Review Bonnie Prince - Sydney

Depending how busy it is, you might have a wait for your food, but trust me, it's worth it. I had the maple currie chicken penne. Wow is the only possible word. My wife felt similarly about her fish and chips. So, so good! Would be back every night if possible and not weird.

Great location with a terrace across the street from the bay. A cut above regular "pub" food

We visited the restaurant after going to the location in Halifax. The evening was busy in the restaurant as there was live entertainment. We were seated on the patio as we did not have a reservation. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the restaurant. We waited over an hour and a half for our food. When it did come, it was cold and had to be sent back to be reheated. Of course, reheated in the microwave. People who had come after us had gotten their food and left in the time that it took us to receive our food. Management needs to do a better job of staffing as it was clear that our waitress was overworked, and the restaurant was understaffed, especially on nights when live entertainment is performing. We received a discount of $4.50 on a $120 bill because our food was cold, however, I would still not recommend. Nevertheless, the chain in Halifax is worth visiting.

Long wait times… because things are not okay as they are.. COVID and all. Stopped by for a pint, got a few shots and a very interesting little snack. Deep fried pepperoni, I am Russian and my favourite beer snack is fried bologna meat. Similar and yet different; go out and try this place as it is true to the idea that it puts forth, a pub with good grub.

Kids enjoyed burgers, we had penne, fish and chips and salmon. Was great experience, food was beyond great and the server Sara was awesome as well. Would recommend to anyone who asks.

We just walked out. The food was not the best but that's not something I would usually make a fuss about. The frustrating part for me was we went for the entertainment. Ashley macisaac was playing this evening. We bought our tickets in advance. If we were made aware in advance that we were going to be seated in an area where we couldn't see the stage we wouldn't have bought the tickets in the first place. BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT WE WENT FOR! so between the overpriced food and the fact we were sold tickets for entertainment we couldn't actually watch I would give zero stars if I could. I personally feel underappreciated as a customer. And maby a little taken advantage of.

Not only did I eat the best seafood chowder I've ever had, but I got to see the amazing Ashley MacIsaac live with my dinner! Truly the best part of my trip to Cape Breton!

This at was one of if not the best tasting value in industrial cape breton up until about 4 years ago when new management took over.... The service is sub par ,you hardly ever get what you order without sending it back at least once,and food is not worth the money, the t bone steak is transparent its that thin... Also after eatin there for 30 years and knowing the employees by name for their years of service I now see different staff on tge floor and in the kitchen everytime I go there...talkin to the waitresses they seem stressed out and less accomodating... I seen my last day there! P.S. Only pay for your order if it is exactly like you requested!

Where is my meal. I was at the Bonnie Prince with two of my sisters and my niece and we all order something and they brought out 3 meals and I waited while the rest ate , maybe fifteen minutes or so and still no meal. The waitress stopped by then and said how was everything and asked me " did you not get your meal" , So she did try to figure out where the problem was and why I didn't recieve the meal . That took about another 10 minutes. she offered to get me one. .The rest were just about finished and I said no because we were all leaving. She offered to make it togo , if I wanted a microwaved dinner I would have stayed home. I did not have the time to wait. She then said that they would not charge me for the meal...DUH, what meal. We never even got a coffee refill. I heard nothing but great things about this place, food atmosphere and staff,,not sure if I will be back and my sisters say the same.

Fantastic Food. You have to try their Corned beef and Cabbage..wow!<br/>Never had a bad meal in this restaurant. Food is delish, Portions are huge, service is great and friendly and desserts are definitely worth saving room for or taking home for later(which I have been know to do). <br/>Two thumbs up!<br/><br/>J

The greatest place to eat. Love love love the bonnie eat there about 2 times a week staff is super friendly n food great best gravy on the island :)

Service was great however the kitchen should pay attention to what they serve. I had the fish and chips. The fries were cold and the batter was runny. Might have been a off day.

A favorite of the whole family, prices are reasonable, and portions are huge

Best place for a Sunday meal. Excellent!!
