Review Kelly's Pub - Surrey

This place is actually pretty neat considering the price of their products. We had a blast with caraoke! The food was pretty good, the Kelly burger is delicious. Their furniture and venue is in need of a TLC. Overall great experience.

If you are a smoker all good. You can get in the door through the smoke cloud. Staff stand outside smoking right in front into of the door. It is not very inviting. Staff are great but need to follow the rules as well. Will be going to another location

Went here for a quick meeting. The server (Ben) was just amazingly welcoming. He made some really great recommendations, which I appreciate when dinning out. The energy was perfect and the food was great. Very spacious and ample parking. Didn't wait long for our food and drinks. Definitely will go back.

Great place. Came for drinks met a lot of friendly people in a welcoming atmosphere. Kareoke was going on. Three is pool and wifi. Place was nice and clean but a bit small. Bar can support about 8 people or so and there are some tables around.

Irish nachos were good. Service became busy but did fine. Drinks were cold but table sticky.

This pub is located adjacent to the Save On Foods on King George in a little strip mall. Upon entering it is a cozy seating area with the feel of an old tavern. My wife and I seated ourselves at a table near the bar and the server arrived promptly and explained the menu options in relation to a coupon I found in my mail earlier this week indicating it is under new management.

I finished my Soda quickly and service was quick and professional when delivering a pitcher of it to the table which I greatly appreciated. Our food order was also very quick to arrive at the table with one error, my wife requested no onions however onions were received.

My wife ordered the Maui chicken burger which was described as a teriyaki marinated chicken breast with grilled pineapple. Despite being smothered in sauce there was no indication that it was marinated as it was not the correct shade of colour, it was dry but not over cooked, and on its own was flavourless. It came with fries which were perfectly crisp and seasoned while soft on the inside.

I ordered the blackened salmon burger described in the menu as Cajun. The fish was delicious and perfectly cooked but it was heavy on tartar sauce which canceled out most of the wonderful Cajun seasoning on the salmon. My fries were also perfect.

Overall: Server was wonderful however my wife’s meal was disappointing and my meal, due only to the taste resulting from too much Tartar sauce, was average. I would return if only to determine if they improve in the coming year but my wife likely wouldn’t be along for the experience.

I frequently drive by, but have never stopped in. We found a coupon and went to give them a chance. The service was really good even though the only front end staff was doing all front end stuff. I had a view of the kitchen and the cook looked like he was very disgruntled with a look on his face that if you approach him, he will tear a strip off you. I ordered the Maui burger and the husband ordered the Blackened Salmon burger. He enjoyed his burger. Looking at the description of my burger, I was expecting it done a certain way. It says the chicken is “marinated in tariyaki sauce.” So when you marinate something, the flavours should be infused into the main product (this case, chicken), and when cooked, the chicken patty should have some level of crisp/char to it as Teriyaki sause has enough salt/sugar in it to do this. I also asked for no onions on the burger (what if I was allergic to it?). So when I get my order, I open it up. There was lots of onions on the burger and the patty wasn’t marinated, it simply had a dollop of Teriyaki sauce that didn’t even cover the whole patty. The patty was dry and tasted like it was cooked, refrigerated and reheated again. If the patty was marinated, it should not come out dry.

So, I ordered from here through skip the dishes for delivery. What a mistake!!!! If it's like this for delivery, I can only imagine what they serve in the restaurant. My Apple pie is completely mashed into a small box. $5 for a box of Apple pie mash. Super upsetting. They heated it up first, so that it was mush as well. What a waste. Maybe they just don't care when you're not eating it in the restaurant. I wouldn't ever order from here again.

Pretty awesome. My wife and I go here frequently. Not only are the prices incredibly reasonable the food is great. We're never unhappy after a visit. Throw in some cheap sleeves of beer and smiling happy service and you've got a great spot for food and entertainment. Also, it is laid back- is in the atmosphere is nice/friendly and not snobby. You can relax and enjoy your great food without being surrounded by a bunch of snobs like in DT Vancouver. The food is restaurant quality in a pub setting. Highly recommended. A++

A Good Neighbourhood Pub. The pub is in the corner of a modest strip mall. Parking can be tight at times. The pub itself is made up of a long stool bar seating area with table seating along narrow aisleways towards the back . the decor is classic Newton with little aspiration towards Irish naational styling. The service is usually reasonable if at times laid back. The personnel are pleasant, especially the waitresses. The food is well prepared and tasty. The quantities are generous and moderately priced. At Kelly's you get an honest return for your money. I have never left disappointed.

Good grub good service. There's not much Irish about this pub,but the lunch menu has a good variety of choices at fair prices. Appies half price 3 to 6 are a good deal, they don't seem to cut back the servings like some other places do when items are on special
