Review Kam Wah Restaurant Wonton House - Surrey

Kyle Geddes
Good cheap eats, friendly service, tasty dishes. A staple for 30 years or so, I've lived near this place my entire life and never went in until today. It wasn't a good first impression, dark interior and dead empty - but the staff was friendly and food was decent! Cheap cuts of meat, but that's to expected at this price point, flavours were toned down as is most "Canadian Chinese food" everyone can find something they like here. Chef is happy to accommodate any tweaks or changes you request. We'll be back for the wonton soup, and the honey garlic pork (which is crispy, fatty, sweet and savoury and oh so indulgent!)

Honey garlic pork is amazing like a giant paste of bacon one of the greatest things ever 😁

This family run business has been serving incredible food for over 30 years.. My girlfriend who has reached the age i can't share it has been a regular here since a little girl. I love the Canadian style Asian food here!! I can't say strongly enough that its a must try! Enjoy!

Simply amazing food at excellent prices. Very friendly service. The dry garlic boneless pork is the very best in the lower mainland if not the whole province and I've ordered it in restaurants all over north America.

Found the food very disappointing. The ginger beef was swimming in a gross sauce. The chow mein had no flavour. The fried rice had very little ingredients. Sweet and sour pork tasted like it was three days old. Very disappointed. Brought it upto who ever was on the phone and they didn't give a damn. Will return to Asian Jazz which is far superior.

My daughter and myself always enjoy coming to the Kam Wah Wonton House in Surrey. It is one of those places that never change, which in a way is comforting, especially in a city where things change daily. This is a family run restaurant and the food is never a disappointment. They always have Chinese tea on and the refills are plentiful. They do only take cash, so go prepared. They also have delivery. ☺ ☺ ☺

Only have had their take out but I LOVE the War Wonton soup. Their food is excellent too. Prices are good for the portion sizes. I would give it a 5* but I believe there is something in the wontons we don't like. Guessing it's a preservative of some sort.

I went here for the pork bbq wonton soup, the barbecue tasted really metallic and off putting. Pretty sure the meat has gone bad. Place is dated and the lighting is dim. I came to this place because of the positive review, left with a potential food poisoning case. Definitely won't be back here.
