassed our expectations. It was very busy but we were seated right away. The menu had plenty of selections to choose from for any taste or mood; reasonably priced and with complimentary extras like pickles, pickled peppers and pita bread. The food was served very soon after we ordered. We ordered lamb and chicken skewers that came with plenty of side choices. We asked for mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. Those were great, nice and flavorful grilled meat and very tasty side dishes. Their house salad was So good!- great presentation and fresh and delicious house dressing! I have absolutely nothing negative to say. What made this experience even more memorable was our server who was very friendly and welcoming, and made sure we are happy with the food and have everything we need. When I mentioned to him how much we enjoyed the food and it is our first time at the restaurant he could have just said thank you and walked away, but he came back saying that in appreciation for the kind words and to thank us for the visit they are offering us complimentary tea/ coffee and a slice of cake. The chocolate cheesecake was so fresh and delicious, and the mint tea with fresh mint leaves (recommended by one of the servers) was perfect! This experience made my week and it was a wonderful Friday dinner! We will be back, Thank you Me Va Me! :)

Awful service!!!!. Worst me va me location! Rude hostess and bartender/hostess!<br/>Walked in with a friend and requested a booth for 2. We put our name down and waited patiently for 10 min. A crowd of people walked in and the hostess sat an older couple at a booth knowing that we were there first!!! I was pissed! I told her we were waiting and we put our name down, that was supposed to be our table! She attempted to seat us at a half booth and at that point I was so appalled with the service! We walked out and I am never going there again!! <br/>no customer service experience!! <br/>Very rude people! Learn how to communicate with your co-workers!

Bad service and food. Service was careless and almost insulting like they are doing US a FAVOUR! The food is another story. The beef was over cooked and there wasn't much sauce drowning the taste. I did finish it because I was hungry. Next the fries: soggy, chalky and swimming in oil comes to mind. The bread Was okay...

Reception lady is sucks. We went to there Friday evenings. many people were waits already. <br/><br/>Reception lady show up later and she started list peoples name.<br/><br/>She didn't ask whos next or who comes first. Someone came after us. but they call name first.<br/><br/>So we told her we came first. she didn't say sorry. she said whoever call or name list first.<br/><br/>We just left. <br/><br/>not a good customer service.

Lemonade is like a magnet for me!!!. I have enjoyed everything I have eaten at Me Va me. The whole bass is a good size portion and having the option of baked or fried is great. The baba ganoush is marvellous. The freshly bake pita bread served hot from the oven is amazing. I could eat baba ganoush and this bread with the lemonade and be satisfied. Customer service often depends on the personality of wait staff. There are good and bad doctors and lawyers. Perhaps this also applies to servers and the customers they meet.<br/><br/>I have read the other reviews on this site. They must have gone to another location. The place is always full. I guess the many people that go there enjoy the food better than reviewing it. <br/><br/>Cheers

Yummy. Went with a party of 5. Had the baba ganoush (not bad, but a tad too much mayo), the chicken shawarma hummus (hummus was absolutely amazing. super creamy texture, but not creamy as in left a taste of mayo or oil in my mouth, shawarma was flavorful), the fried calamari (tasted good, tender calamari, wish there was more for the price though), the lamb kefta (flavorful, lots of lamb taste), the mixed grill (all meats grilled perfectly tender and delicious. good quality meats. asked for medium rare. got medium rare). side salad that accompanies the meals is really big. also really tasty. the bread (laffa?) accompanying the dips was fresh (made in house), hot, and refillable. <br/><br/>Service was a tad slow, but servers really polite and really attentive.

This place is arrogent, manu is confusing and food is taste less and dry. Order food from the website, upon arriving to pick up was informed that what I ordered from the web site is not the prices at this location, it is only for the downtown. Paid twice the amount for the food ordered. When told her about our displeasure at not indicating on the web that the costs are different at this location, she just ignored it. <br/>Food, falafal in pita was dry, had really no taste and the pita bread was tough and fell apart. Chicken was dry and oily. For the price they charge for this terrible food, you are better off driving 5 minutes to Young and do to Mr.Greek.

