Decent place for pho.
Pro
- seating environment comfortable.
- quick service - food arrived fast.
Con
- tea cups smell of strong detergent. I've always wondered if they properly rinse off their dishes and cutleries.
General comments
- special pho is ok.
- pho noodle is oddly like Chinese rice noodle, very broad and thick. I happen to like rice noodle so I guess no complaints.
- deep fried spring rolls is ok. Nothing special.
- about $30 for 2.
As far as Asian restaurants go, this place has got to be one of the longest standing in the area. It doesn't have the best quality food or service. But for a quick and cheap dining option you can't really go wrong.
My family loves the Beef Satay Soup at Pho Xe Lua. It's always a perfect balance of savory and spicy.
Overall Pho Xe Lua is an excellent place for Pho and other Vietnamese food. I thoroughly enjoy it everytime we go.
