Review Main Choice Restaurant - Surrey

Been to this place quite often before they have changed management. After pandemic started, never came or order from this place because their price had increased twice, and their food portion is getting smaller. Ordered dinner for 3 (A) is like dinner for 2 portion. Today, I went there (after 2 years) to order take out for dinner because I'm not feeling well. You know what? The foods are actually taste very good!!!! Taste is much better than the previous owner foods. I really like it! Hope their food portion, they can make it a little bigger for the price. What I can see now is their food isn't worth the price. I will come back again next time, but not as frequent because their foods' portion are too small for their price. Recommend this place.

I've driven by this place many times and never really given it a second thought. It's kind of hidden and doesn't really stand out. It just so happened, I was in the area and needed to pick up dinner. I had a craving for Chinese food and I remember this restaurant was here. It's a very nice, family run restaurant and they seem very friendly but it is not " Hong Kong Style Cuisine" as it states on their window. To be honest, this is the kind of Chinese food you would get from a stall at the food court. The chow mein and fried rice just taste like soya sauce. The sweet and sour pork was dry and chewy. Prices are fairly high and portions were small. If you enjoy the Chinese food found at the mall then this is the restaurant for you, but if you had authentic Cantonese style food, then this is a real disappointment.

One of our favorite Chinese restaurants. Staff are always friendly and food is always tastey. Prices are good. We always get take out, and they've been only take out since the pandemic hit. We were very happy they've survived through all this.

Move to the area 5 months ago and we tried a few Chinese food places, and this is where we keep going back to. We love the shrimp fried rice, it's seasoned so well. The veggies and tofu is full of fresh vegetables. We've had delivery most of the time, by a very nice, friendly man. He always chats with my son, and is very gracious. Love this place!

Order here alot cuz mom and I love Chinese food. Favorite is almond chicken and chow mein then the shop suey I love when they give me free fortune cookies and spring rolls. Glad there is something near me to enjoy when I get the craving for Chinese food 💖 👍 Yum yum!

Compared to other spots this is pretty decent. Taste and portions are fair. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but if I was craving takeout Chinese I wouldn't think twice about ordering from here again.

This waa seriously the best Chinese food I have had in a long long time. Do not judge a book by its cover at all. Service was excellent! I will be back 100% and woukd reccomend to anyone. Thanks for the amazing experience

We have come here quite a few times for food over the last year or so with no real issues but last night when we came to pick up our order that I placed online for a 5:15 pick up we had to wait until almost 5:50 for our order. Got home and the order was cold and not because it was cold outside either as it was a warmer than normal evening. Hopefully our next ordering from here is more efficient for time and for flavor.

This is our go-to place to order from. Portions are a good size, everything tastes good. We LOVE the wonton soup! They are always super pleasant on the phone and we’ve never had a messed up order.

First time ordering from Main Choice. Got the lemon chicken, s+s pork, and beef and broccoli. They were all great. I enjoyed that the sweet and sour wasn't overly saucey with the neon red sauce. Same with the lemon chicken, I didn't feel like the sauce was overpowering. Very tasty!

I ordered bbq pork fried rice, honey garlic boneless pork & beef and broccoli. So delicious!<br/>It is the most decent Chinese place around the Surrey area and has some of the cheapest prices. Their food isn't greasy either and the portions are generous.<br/>I would order in the late afternoon/early evening because the food seems the freshest at that time of day.<br/><br/>Update (2 years later): they are still fantastic! I ordered the spicy green beans and asked extra spicy and daaaaamn. So good 😩😬😍

Favorite takeout Chinese in Surrey. This is by far the best take out for Chinese food in Surrey. Great sized portions, the family owners staff are very friendly. Dinner for 4 is our favorite for adults and kids.

Singapore Style Noodles. Awesome food! Can't get enough.<br/>Nice people there too.

Wor Won Ton Soup. The most delicious soup! Fresh broccoli and loads of veg and yummy shrimp. And won ton is so good.<br/>People are very nice. I have been several times, and will be back.

Really???. Just finished a #4 combo with a side order of pepper wings.<br/>Chow mein noodles where soft to the point of mushy. Chop suey was 99% broccoli and cauliflower with no sign of book choy. Sweet sour pork was ok but the wings were very greasy. <br/>On a one to ten scale, maybe a 3!!

Affordable and Tasty. I have been ordering take-out and delivery from this establishment for a couple years. It has changed names a few times and owners twice, however, the quality of the food has remained the same. The prices have always been quite affordable and the food is always fresh and tasty. This is certainly not your high-end Chinese restaurant but can be compared to them when it comes to quality of the food.

Great Bang for your Buck!!. My family and I went to Main Choice for dinner a few nights ago. This was our first time at the restaurant. My kids are generally picky eaters so it says something when they eat their food. We ordered some simple dishes. We got the dinner for 4 which was about $41 + tax. For the price that we paid, we got a lot of food and it tasted great.<br/><br/>This restaurant offers simple and affordable Chinese food. In terms of price, very few can beat this place. In terms of quality, you don't experience a lot of grease as other Chinese restaurants. We ate in and the place is usually not busy for dine-in I assume as it is quite small. The server was polite and attentive so that was a plus considering they probably specialize in take-out.<br/><br/>We will return and I recommend anyone who is in the area to try it out.
