We tried so many cupcakes when trying to decide what flavours to have for our wedding cake. It was the hardest decision as they all tasted amazing!! Happy Cakes was so helpful, responsive, organized and just the best. Everyone including us loved our wedding cake it was beautiful but more importantly delicious! Would 100% recommend for any cake or cupcake needs.

I ADORE happy cakes!! My favorite flavors are red velvet, anything chocolate, and the bubblegum cupcake! I first found happy cakes when I ordered pretty in pink cupcakes for my gender reveal in 2019, and I have been obsessed ever since! My husband is used to the cupcake runs on his way home so I can enjoy a perfectly sweet treat. He even got me the cupcake bouquet special for Valentines day, and it was soooo beautiful ☺️🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁 Just walking into the store is a burst of joy, and the smell is freaking amazing 😍

Every time I come here, my daughter and I have a hard time deciding what to get. There are so many amazing favours! We came here years ago, the cupcakes were too sweet. Lately we went, it has been amazing! The cake is moist, icing is lovely, filling is at the right portion. The cupcakes are on the sweet indulge side, try not to have too many.

We ordered cake for my father-in-law. So I went to pay for the deposit. Right I walked inside, I was kinda wow, so beautiful all around me, clean and organized. Everything looked invited to bring back home with so of course, we all got cupcakes. My kids and my husband loved it but for me it was too sweet. My father-in-law can't stop smiling when he saw his cake and so did everybody. So if you want custom cake, you won't disappointed here. They did amazing job!

I contacted Happy Cakes days before my daughter’s second birthday hoping for a custom order. Although they were not able to accommodate my custom order, instead of just saying no they provided options of what they could do and made my daughter’s dream cake using their signature cake options. It looked amazing and it tasted even better! We will definitely be back in the future. Thank you!

We love to stop by and grab a treat at this cute place! Always the coolest flavors and the cupcakes don't just take like sugar, they really have actual flavour and are really yummy. Will be back soon for another tiramisu cupcake 🧁 or maybe I'll cave and buy one of the fresh ready to go cakes in the display 😍

Great cupcakes! I have ordered from Happy Cakes a few times. One time was for my Grandmas Birthday. My Grandma suddenly got ill and ended up in the hospital. I contacted the owner Rachel and explained my situation and asked if if I could cancel the upcoming pickup date which was about 5 days away and hold off until she was better and out of the hospital. Rachel was very accommodating and understanding. About 2 weeks later I contacted happy cakes and let them know I would like it for the following weekend and I had no hassle. It was a beautiful cake for about $45. Always happy to support a local business.. even better that is walking distance from my house!

I made an order by email. I attached the pictures and clearly wrote my request that I wanted the words to be on the tray/bottom. I was disappointed when I got the cake, the words were on the top of the cake. About the taste, it's not the best marble cake.

Have been liking the cupcake shop since my oldest daughter was born...now I have 2 and both are eating their fav cupcakes...great flavors & great staff!!

I just recently ordered custom cookies and also paid extra to have them packaged individually. When I got them, the ink/food colouring were still wet and smeared the plastic inside with ink and the icing design around it. Some of the icing were still wet that the plastic adhered to the icing even when they were laid flat in a single row in a box and not stacked. They just look like a big mess. I don't understand how a bakery didn't think of letting the cookies air dry before putting them in the plastic wrap? The cookies don't dry inside the bag. I still paid for them full despite the fact that they did not meet my standards. I could have returned them but I have nothing to give the next day. But what upsets me the most was I took pictures of the cookies and emailed them to let them know of my displeasure. Yet after 4 days as of today, I still haven't gotten a reply or an apology. Mind you, I did not ask for a refund or even discount for the cookies. Your service was quick and easy when you were accepting my order. But when a complaint was made, you are no where to be heard. I have been a generous customer and will not be a returning customer.

I have purchased several birthday cakes from happycakes and they have all been to die for! All of the staff are super helpful and so friendly!

The special order of 500 cookies in the shape of teacups and teapots were beyond expectation. They tasted as good as they looked! Thankyou for bringing so much pleasure for the guests of this special event honoring a special T.V. Series called When Calls The Heart. In the series Lori Laughlin portrays the owner of a 1915 restaurant called Abigail's Cafe. Hence the teacups and teapots.

The shop is so cute! And the cupcakes are amazing!

Popped in for a well earned treat after our 5 mile hike and were very impressed with the service and variety of cupcakes. The mini cakes were surprisingly moist and the regular cupcake was better than anything I have ever purchased in a bakery. So good. We can't wait to earn our next visit!

The most AMAZING cupcakes ever. They were perfect looking too! The staff was fabulous and knowledgeable. If you haven't used them for an enemy or party I highly recommend them.

My Dad's 60th Birthday was this past week and for his gift I decided to do something special for the cake. My Dad is South African and proud of his heritage....so I asked Happycakes to make me a cake in the shape of Africa, with shadows of trees and African animals on the side and a little heart where Cape Town is in South Africa. When I placed the cake in front of him, my proud African father cried. It was one of the most amazing moments of my life and I'm so grateful for Happycakes because they gave that moment to my Dad and myself. He felt really special....and the cake was delicious...everyone was raving about it all night. Thank you Happycakes for bringing my vision and hopes to life. :)

I love this little shop. Cutest bakery in town!! Talented and helpful staff, and just amazing cakes and cupcakes!!! My favourite is the red velvet, and mom loves the mint chocolate. Can't wait to go back and have another treat!!