Liked it. Visited the location at Bathurst and Rutherford. We were there as a group eight... including a child who does not like to eat. She loves it there and they go often. We had a long wait, no reservations.... the food was good and staff was attentive and patient with the two kids. Servings were generous... I only had a salad (no carbs allowed diet and already had dinner) , I did sample and liked everything, including the amazing flat bread.

Not a pleasant experience, food was average, not sure what all the fuss is about. We had a young lady serving us, seemed like she was having a bad day and we were unfortunately in the middle of it. Very rude and condescending attitude, sloppy service and did care much about what we wanted, threw the food on the table. I had to ask for a glass of wine and then was made to feel foolish for not knowing what wine I wanted. Heard great things about this place from others, will not go back again for sure. Average place at best, would rather go to Sababa Restaurant on Steeles or Paramount on Yonge, North of Steeles. Enjoy.

This restaurant is TERRIBLE !!!!!!!! I've been there 2 times once I ordered there "famous" shawarma which was dry and salty . Then the second time I went I ordered there lamb skewer which was horrible it was like I was eating rubber !!! I don't know why everyone loves this restaurant !!!!! The service was (ok) but nothing else was on an ok level everything was far below !!!!!!!!!

I suggest not going there, if you're looking for good service.. I had gone into Me Va Me 05/31/14, I don't believe Me Va Me will survive as a growing restaurant. Their service was horrible. I've been there a number of times. I obviously don't go for the service but for the food. Today I was extremely disappointed while ordering take-out. The young lady taking my order had a disgusting attitude and I'm afraid I'll never go back to this location ever again. If I could describe her, she was brunette with greasy hair (which was an uncomfortable thought given that she deals with food). I believe as a restaurant that is looking to expand they should look into training and better staff. I'm not the first to complain but I have never been so disappointed.

Bone in my chicken sandwich where none is supposed to be. Brought it to the attention of the manager who looked up, looked down as I was speaking and then looked up and said something like aha and walked away to the take-out section<br/>He could not care any less<br/>terrible

There has not been a reason to come here for years. In previous years (like 5-10 years ago) the food was flavourless and the service was impolite and rude (they are low class I guess) but they served a lot. So you used to tolerate the snarly old maidens for good portions. Now the portion has dwindled, prices are higher and the service still is snarky.<br/>I remembered why I do not come here anymore.<br/>It was good value (if not delicious once) but now there is no reason to tolerate the attitude. They can do each other a favour now because they won't be doing us any favours any more ever.

Do NOT order the chicken. The chicken at mevame was dry, unmarinated and TOUGH. Service is not good and the restaurant could use a makeover. Try Paramount on Yonge Street<br/>Avoid

That is the worst Arabic Food. It was terrible. Definately old stuff reheated and served. Should have read urbanspoon before walking in<br/>Maybe in the suburbs but in the city they would shut this down

Don't even bother to get take out here. We ordered a dozen falafels, they were tough & very dry! I felt like they re-heated from leftover. We also ordered a large chicken sharwarma. <br/>All came with two little soy sauce containers tahani, they were so cheap!! <br/>McD is a better takeout choice & smile for free :)

Never. The food tastes so good but when I want to get it delivered it costs me over 50 for two meals because there is a 6 dollar charge for "out of delievery zone" (I'm 10 min away) and I have to order a minimum of $40 to have it delivered. That is BS

Gone downhill. This place has really gone downhill since a few years ago. Firstly, the menus are falling apart (I'm sure they can invest in some new menus). Secondly, the staff look completely miserable, I waited over an hour to ask for a glass of water. The food has also gone downhill, the babaganoush was the worst I have ever had and the laffa bread was burnt. <br/><br/>Very disappointed and I will not be returning, at least not to this location.

Russ Kelly. I am so confused with the recent reviews regarding ME VA ME 7000 Bathurst Ave!! My Manager and I had lunch there a couple months ago and found the service, food and ambience impeccable!! The food servings was way too much as we both took home doggie bags! The staff couldnt be any nicer if they tried? I feel sometimes people expect too much from wait staff and tend to always find fault in this particutar service industry! Bottom line, I will be dining at ME VA ME again!

