Review Jade Valley Restaurant - Surrey

K R
We were initially deterred by the reviews but we’re so glad we decided to go anyway. Amazing quality food! Not greasy. The flavours were amazing. The ginger beef was perfectly spicy. The prices are higher than an average Chinese restaurant, but well matched for the amazing service, quality food, and overall ambiance.

Some of the best ginger beef I’ve ever had. The prices were comparable to any other place and the service was very good and attentive. The restaurant wasn’t busy at the time, it being Easter Sunday but nonetheless. The food also came out very fast as well.

Have been ordering for years from Jade Valley. Good food, reasonably priced and good size portions. This week we ordered our typical dishes, prices have increased, by average of three to five dollars per dish. Understand that this is inevitable, HOWEVER they have reduced the portion sizes by almost half Very disappointed after paying $75.00 for two people 4 dishes. Will now look at other options. To bad Jade Valley you have lost a long time customer.

I have been going to jade valley many years & their food halve always been excellent. Like another reviewer mentioned here they have increased the price which is understandable. However they have reduced the size of the portions which is disappointing. I won’t be going there anymore. With the increased price , they would have at least kept the portion sizes as it was before the increase. Not fair & poor business practice.

I decided to try a new Chinese restaurant, as the one I had been going for years not very friendly anymore , and it was quite greasy. This place has consistently provided tasty food. It seems clean inside, and the staff were nice. I always get take out.

Prices are very high. Food is ok. Can’t get food without MSG. Asked for our chow-mein to be crispy. Apparently here that means raw. Would not recommend or go back.

I have been ordering food from this restaurant for years. I have been disappointed in the past couple of years as the prices increased, but due to covid, I let it go. But they have gone too far. I ordered the dinner for 3 and at a cost of $80 barely received enough food for 2 people. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again. Sorry your loss.

At first i did not expect a lot from this restaurant because it was rated 3.9 but this is 5 star for me and my boyfriend. We ordered congee with century egg and pork..fried pork chop and friedrice and oh my god the taste is fantastic..congee has the best taste ever ...its nutty oil and the rest is unexplainable taste that is very amazing.the fried rice was just amazing its fresh and tasty and the pork chop is very soft melts in your mouth...oh boy so amazing..prize though its okey..i dont mind coming here..this will be our go to restaurant...one more thing the server are very friendly and amazing.💕💕💕

Our usual Chinese restaurant was closed and I had a craving for this type of food. So I ordered a large Wonton soup and two dinners for 1. The broth flavour and the wontons were a good texture and had good flavour as well. I have had my share of good and bad sweet and sour pork, this place knows how to make good. The chicken chow mein had almost a curry flavour to it, it still tasted good but unusual. Fried rice was good as well. I have had some places mess it up, but this was moist. Only pit fall is that I wish there was a bit more sweet and sour sauce.

My wife had another craving and her favourite Chinese place wasn’t open so tried, I think possibly her new favourite place. Service is really good with polite and friendly staff. The restaurant is very nice inside. Tables are clean, set and ready for a full house, and nicely spaced for freedom of movement while maximizing seating. We ordered 2 dinners for one and a large Wonton soup which satisfied both our hunger with left overs for dinner and was reasonably priced at $33.10 with tax.
The Wonton soup was great with a chicken broth, green onions, and broccoli. The Wontons were tasty, a good size, and tightly packed making them good and dense.
The dinner for one had a good amount of food for the price (just under $10.00) and tasted great. The sweet and sour pork was not too sweet and was perfectly cooked. The Chicken Chow-mien was seasoned with a nice curry and was also perfectly cooked. The Fried rice was tasty and the perfect texture. I will definitely be returning here.

We had been going to another Chinese restaurant in Surrey for a number of years and up until lately had always enjoyed it, we wont be going back. So, without any recommendations, we took a chance and tried the Jade Valley Restaurant last night and it was some of the best Chinese food I had ever eaten. My Wife, Brother and I, thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service staff were friendly and provided excellent service. the food was excellent and we will be ordering delivery and take out from there from now on...we will also visit there when we feel like dining out. The Ginger Beef, Orange Chicken and Squid with Spicy Salt were all excellent dishes, The Beef Lettuce wrap makes and excellent appetizer, the portions are perfect and the food is very flavourable...to thumbs up from this guy!