Great staff, I planned a very quick wedding and got laughed at by 2 bakeries when I asked for a small wedding cake 2 weeks before the wedding, Happy Cakes took us on without question and created the perfect naked cake for us, they attached the flowers perfectly and had the cake ready on time. They allowed us to borrow a decorative stand as well. The best part- the cake actually tasted so good! My husband gets me beautiful cakes every year for my birthday from another bakery in Steveston, they look good but don't taste great. This cake was moist buy the Bavarian cream was the best part. They also supplies 24 mini cupcakes that got devoured so quick, I didn't get to try. Attached is a picture of the beautiful cake.<br/><br/>1 month after our wedding I decided to use them again for my husbands birthday cake, I gave little notice again and they took the cake on without grilling me about waiting last minute. The blue jays themed cake was a hit, everyone loved the look and the taste. The chocolate cake and Bavarian cream went so good together, EVERYONE finished their slice and commented how good it was. Unfortunately the picture I have was after the candles were blown out and some hands had touched the decor on it but it still looks great. Picture also attached.<br/>Thanks again happy cakes, you guys are amazing. Such young people running this place, yet so professional and talented. I can't wait for the next one.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Happy Cakes. The staff are very personable and professional, and had excellent communication to assure the cake was perfect. It was ready ahead of schedule and looked and tasted amazing! Will definitely be going back for future orders, without question. A+++

Their cupcakes are really lovely! My only wish would be that their frosting not be so dense. It's not fluffy, it's moreso a thicker consistency. The ratio of cupcake to frosting is off then because the frosting is so thick and sweet that it doesn't balance out. So I usually take some of the frosting off and then it's better, but the Lemon is truly the best. YUM!

Literally the best red velvet cupcakes I have ever had! They are always super moist and complimented by the perfect amount of cream cheese icing. Absolutely delicious! The chocolate cheesecake and coconut are also very yummy:) <br/>The ladies who work there are always so lovely and helpful. Great cupcakes and customer service. Would recommend to anyone I know.

But let's be honest, they're all amazing.<br/><br/>They make custom cakes as well, and they're just as delicious as their cupcakes!!<br/>They made my boyfriend's graduation cake and it was amazing, both in looks and in taste.<br/><br/>Love that this is a small, family run business.. The owner is delightful, and all the staff are friendly and very helpful.<br/><br/>Would recommend to anyone looking for amazing desserts at a super reasonable price!!

Messy work. I recently had a birthday and asked happy cakes to make the cake. I knew exactly what I wanted and told them more than 2 months before the event. I even sent them a photo and disntinctly described what i wanted exactly. I made they sure they wrote down all the details I wamted for the cake. When my birthday arrived, i was extremely disappointed. The cake looked nothing like the picture I showed them (and it was a relatively simple cake). They only put some (but very little) design on one side of the 3D figure at the tip of the cake and left the other side almost completely blank. The painting was messy and By the time the cake reached my house, it was cracking in so many places. Now the cake wasn't horrible, but considering i told them well in advance and VERY clearly what i wanted, I was expecting much better work for the price that I paid. Will not be purchasing again from them.

Happy is what I am. Had bought some cup cakes to take for to my wife and kids and the owner at curry express said they were so good. Will she was right there were amazing and my kids ate them all. I was lucky to get a bit. Will I guess I have found two place to go back to next time I am in that area for work.

Happy Happy Cakes...I am going back. I have used Happy Cakes twice in the last 6 months and have been happy with both times.<br/>I have bought cupcakes and a cake on 2 different occasions. My experience over the phone, email and in person was exceptional. They also helped out with gluten free cupcakes and they tasted the same as the regular ones. I am going back next year for my girls birthdays and recommend this place to my friends all the time!!!

Horrible Customer Service. You pay for an expensive cake, only to get the wrong spelling on your husband's 40th surprise party cake. Called and left messages and never returned my call to apologize or try to compensate for their mistake. They are the worst business for customer service and I will be sure to spread the word about their lack of respect to customers. Horrible and terrible experience. Will never go back there again!

Cakes are to die for!!!. I have been going here ever since new owners took over. I love the cookie dough truffles. I have had them make a number of items for me for party's I have gone too! And always the same commits made were did you get this from. I had one mix up at the beginning and spoke to owner and it was all taken care of. Staff is super and friendly. It's a family business and those are the places I go to because I know they will try hard to make everything prefect for me.

Disappointed. I order an anniversary cake for my parents and I was super disappointed. The communication was terrible and disorganized. Flavour was too sweet and it wasn't very pretty. Decorations were minimal and it was quite boring. Not worth the $160 I spent and wouldn't recommend Happy Cakes or patronize them again.

They also sell filled cupcakes, which sound (and look) AMAZING! I’ll definitely have to try some of those in the future. This is a great cupcake shop, and I highly recommend giving them a try if you’re looking for some excellent cupcakes. You can find them on Facebook, as their website has never been accessible any time I’ve tried to look it up (using various browsers) in the last week or so.
