Review Cupcakes At Guildford - Surrey

Love getting a nice treat from here. Staff are always great and easy to deal with. They'll also make more cupcakes within minutes if you need more than whats available. Our favorite are the red velvets. Can't go wrong with these. They have quite a few flavors to choose from though!

You know the feeling of falling in love? No, then you should try these cupcakes. I had 2 cupcakes. Really fresh and taste perfect.

This is great place to get cupcakes if you’re ever in this mall. The flavour is just right and the cupcake has a nice texture, not crumbly , definitely worth a try!

I usually splurge from there once in awhile I won't anymore I found a hair in my frosting I was eating it and I pulled a hair out I was so grossed out and will never be returning again here and I really loved their cupcakes until now. To think they would be more cautious because of the price we effin pay for these cupcakes.

Tried the famous cupcakes today. Honestly was super sub par. Icing was oily and flavourless, but I could feel the sugar crunching as I ate it. Cake was cry and flaky. Really not impressed. I expected much more for the price and the presence on TV!

Cupcakes is really the only bakery in the cupcake game, which they dominate, especially in Guildford. I can't think of another stand alone shop that can compete. Cupcakes are pretty, delicious and fresh. Service is always friendly. And who doesn't love a cupcake surprise on their birthday? Or even when casually walking around the mall..

I ordered the 5” Classic “Filigree” cake in pink the day before I needed it. It was beautiful, delicious, prepared on time and to my specifications, but with too much filling. I would recommend specifically asking for light filling unless you’ve got a realllly sweet tooth. The service was very friendly, although there was initially some confusion about custom cake orders. Always best to go in and talk face-to-face than over the phone or email.

Absolutely terrible, On Sunday, May 10th I visited the Cupcakes store in Guildford Mall with 3 cake pops in hand. The manager of the store was not in yet but I did show the cake pops to one of the two employees. The employee then called the manager, who I spoke with over the phone. Not knowing how cake pops were made, I had been told that the people that ate the cake pops felt they were undercooked. I relayed this to the store manager who was insistent that the cake pops were cooked properly and that no refund would be coming back. I told the manager that  the bride would have come in and sampled the cake pops before ordering, but was told that 'no, she just came in and ordered them'. After speaking with the groom upon his return from their honeymoon that this  was not correct. Both the bride and groom sampled the cake pops prior to ordering. After being refused no refund of any sort, I started my way back out to my car and remembered that the chocolate cake pops were severely different than the other cake pops in that the pink sparkles were not covering the entire surface. I made my way back into the store and showed the cake pops to the employee once again. She told me that I should have returned them once we found the  problem. We were at a wedding in Vancouver, there was no time for this option. She then called the store manager again and then informed me that there would be no refund as I had obviously mishandled the cake pops. I took one of the cake pops, which was beautifully covered with pink sparkles, banged it on the counter top for several seconds and virtually all of the sparkles stayed on. The employee again recited what the manager had said - no refund. The look on her face and the other employee's face with priceless though. In my opinion, they knew that I was right yet were over-ridden by the manager. After leaving Cupcakes Guildford, I visited the 'Frosting Cupcakery' in Langley and showed the cake pops I brought from the wedding to the two bakers in the store. Both bakers felt there was too much buttercream in the cake pops. I then took the cake pops to Cedarbrook Bakery, but unfortunately they were closed. On Tuesday, May 12th I again took the cake pops to Cedarbrook Bakery and spoke with their baker (Kirsti) who felt that there was definitely too much buttercream in the cake pops, giving it a weird consistency.

Newly opened location in guildford mall, below london drugs. <br/>the red velvet was so tasty. cupcakes are dense and frostings are light and aren't excessively sweet. but the two large cupcakes we ordered were kinda dry. i'm guessing they were baked first in the morning, left uncovered all day and then we bought them 15 mins prior to closing. either that, or they need a couple mins less in the oven. perhaps when their clientele builds up, their cupcake turnover will improve and the moistness issue will be resolved. service was friendly
