services are great, always give complementary / free stuff on the side from time to time. food are fresh and love it, delivery is great too. experience varies a bit each time but overall great. only thing i'd say is they'd need more cook, so wait time is a bit long however worth the wait.
I was late to pick up my order but the owner was so understanding and even gave me a discount. A really great first impression, I will definitely be back. The gyoza are amazing.
Staff is always friendly. Deep fried cheese California roll is excellent. Owner often give free complimentary rolls on the house. What more could u ask for.

We had a really positive experience with Kyoto Sushi. We're pretty knowledgeable about sushi and despite a few less than positive reviews we thought we would give it a try. We're a little outside of their delivery area, but they agreed to deliver to us on a slower Monday without any extra delivery charge. The sashimi was very fresh and prepared the way it should be. The salmon teriyaki was nicely prepared and the Spider roll properly made. All were delivered warm despite the extra distance. They went out of their way to deliver to us, a really welcome effort because our local sushi restaurants don't deliver. The only small complaint was a little extra time to deliver but they did caution us. We found the food wonderful, they were helpful and I recommend them for good quality, good value and their extra effort on delivery.
The restaurant is little, but kind of cute. The server was super friendly. We ordered chicken teriyaki with shrimp tempura, deep fried goyza, ebi Sonomono. We got free with the meal, a California roll and 2 miso soup.
Everything was excellent. Loved the very light sauce on the teriyaki, and the stir fry under it was so good. The Sonomono was sweeter than we're used to, I really liked it, but kiddo didn't. The amount of shrimp in it was great!
I would have given this place 5 stars if the server hadn't given me a little grief about my 25% off coupon. She wasn't going to accept it because she said it needed to be presented BEFORE the meal, but the coupon didn't say that, so she gave in and accepted it.

We've been ordering delivery from Kyoto for over 3 years, 1-2 times every month or so. We are not super close, 15-20min drive away, but they always arrive within the hour. They are polite and kind to the family when greeting us at the door every time.
I and the family have ~many~ favourite menu items, but what I'll order every time is their BBQ Salmon Skin that comes with several crispy and juicy pieces, in this sweet smokey teriyaki sauce and a healthy sprinkling of masago! Oh, and an order or two of their Taro Bubble Tea!
They serve sushi and function like any typical Japanese restaurant, with the exception of a couple unique items like their Corn & Potato Croquette, Prawn Salad Roll w/ peanut sauce, a Bubble Tea Selection etc., and their consistent kind service definitely shines among the many jaded long-time restaurateurs these days. Great refreshing little place, we feel lucky to have them around. And their tasty food too. :)

My fav sushi EVER but poor service but the food is so good ive taken my family one member at a time and my boyfreind just so i could go again and again please order the coconut surprise for desesrt its gelati i know in an asian restaurant but order it you will not regret it my favs are alaska and spicy tuna roll
Dinner for two.... The dinner for two included a sunomono salad with more shrimp than you would believe. The appetizer included tempura, karaage and gyoza so bring a big appetite for this one. The sushi rolls and nigiri sushi were fresh, well made and good quality. We didn't even have room for the chicken teriyaki. All that for $32.00
Such great service here everytime!! The staff are always very friendly and helpful. We order take out quite a bit from this restaurant, and the service is terrific sometimes they even include a little bonus something as a thank you for your business. This is one of the best sushi places in the area to me. Been ordering Here for over 10 years and will continue to do so.

I ordered sushi for pickup and am happy to have found such tasty sushi so close to home! Tempura wasn't over battered, the croquette was delicious, and the nigiri was fresh. I am excited to try more dishes and eat in one day!
Nice, quaint lil place found on a major route on 72nd and King George. First time at this place. Take out on a Friday, i only waited 15min. The lady was very friendly and even gave my son a drink while waiting. The portions are SO worth the money! Rolls are huge! Quality of food was really good and presentable. Id definitely come back here again

A friend suggested sushi which sounded like a fine idea to me. Kyoto Sushi served up a pair of savory & diverse bento boxes plus tempura appetizers and edamame beans.
A stylish but traditional decor, quality service and tantalizing dishes made for an excellent & memorable dinner out.
Easily a top notch restaurant to satisfy a Japanese craving in Newton.
