The food and service were excellent. I had the blackened salmon wrap and it did not disappoint. It was full of flavor and supper juicy! The view from the upper deck at sunset was spectacular.
I enjoyed my meal very much and our waitress was so sweet and attentive. I had the fish special which was delicious but I would have liked if I could have ordered a baked potato instead of fries. My desert the rum cake was very good, sweet, but good. I loved sitting up on the higher outdoor deck. All my friends and I loved it! Thankful we have such a nice place to go too in Sydney like Governor's Pub & Eatery.

Excellent options for celiacs (those who must eat gluten-free!) The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the food was sensational! Highly recommended for everyone, and a safe place for celiacs to get a great meal.
Good selection of local beer on draft. We had fish and chips and oysters and they were delicious. Everything tasted fresh and was cooked well. Staff was friendly. We had go wait a bit to be seated and for our food to arrive, but that's because this place is quite busy. Would definitely go to this place again.
Had lobster roll, house salad with house dressing and spouse had chicken/veggie noodle soup and house salad. Food was excellent as well as friendly, efficient service. Highly recommend!
The service and the food was excellent. We had the calamari for an appetizer, I had the stir fry and my husband had the butter poached halibut it was all delicious. My husband is still saying it was the best meal he has had to date.... So glad we stopped in. The waitress was so friendly and prompt. We will most defiantly be back the next time we are in Sydney!!!! Highly recommend this place!
Depending how busy it is, you might have a wait for your food, but trust me, it's worth it. I had the maple currie chicken penne. Wow is the only possible word. My wife felt similarly about her fish and chips. So, so good! Would be back every night if possible and not weird.
Great location with a terrace across the street from the bay. A cut above regular "pub" food
Long wait times… because things are not okay as they are.. COVID and all.
Stopped by for a pint, got a few shots and a very interesting little snack. Deep fried pepperoni, I am Russian and my favourite beer snack is fried bologna meat. Similar and yet different; go out and try this place as it is true to the idea that it puts forth, a pub with good grub.
Kids enjoyed burgers, we had penne, fish and chips and salmon. Was great experience, food was beyond great and the server Sara was awesome as well. Would recommend to anyone who asks.
Love the local beer selection, huge menu with delicious options.
Not only did I eat the best seafood chowder I've ever had, but I got to see the amazing Ashley MacIsaac live with my dinner! Truly the best part of my trip to Cape Breton!
