one of the best middle eastern restrarunts in town the Doners are great and amazing i like the chicken a little more than the lamb the lamb is great also u will never crave those fake Doniars agian this restreanut is run by an Afghan famliy there food service and hosptilty is amzing try other iteams such as the $11 lamb shank really tasty and there middle eastern drinks including one of there Turkish pops amzing place if you have never had AFghan or middle eastern food start here also the Sharmwa platter and the Chicken Kabob is really amzing and filing

Hole in the wall places are my thing. Delicious food at affordable prices. This place delivers. The donairs are great. The yummy hot sauce appears to be home made. The lamb shank is also amazing, coming with nicely spiced rice. The Mantu and Ashak are worth trying too. Mmmm. Mmm.

I've only ordered the donairs so far, so I can't judge how the rest of the food is. Hopefully the donairs are an indication of the flavours and quality that the rest of their food represent, because they are fantastic!

I've ordered the beef, chicken & beef & falafel mix donair.  The closest comparison of these donairs would be to the ones you get at donair king in Vancouver which is often considered one of the best donairs in the lower mainland.  They both grill the donair and have really good quality and fresh ingredients.

I would probably rate donair king's donairs a little bit higher than afghan bakery & fast food, but if you are in the Surrey Central area (Whalley.... it's really Whalley) I would highly recommend trying these guys out.  They are very fairly priced and the donairs are great.  The meats are seasoned nicely and the falafels are quite flavourful (not sure if they are made fresh or if they're frozen, regardless they're tasty)

I can't say that the location is great by any means and there isn't much room to sit down and eat if that is your plan. Those would be the only negatives I would put on this place (so far.... I still need to try the rest of their other dishes)

It's nice to find a "hidden gem" in the Whalley area since I can't say that there is too much in the area that I would bother recommending.  Most places are passable, but I wouldn't bother telling anyone about them.

If you are further North and in the Guildford area I would recommend trying Ishtar donair.  They're tasty as well, but they seem to have some strange operating hours (IE: They seem to be open only when they feel like)
They still aren't as good as Afghan Bakery & Fast Food, but still worth a try.

Authentic from start to finish!. Only one word comes to mind to describe this place...AUTHENTIC; from the food to the owner/chef/host! The location is small but the food is BIG on flavour. And the presentation is commendable, even for take out orders. There are also authentic middle eastern drinks and sweets for purchase. Add both to your meal for a complete taste experience. All that being said, the jewel of this place really is the host. He demonstrates true middle eastern hospitality. Go once and you'll return.

Tasty lamb shank. Been meaning to get in here for a while now--glad I did.

They have a menu on the wall, but look to the left and you'll see the main items (listed on the take out menu as well) together with pictures. Went for the lamb shank at $11 based on prior reviews. Tasty, tasty lamb, and a good sized portion. Came with rice and a mostly tomato salad (did take-out, so presentation may have been slightly different). There was enough to feed me and to share some with the family.

They have a bunch of other options that look good as well--lots of people went for the donairs.

It's not a large place, so expect that you'll have things to go.

Fantastic, affordable and nutritious food?,...Do not miss this place.. Wow,... Im on a bit of an ethnic food kick right now and this place is at the very top of my list.
Fantastic fairly priced food, wonderful flavours. Even the rice,... The best.
Small, well managed, friendly, family run place.

I will be gracing this establishment as often as possible even if it means driving way out of my regular commute.

Lamb Shank with Rice - Awesome. Well worth $11.

Mantu - Found the dumplings themselves ok but the lentils and stuff it came with was great, went really well with the bread. Not a snack more of a meal.

Bolanee - Comes with Spinach or Potato filling. Both tasty and came with great dipping sauces, perfect drinking snack. $8 a tad bit pricey.

Donair - Good deal. I personally would get Chicken over Beef or Lamb

AMAZING! NO JOKE!. Im not one to write reviews however I had such a wonderful experience it has to be broad casted! Its so easy to miss this place, its in a little strip mall type of setting but you have to go there! Its small but welcoming! The authenticity of the country is very well represented in the decor as well as the food. The owners are sweetest couple ever they make you feel so warm and welcome had such a great time so many laughs!!!! they make you feel as if they have known you for years! excellent customer service. The food is made right there and then as you order not pre made! like some other places I am not Afghani and this was my first time having afghani cusine they explan every dish so you know exactly what you are getting THE DONAIRS ARE TO DIE FOR! I had a "regular" and man was it filling! I had everything else to go! and while you wait for your food your not bored! great music is always playing! This is one place that I will be a "regular" at! trust me you will not be disappointed! Oh and even though it says "Afghan Bakery" Its also fast food! Wait almost forgot the mention that they make freash Afghani Bread! Wow so much in such a little place!!!

I STRONGLY SAY IF YOUR HUNGRY GO HERE!!!!!!!!

Great food! Will deinitely return. Is easy to miss as you pass by but worth the visit.