Call it anything but not mediterranean. I went for lunch today and ordered chicken shawarma on hummus and trio salad.<br/>The shawarma smelled awful. Baba ghanoush taste good but not authentic and light. Tabbouleh was okay missing some ingredients and seasoning. The Turkish salad was so salty. I ate mediterranean food all my life and this is not a good presentation of tasty mediterranean food. I had chicken shawarma yesterday in Ottawa from a small shop and was much better tasting and authentic than this one. By the way the service was excellent.

Love this restaurant... Trio app platter is awesome (baba ganoush, hummus, mushrooms....) , pita bread , chicken skewers, shwarma, salads.... All very yummy and decently priced. The deserts are nothing special if you are not into cheesecake... Food gets served really quickly.... I went last night (saturday) - busy, but only waited for 3 minutes for a table for 3... Totally ok...

Used to be food was a lot and service was bad, now food is bad and service still sucks. AWEFUL!!!!! The worst customer service ever!!!!!!. We encountered a problem ---believe it---my husbands shoe bottom crumbled due to some chemical on the floor----and then followed rudeness like I have never encountered---manager phones up the owner---I speak to him explaining the situation and he saids, Here is what I want you to do "Get up, walk out ---and never come back to my restaurant again, GET OUT!!!!!!! This is customer service!!! Needless to say, we paid and never ever will return!!!

Lets see whats up there. So tonight my girlfriends is taking me to that restaurant for a girls night out. We live downtown Toronto (King/Bathurst). She said it is a cool restaurant. Well, while getting ready I was reading the reviews and my emotion went down immediately- most of them are very bad. Anyway, since she is on her way I guess we will go there and experience on our own skin and stomachs<br/>M.

Bad customer service. While being served our food, I was told that I was not meeting the RESERVATION CHARGE of $25(at the Rutherford location) per person. I have been at the same location several times and the charge for reserving a table was $20 and has never enforced. It was very embarrassing situation considering I had guests with me. My guests were disgusted by the whole situation and swore they would never return to this chain of restaurants. I always liked the food at me.va.me but after this incident I would never go back. There are a lot of other middle eastern restaurants who don't charge you extra for making a reservation. The manager at the Rutherford location needs to learn customer service. By being rude to customer, she cannot have happy and returning customers.

LOVE IT !!!!. The Best Restaurant in this area!!! I always go there with my friends and family,food is delicious(especially dips with amazing lafa bread),service is really fast,all servers are beautiful and always smiling,(never met rude servers in that place) My favorite meal there is Chicken shnitzel,actually its really huge but sooo tasty!!! I dont know,but iam in LOVE with this place!!!!

Dinner - very bad service and management. Our visit today at the restaurant was not pleasant one. We sat down and ordered drinks with lime...waitress came back with drinks and said they have no lime...NP. Then we ordered appetizers ...tried to order few dips and she indicates that they ran out of Quinoa Salad dip ...ok two items...proceeded to order dinner ...my kids birthday and she orders chicken Shawarma ...guess what no chicken thus no Shawarma...this got very frustrating. Called the manager had a good conversation with her and as she tries to explain why they don’t have these items ...she goes “...we are discontinuing few items from the menu and thus menus have not been updated ...” – what are they discontinuing ....limes, Shawarma??? Then she goes- “...we have chicken but is it is dried and only available for take-out and she does not want to serve it in the restaurant...”. Ok...so she is serving dried chicken to the individuals that cannot taste the food until they get home...wow what a manager and what a restaurant. There is a Longos in the same plaza two minutes from the restaurant ...go pick up lime or whatever the restaurant needs... At the end nothing we paid for all items we ordered and was not compensated for anything ...not even a soft drink...I was very disappointed today and will think twice before going to the place or recommending it....food was just ok...not what it used to be when it initially opened and the number of times we have gone after.

HUH? What the ........ This place is over rated like crazy. The food was horrible, the service seems like it's run by 5th. graders and the rice THE RICE!!!!!!!! was raw. How do you screw up rice and then the salt!!! OI VAI!!!!!!<br/><br/>AVOID!!!

