My partner and I have often eaten in or ordered from this Subway on Charlotte Street in Sydney NS. Today as my partner headed into the store to pick us up a sandwich for lunch (it was 11:15am on November 1st 2020) she noted she had forgotten her mask so came back to the car to get it. Once she got into the store to order there was a young man behind the counter and 5 other young people in one of the booth areas. During the brief time she was there... 2 of the young people…each at a different time… left the booth area and went to the washroom. None of the young people showed any signs of having a mask even as they shortly thereafter DEPARTED in a hurry. After asking the young man behind the counter why they didn't have masks on he said," We can't really make them wear one." Making note of the sign on their door saying AS IT SHOULD EVERYWHERE that Masks Are Mandatory... my partner asked who owned or managed the store. Though he works there the young man didn't have an answer. The question was also asked if the employee thought it was OK to let his friends in without a mask. He DID NOT say they WEREN’T his friends...so...perhaps they were. Promising out loud we’d be letting people know about this situation today... and making no bones about it...the 5 young people left abruptly. Only 2 girls were ever actually sitting at the booth on one side each...the other three young guys were all standing around the table talking to them. Noting we'd not be back to that establishment ever...we reminded him we'd be spreading the word. This morning...at least...this Subway on Charlotte Street in Sydney NS was an UNSAFE and upsetting environment. Please pass this on if you happen to know who manages this outlet or where we can contact that person. PLEASE NOTE...We DO NOT blame any other Subway or employee for this incident.

Today I ordered online 3 chicken teriyaki (403 charlottes st) and when I went to pick up my order there was a young man behind the counter... I get my order and come back to my place but when I take the first bite from that sub there is no chicken in it. I took another and so on. I had half of my subway and I didn't find any piece of chicken. I thought might be they put a veggie subway by mistake... I checked the second subway there is only three-piece of chicken in it. I went back to the subway and complaint about this firstly that young guy trying to escape from this but after that, he gave me the reason that THEY RAN OUT OF CHICKEN. If you guys don't have stuff then you should not take the orders or you should inform your customer that you don't have stuff. You have no right to waste one's time.

The food is good. But everytime I order my chicken teriyaki with chipotle sauce, they mangle my sandwich. I pick it up and it falls apart, the bread is ripped off. Learn how to cut your bread. Also add the chipotle to the bread not in a container!!

During my brief stay in Sydney, I wandered into this Subway expecting the same ol' sub. But, I was in for a surprise. Fibin (I believe that's what his name was) made the best tuna sub I've every had! Right proportion of meat, veggies, sauces, and seasoning. Thank you, Fibin. You've renewed my love for Subway!

Drove to subway to see they were closing in 10 minutes for a Christmas party, so we were thankful we made it in time, but then we walked in and were told to leave and go to either the Welton street subway or the subway in sydney river. She literally said in the rudest tone I have ever heard "we. Are. Closing. In 10 minutes. That, is what the sign on the door means." And REFUSED to serve us even after I told her we werent intending on eating in. What type of customer service is that? That's a great way to lose customers.. that's all I know. So then we drove all the way to sydney river to be told they were closed for the party as well... Why would you refuse to serve a customer 10 minutes before closing? Why would you raise your voice at one? Why would you misinform a customer ?? Terrible.

There's some taped square on the floor, and I bet if you ground pound like Mario on it you'll find a coin. The bread tasted a bit stale
