One of my favorite Middle Eastern restaurants in Surrey, BC and a place I invite friends and my family to all the time! The menu is outstanding, food is full of flavor and clean just like home not to mention it's special bread! I also have used the catering service that they have for dinners and sandwiches for lunch during special church events.

Entering from the parking lot adjacent to the T&T Market it is easy to miss this small access point nestled cozy in between the Sleep Country and Macs. At the time we went in the establishment was empty, this quickly changed as their regular dinner crowd showed up. My wife noticed that the table and bench were somewhat greasy and we moved over to a different table. Staff noticed and immediately came to wipe off the table explaining they were taking advantage of the slow moment to work on a large to go order. We ordered 2 of the Chicken Shawarma Wraps which come nicely wrapped in a thin tin foil like paper, my wife noted that the plates were greasy like the tables were. All I can say about the food though is that it was the best donair I have ever had. The hot sauce and seasoning of the chicken with the fresh vegetables blended into the most fabulous flavour. The staff were very personable and friendly despite being busy. We will definitely be returning to try more from their menu.
EDIT: Tried their Lamb Gyro Wrap for lunch today, it was really good. The lamb is nice and peppery and goes well with their hot sauce and dressing. Also the place was spotless this morning, so last time they had just been full of people and when we entered they hadn’t had a moment to tidy up, it’s understandable a person can only do so much at a time. For this reason I’m increasing my score to a perfect 5.
Love love love this place! Its the closest thing to “mama’s homecooked” food. I love the authenticity of the food, you wont feel guilty eating this everyday. You can tell its made fresh and the spices are heavenly, (lots and lots and lots). Staff are polite and service is superb. Definetly recommend!
This place has ridiculously good food. The shawarma is beautifully spiced and cooked. The falafel are crispy and crunchy on the outside and so soft on the inside. The lentil soup is a beautiful texture and has excellent flavour. The rice is also cooked to perfection. Great portion sizes and prices too. No complaints! All excellent!

It's a great restaurant for a quick bite, I go alone or invite friends and love chicken shawarma platter with rice, salad and humous! The big test is when I invite Arabs to dine with me and they comment on the flavors used in the lamb kabab and the special seasonings of the chicken shawarma and off course it is Halal which is an added plus to giving this restaurant a 4/5...What won my heart is the amazing catering I made with a lunch and dinner group. Great service! We all love the special home made bread they use to wrap the sandwich. Lentil soup is a must and their portions are generous. I gave the restaurant high points for the quality food and unique flavors that are different than other similar restaurants. I can't wait to go back again!

Restaurant was super clean, and the food was awesome.
The home made pita bread took it to the next level. The veggies were fresh and seasoned and all the flavor was there. So good. We have been to 3 similar places in the area now and that one by far leads them all. We will be back many times!
I wish I had a picture but my boyfriend and I were starving and just chowed down. The food was reasonably priced, there's a lot of food on a $10 plate! We were happy and full afterwards. I had the chicken plate and he had the lamb.
The chicken was very flavorful and I enjoyed the lamb my boyfriend shared with me. Our meal was very delicious and filling, it tasted like it was homemade and made with a lot of love. The place was very clean and the kitchen looked spotless. All in all, we had tasty food and a nice clean place to eat at Palmyra. It was a pleasant experience; I'll probably head back very soon!
They serve very good food for a good price. They have big portions too. I really love the chicken and lamb plate as well as their rice! and the place is very clean
This restuarant is the new kid on the block and they've earned a loyal customer as we went with Persian and Iraqi friends and all had a good dinner and fun in a clean place with good food. The chicken kebob platter for $11 was filling and many had their eyes on my plate while they ordered different items on the menu. The portions were good for my serving although their falafel plate lookes more like a child's portion and the teenagers all said their donair/shwarmas were good. It is a better place than others like Kebabji and other donair places. I've been there 2x in less than 1 week and I'd recommend it for a Meditterranean flavor that will tickle your palate with good Syrian/Lebanese style food. Give it a shot, the Mediterranean diet is far better than fast food places.....
I love this for a quick and healthy meal option, it is family run so they really care and it shows. The food is fresh and made to order, and the hummus is addictive. Mixed platters are generous and a good deal - the chicken we had was well flavoured and moist and the lamb nicely seasoned. Service is fast and friendly, too.
Quality Food at an affordable price!. Good location, Nice and large interior which is child friendly and very clean! Good amount of food choices with my fave being the chicken wrap, falafel and the freshly daily baked baklava!! So good! one of my regularly visited joints..
Fresh and Good. I kinda like how Middle Eastern food is becoming more of an option for a meal and I don't just mean the grasy donair that you eat at 4am after a night of binge drinking. Following the trend of serving ethnic food in a clean setting, Palmyra is actually a great option for a quick bite. The lamb and chicken are done well and there is more than just Tabouli and Greek alad to choose from for veg.
It does have a bit or an odd location, best bet is to park in front of the T&T and enter through the back door.

The best "Saj" flatbread that I've had anywhere.
You HAVE TO TRY Palmyra! This family business is run by Andnan and Ilhan and their son. I first noticed the place before it opened when I was out for a walk and Adnan was in the empty space renovating it. I stopped and chatted with Adnan, his enthusiasm alone told me that this labour of love was going to be great. Adnans father started in the business in Damascus and Adnan speaks fondly of working in their little place there serving tourists and locals and how important it is to him to bring that experience to us. In many ways he reminds me of my own hard working immigrant dad.
Enough of the family stuff. All that is good but the FOOD is even better. The Saj flatbread is made with love on the premises and is Ilhans pride and joy. It's soft and stretchy and doesn't fall apart in your hands like the inauthentic pita bread that so many Mediterranean places serve. The meat is moist and flavorful, the salads are fresh and crisp and the falafel is handmade from their own recipe not the frozen mass produced stuff. The premises are spotless as is the kitchen which can be seen from the counter. Palmyra takes cash, debit cards and credit cards unlike many of the nearby "cash only" places.
This honest food served by honest people, made with love and served with pride. Please support them. And no, they did't pay me for this review and no we are not related although I would be happy to be part of this great family. Canada needs more people like them.
Hands down amazing this is a recently opened restaurant so glad I got to try it I think people should know about it as there aren't many good middle Eastern restaurants in surrey but definitely give this one a try! shawarma was perfect I love the service and family feel everything was fresh and you see them do it in front of you nothing is hidden.
By far the best donair place in surrey. Great quantity and quality. Reasonable price. Clean and tidy. Best customer service. Friendly staff.

Very tasty shawerma wrap and kebab sandwiches.
It was our first time. The food was nice and clean. The guy was on his own and he served us very quick and was calm and nice. We had Lamb gyro and mix shawarma and we enjoyed it.

This place is amazing! The hummus is great and the lamb and chicken skewers are so delicious, not to mention the baklava! I was never a big fan of baklava before, but this place changed my mind. It's wonderfully flaky and not too sweet. I'm gonna be back here again soon!
Simple and down to earth place, food was simple but full of flavour, love the home made Laffa bread.