Boycott Me-Va-Me at Bathurst and Steeles!. My friend wanted to take me out for dinner. Since we were at that plaza, we decided to go to Me-Va-Me. As we entered, I have noticed that it was packed, beside four tables for 6 (which could suit 24 people in total). I also noticed at least three waiters available, who were laughing and having a nice small talk between them while people are waiting to be seated. We stood for about 10 minutes before somebody noticed us and a teen blond waitress asked me how many people are we. Two, I replied.She said then that THERE ARE NO TABLES AVAILABLE FOR TWO and that we will have to wait until other customers will finish their meal. I asked her what about those four big tables? I was really surprized and very mad when she replied: we reserve those for bigger companies, when a company of 6 will arrive. I asked her if there were actually reservations and she said: no, it is reserved JUST IN CASE a bigger company will arrive. I then told her: we are potential customers, your business make money now, in real moment and you reserve tables for who? Does it make sence to you not to let people sit just in case somebody will come or not come? I am a customer there for more than ten years - I know this restaurant since they were at Rondo's plaza, I think I don't deserve this kind of service! Since they became more and more successful, their service and food went worse and worse. The blond started arguing with me and I said: with this attitude you will lose many many clients, like you lost me right now. She was like: oh, I will ask my manager....Excuse me??? For my money that I am paying I don't need to feel that they are doing me a favour.. My mood was ruined for the rest of the evening! I will never ever go there again! Have you ever been to a different restaurant?. Then go back and don't bother here. I can only think the glowing reviews are from people who live in the neighbourhood and have no other choices. Sorry but there are plenty of other Mediterranean places with better service, better attitude ( some attitude can be fun but this is just an assembly line except at a chain like the Keg or even Swiss Chalet they train their staff) nothing remotely memorable about the food. What's memorable for me is why did I drive all the way there? Never again. Made my family cancel their reservation last time and went to Asian Legend on Dundas instead, better food, better value, more fun and believe it or not better service!

Horrible Customer Service. Hi I called to order delivery from Me Va Me bethurst and 16 it was the third time in a row this week the lady that answered the phone was very rude and my food never showed up I waited for an hour the day before I called at 9:35P.m she answered the phone and as soon as she took my number and before I oredered informed me angrily and the last order was at 9 P.m and we cant keep the driver running and shut the phone in my face today feb 29 2012 I called again mind you I called three times this week for delivery took my number and didnt give me a total and I donnu why she informed me when I called back an hour later asking where my food was that i said pick up how when yesterday you know off the bat it was delivery and this week I ordered delivery three times I never said pick up left me on the phone for 4 minutes horrible customer service

I went there on end of janaury. i saw there new tecnic they makes naan (bread) lives in front of your eyes thats very cool to see the guy while he making bread very fast and making sound with hand (claping) my family really loves thats one.<br/>but i dont see thats guy anymore there maybe the owner of resturant didn"t pay whatever he asked.i ask waiters whats his name who makes the bread then she rudly ans. me his name is sunny.

Me-va-Me? Not-so-Sure!. I've been to this location and number of times over the years and it hasn't been bad. The food portions are decently-sized,and for the most part again tasty. Everyone gets a large fresh salad to start with and the main course follows right after. Saturday evenings may not be the best time to go as the place is very busy; however, that's what I decided to go! There was a very small line-up, maybe two or three people (I have seen it much longer). The time was around 7:30 PM. I was by myself. People were getting in before me or arrived after me, because being by myself they didn't want to give me a table that would accommodate more than one or perhaps two people. This went on for about 10 minutes, so I finally did what many others might do… I left. The hostess at the front was very apologetic and friendly, but that did nothing to make me realize I wasn't as important as larger groups. In one part I do understand about the seating arrangements and their need to fill up the room; but on the other hand, 10 minutes waiting while others getting in ahead of me isn't exactly right either. Will I go back? Probably… but never of course when it's busy... and not if I find something else first.

Why do good companies fail? Simple charge for things that should come with your meal. Be inflexible when a client order. When you spend $18.99 on 2 skewers of lamb and they want to charge you an additional $1.99. Cash grab cheapness is all I can say. Better restaurants exist. Find them.

Have been twice and the food and service were excellent. The Spanish Rose wine went very well with the Hummus appetizer. For a main we had the Lamb chops with Isreali salad and Basmatti rice and the seafood couscous salad. Everything was wonderful my only complaint was the Salmon in the salad was over cooked. Will come back again for sure. Chris
