Review The Fish Net - Surrey

Fish was small portion and very oily, however was good (we had the cod). Prawns again very nice but really oily, as were the Calamaris. Not bad as takeaways go, but will probably not be first choice next time around

We had fish and chips from this restaurant. The fish batter was not cooked through and there was so much grease in the batter you could press into it and it would drip out. The fries were the same. The meal was bland and disappointing. It was over priced to top it off. I would avoid this place. I hope the owner can do a better job.

Had the halibut fish and chips and worst taste, gave us cold and old fish fries in grease. Don't eat here, there are other stores nearby.

The fish and chips are very good. Never an upset stomach with these fish and chips. The grease is filtered often and the restaurant is spotless! Love this place. Unfortunate that you can't sit inside anymore except on the ice cream side of the restaurant. Huge variety of ice cream and gelato. Best ice cream on the beach.

Ice cream was inexpensive (we had 3 cones, no food). Unfortunately it also had freezer burn in it. Basically this place deals in low price rather than quality from what I could see. Not bad, but not great.

Not very good..Fish was not firm and they do not use their own Tartar sauce. They use Kraft

Fresh, made to order fish and chips. I got 1 piece cod and chips for $11. Love it and will be back again.

Absolutely no Covid-19 measures have been implemented. The owner is rude. Fish was okay but expensive. Didn't exactly scream "please come enjoy my fish again"

The best fish I ever had. Price is good and the fish is amazing!!!

Fish was ok but they dropped the ball on the sauce. I thought the fish ok but was a little dry and soggy. The fries were good. The biggest disappoint was the "kraft" tartar sauce. Skimping on the sauce is not cool. I would expect this from a greasy pub but not at the beach. Shame on you fish net... Shame on you.

Went today nice crisp fish, fresh cut fries overall good portions will be going back!!!!

Went here for dinner today for the first time. The seating was closed so it was window service only. <br/>Customer service was very poor. The fry cook was on his phone the whole time we were there talking about personal issues at a volume so loud he was interfering with the take out window orders. The window server was a bit better but not by much. <br/>The food was marginal at best. Paid $15 for 2 piece cod and fries, $3 for coleslaw (does not come with fish order). <br/>Fish pieces were ok for a meal size but too small for the $15 price tag! The fish batter was soggy and average flavour. The fries were just ok but again not an amount worthy if the price. <br/>Tartar sauce was packaged Kraft tartar sauce. I think that says it all. Any fish and chips place that uses prepackaged tartar sauce and not an original recipe is not a REAL fish and chip entity. They provide 1 tartar per piece if fish then 25 cents for each extra package. The Kraft tartar sauce was too sharp in flavour for the fish, very overpowering! <br/>The coleslaw was very basic and not exciting at all. Coleslaw dressing <br/>was very sweet and MAY BE a commercially prepared product as well. <br/>Overall the price was too high for the meal both in quantity and quality. Will not go back.
