Review Java Joe's - Thornhill

I always stop here when I’m waiting for my mechanic to work on my car. I really like this place. The staff is friendly. They’re always checking the facility making sure it’s clean and people have everything they need. The drinks are always good and they have many pastries and sandwiches to choose from. Lots of seating choices and a great location with quite a bit of parking spots. Easy to recommend this business to anyone.

I come here occasionally for a cup of joe (pun intended) and I'm always impressed with the quality. I've tried both their filtered and espresso based options and they don't disappoint. It's a bonus that I live within walking distance and can pop out for a quick fix.

I have gone here for a number of years. During COVID I began to use only my credit card. I noticed prices went up but figured everything had gone up. I was a bit surprised by the cost of a simple coffee but thought it has been hard years… Then when I had my order ready and I went to pay with my credit card, I was told I had to pay 25 cents extra!!!!! For a coffee- I was very upset. My friend who is in finance said that she didn’t think this was allowed by VISA. I contacted visa and they said “ Visa has certain regulations that all merchants which accept Visa cards must follow. Visa merchants are not permitted to: Establish minimum or maximum transaction amounts, even on sale items Submit a Visa sales draft for a dishonored check. Pass on the merchant's transaction fee to the cardholder as a Visa "service charge", "service fee" or "surcharge", even on sale items. A merchant may offer a discount for cash, however, the cardholder must be made aware of this prior to entering into the transaction.

The sandwiches, coffee and FroJoe's are excellent here. The family running the shop is really friendly, and the place is very clean. Prices are affordable. What more can you ask for in a neighbourhood coffee shop?

Nice staff. Loud environment so not necessary the best spot if you want to study. Coffee and the food not very great and average. And slightly over priced.

Typical cafe beverage offerings, along with sandwiches and wraps, soups, and salads. If you have a hankering for an egg and sausage breakfast bagel in the afternoon, worry not! They serve all day breakfast items, and offer breakfast sandwiches so that's really convenient. For your sugar fix you can enjoy a variety of La Rocca cake slices - Red Velvet, Mocha, and Blueberry Cheesecake, or go simple with your choice of cake loaf - Carrot, Lemon Cranberry, Banana or Chocolate (it all depends on what's available but there's always a variety to choose from). Not a cake person? They have cookies, scones and muffins for sale as well. There's lots of seating available, an outdoor patio, and free parking.

It's a great cafe when they have seating. Problem is that with the pandemic you can't eat in now. I personally recommend the smoked salmon avocado bagels, and the biscotti paired with a mocha latte.

2018/12/30<br/>SWBMO and I dropped in at Java Joe’s for a light lunch. It was shortly after noon on a Sunday, and the place was less than half full. It is a large coffee and sandwich shop that seats about 60 comfortably. <br/><br/>SWBMO had the East Coast Tuna Sandwich and I picked the Oven Roasted Turkey Panini. The sandwiches were freshly prepared and tasted pretty good. <br/><br/>Light lunch satisfied.

Their food is accompanying with warmth and niceness, and I really enjoy their style of aesthetic.<br/>Java Joe's is a decent sit down for anyone looking for lunch or breakfast, the food delicious from what I've had in their breakfast, and the cultural atmosphere gives a nice touch to the feeling!<br/>I thought wrong of it at first, but coming back, I soon reconsidered as it proved a nice sit down for anyone who can spare a little cash! <br/>Friendly warning though, the Wifi is free, but I would advise paying for a meal to be the cost, haha! <br/>Overall a nice sit down that I plan on visiting a lot more because of that, and you should too, the food is great! <br/>

Just your run of the mill coffee shop cafe type restaurant. Lots of seating, pleasant decor, free parking and quite tasty chicken breast toasted pitas. They have free wifi so that's a plus.
