Amazing staff. Great experience. We had a great time even with our short stay because there are plenty of things to do in the area. We enjoyed the place itself because of its nostalgic ambience and the novelty shop sells wonderful stuff and trinkets for a cheap price.

I didn't have the opportunity to stay at one of the rooms on the train but did have a very special dinner with family in the dining car. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The biscuits before dinner were melt in your mouth biscuits! I had fish cakes and beans. The fish cakes were a little too salty for those watching their salt intake but good. The beans were maple flavoured and very good. I do plan on going back and trying one of the rooms. There is also a lounge car that you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine.

We had a fantastic overnight stay at the Train Station Inn. Stayed in Caboose #9 which the kids loved. Lots of space, well appointed and air-conditioned. It actually exceeded my expectations. Dinner in the Dinning Car and breakfast in the station was very good. A truly unique experience and we enjoyed Tatamagouche and surrounding sites.

Seems to be a yearly tradition to visit the train station. It's like stepping back in time; food is great and the gift shop has a lot of really unique items. I'd recommend it to everyone!

If you have the opportunity this is a must! The staff are amazing and although it's truly kid friendly, it is a great stop for couples as well. We will be returning soon!

While we didn't "stay", we did eat in the dining car and visit the boutique. It was amazing...there's an energy of a time long gone that you feel or tap into if you allow it. Loved it. A special place to be enjoyed.

We had a lovely stay. Everyone very friendly and helpful. The Inn and its surrounding beyond charming. We meet and spoke to the opener who shared the story and how he bought the train station , at 18 years of age , to safe it from being torn down. The town itself lovely with many things to do including shop.

What a wondrous little gem, with a wonderful story. The room, the dining car and the little cafe all surpassed our expectations. A must see in Tatamagouche

We can't say enough good things about the dining car. Made reservations and were seated promptly on arrival. The atmosphere was enticing, but a bit cramped. I expect that's par for the course when you're dining in a train car. The food arrived in a timely manner, was to die for and was reasonably priced. My girlfriend has several dietary restrictions and sometimes when dining out we feel like we're inconveniencing the servers by asking them to check ingredients (let's be honest.. we are, but we can't help that). Our server Nicole was more than happy to make sure there were great things for her to eat. Even when dessert time rolled around, she modified a recipe instead of sending us away with nothing. She was super friendly and helpful. I'd give 10 stars if I could! We can't wait to come back.