I have been eating Chinese food from restaurants in Surrey and Richmond since I was a kid, and Jade Valley Restaurant has always been my favorite. Very clean and amazing food. Their ginger beef and honey garlic chicken are my personal favorites - portions are good and the taste is always delicious and fresh. Best Chinese restaurant in Surrey hands down

I just went to this jade valley Chinese restaurant and ordered two take out dishes. One is almond chicken and salt pepper deep fried squid. I was really disappointed by the portion of both dish. I paid $27 dollar not include tips and the food I got from the restaurant looks like from food court or worst. I can't believe they even got a good review from romato. I hope the owner will see my review and start put out proper portion according to the price they charged to the customer. Otherwise it's just matter of time people start to go to other Chinese restaurant.

Waited two hours for delivery on a normal Thursday (was told it would take an hour). Food is average North American Chinese. Will not return.

Best Chinese food I've ever had in all of Surrey! I love how authentic the food is :D I especially love the salt and pepper lobster! I came all the from California to try their hot and sour soup and it is bomb!!

The price is perfect for the quality of food you get! You can just taste the freshness of the food.

Come to Jade Valley if you want quality delicious food and outstanding service :)

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Surrey by far. Not over priced like The Neptune by City Center Mall. I had their chicken wings (hidden gem of an item), ginger beef, and an oyster hot pot.

I'm Chinese and it's great that my family does not need to drive all the way to Richmond to enjoy some good Chinese food.

Service is typical for a Chinese restaurant, friendly, attentive, but authentic (those who eat at a lot of chinese places will know what I mean)

Highly recommend.

This place is a gem!. Quality Chinese food in Surrey. You can tell that the food here sets apart from most places in Surrey that are Chinese. I've been looking for a place like this in Surrey just to eat great, quality, and "restaurant" style Chinese food.

Best Chinese in Guildford. Lived in Surrey since 2000 and only found this restaurant last year. I've been there more than a dozen times and have not had a bad experience. Food is good, prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly.

My son, a picky 6 year-old eater, loves the place. They accommodate him by preparing his noodles the way he likes it. My favourite dish: Hot pot beef.

Not the best. Ordered 50 dollars worth last night, after reading reviews....what a waste!
Normally order from Lee Yuens, but thought I would try and see if I could find any better, even though it is usually good. What a mistake! Lemon chicken
sauce had some weird mint flavour, chow mein was dry, no flavour, and the
BBQ pork fried rice had only tiny pieces of pork, barely noticeable.
Hot and sour soup that they apparently won some award for tasted ok, but I think they just used sweet chili sauce in it, very salty....just ok.
I would not give this a second chance.......

Best Chinese food!. I come here everytime and I absolutely love the chicken wings. Weird to think a Chinese place would do fried chicken so well. The honey garlic chicken is also a must try. Best Chinese restaurant in Surrey! Super clean and the waitresses are also very friendly. Highly recommend this place if you like good food

Good Chinese Food. This is one of the few really clean Chinese restaurants in Surrey. The food is pretty good and authentic. It doesn't come in huge portions, but the prices are very reasonable. Overall, this is a decent restaurant and I would definitely recommend!

Good food at reasonable prices. Jade Valley has turned into our "Don't feel like trying something new tonight" Chinese food place. You know that the food will be good (not exceptional, but good), and that the price will be fair. Eat-in service is always good--while they know us well, new customers seem content; take-out nets you 10% off. A few dishes are "different", but for the most part everything is fresh and tasty.

Bland. After reading good reviews we decied to try it out and was very let down. Tried the Oragne Chicken, it's OK. House Fried Rice was fine, nothing to get excited about, and the Chicken Chow Mein had NO flavour of any kind
=( The Beef and Brocoli was good but 1 dish out of 4 does NOT get my vote or my return. The search goes on for good Chinese food in Surrey. So missing Vancouver now.

The only place I go for Chinese in Surrey. Love it.

Great food. We picked up our order and everyong was just so right. Mmmmmmm I'm still thinking about the breaded lemon chicken. I think I've found my favorite Chinese food destination.
