Review Dawoods - Surrey

Had only seen a few of their items being sold in another supermarket before so I was pleasantly surprised when I visited. Along with lots of Frozen foods, they have pizza fried Chicken as well as fried wings available in several flavors. In addition a decent variety of marinated products as well in beef as well as chicken. I was unable to get a small pizza because apparently that's only served until 3:00 p.m. so I opted to get fried chicken, which had a unique taste. It wasn't spicy by any means but it just tasted pretty good! Best part was the price on the fried chicken. I also got marinated beef steak which I grilled just a couple of days ago and it was delicious! This however was pricey but I guess worth it for once in awhile.

Checked this place out due to the good ratings on Google. Save your money though, tried to order online and the site seemed to have a glitch. Called to place our order, person wasn’t very friendly and the order was wrong (ordered just a pepperoni with green peppers, received what seemed to be a veggie with just pepperoni added? Not sure.. had extra veggies like mushrooms and red onion) and took over 30 minutes When we went to pick up at the time they had suggested we were told “sorry it took so long, it was frozen” … you’d be better to just use your own freezer pizza. We only tried only a slice each and tossed the rest.

I just called the restaurant and asked a few questions for me to feel comfortable to buy their food or not as a Muslim. As when it comes to halal cuisine it's a matter of trust, Because too many different sects have too many different rules that may not work for my beliefs. When I asked the worker/owner kindly 2 questions on the phone he quickly got upset and offended and hang up on me before I was even able to finish my question and explain why I'm asking,instead of being polite and patient with my concerns and to give me rest of assurance that everything is to my liking in terms of my rules that I follow as a Muslim. It's not the first time unfortunately that I see such behaviour. It is too bad for him and his business and he will quickly lose ground with such close mindedness. I'm a very open and loving person towards any religion or belief and make only a difference for myself. But there are things that need to be in order for me before I can eat at a restaurant or not. Unfortunately unfortunately this ignorant and rude person has not yet understood what real customer service means or even what real Islam means... He just called me back and threatened me with police because of my review here on Google! How redicolous is this? You just lost a customer and further Rizq from Allah! And I'll make sure others will know about your behavior brother!

Tried Dawood's pizza first time, ordered 2 small pizza one in chicken Tikka flavor, 2nd one is Meaty lover pizza. Good amount of meat and cheese was found on pizza good taste better then from so many other pizza shop, rate is really reasonable. Must recommend to those who want to enjoy good pizza

The bottom of the pizza bread was tough and dry, like the texture of fried tortilla. There wasn't much bread on top. I love my pizza and I think this is the first time I stopped at 3 slices. I wish you the best

I rented a uhaul truck from this place with no clue that they make really good food too. My friend and I decided to order pizza after returning the truck. Oh boy! their pizza (we ordered tandoori chicken and veggie) was so good and full of fresh ingredients. Owner is very kind and friendly. I will come back to try their chicken next time. Quality and authenticity seem to be what they stand for.

What a halal pizza guys!!!! I can still not forget the taste. We were so hungry and finished the pizza in no time. Generous toppings and meat. Tandoori pizza is a wow. It reminded me of bismillah pizza in Toronto. Only thing its far from my place orelse It would be my go to place. Their meat is good too. Watch what you buying when buying marinated products though. We asked for few pieces of marinated chicken and the person gave from a different packet kept underneath which I didn’t like. Otherwise their beef patties are yummy too. Clean and non smelly place. Very hygienic.

We were in Surrey for 5 weeks and Dawood makes by far the best pizza there! We ordered from Omega and Canadian 2 for 1 ( ground chicken, undercooked, not great at all from either of these places ) prior to Dawood’s and we were super disappointed. When I ordered from Dawood the pizza was actually REAL tandoori chicken from a tandoor....like actually cooked properly and diced into large chunks!!!! The pizza was fantastic, piping hot, cooked perfectly! I wish I could get this pizza here at home in Toronto. Next time we stay with then in-laws I will be ordering a few of these creations for sure!! Five stars, hands down!!!!

Great service! Great products! Fresh meats that are marinated in house. Handmade sausages and burgers.

ONE OF THE BEST PIZZA I'VE HAD. ALSO HAD THE CHICKEN, WHICH COOKED AWSOME ON THE BBQ. ALSO HAD THE BURGER PATTIES CHICKEN AND BEEF. YOU KEEP COMING BACK
