Good food, portions have gotten much smaller and prices have gone up. Happy Hour prices now are what reg prices were a few years ago but everything has gone up. Only one server on so we only got one round of drinks as Happy hr is 2-5pm now. Over all the food was good. A little burnt on the pizza but my son ate it and he's picky. The chicken looked dried out but I didn't try it. Steak was perfectly cooked. Tuna was fresh tasting and we were all full

My friend and I ordered: • Truffle Fries • Bacon Cheddar Burger with Yam Fries • Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo with Cajun Chicken + Garlic Bread The Truffle Fries were flavourful, it had a strong flavour of black pepper and my friend and I enjoyed it. It also came with a garlic sauce and the proportion was pretty big for two people. Would recommend if you are looking for an appetizer. Rating: 8.5/10 The burger was good and flavourful and it was packed with meat and other veggies. Overall, it was pretty big. The yam fries were amazing with all sort of flavours and it was sweet and savoury. Rating: 7/10 The Chicken Alfredo was a simple pasta, would recommend if you aren't looking for a messy meal. The pasta came in a huge proportion that could probably feed two people. It had a flavour of Alfredo sauce and Parmesan throughout every bite. The cajun chicken on the side was great, it was flavourful through each bite. The garlic bread on the side was huge and fluffy, it went well with the pasta and the chicken. Rating: 8.5/10 Overall, I recommend dining in than taking out, since the services there are amazing and the staff gives off really good vibes and the food is so much better. I once took food for takeout and the experience was not as good as dining in. The staff were really friendly and constantly checked up on how the meals were going.

Went for happy hour and was very satisfied. Big menu selection and our server was very nice. Got the shrimp pasta, truffle fries, and dynamite roll. Sushi had unique flavours and ingredients. Shrimp was perfectly cooked, pasta dish was a bit dry, and truffle fries were perfectly thin and crunchy. Fries served with aioli and would have liked ketchup too. Atmosphere was pleasant and definitely would visit again!

Took my girlfriend there for her birthday today, the food and atmosphere were very nice. I had salmon +caper aioli, it was delicious. And my friend had the ahi poke bowl, and we had crab cakes for starters, boy all the meals were delicious and well prepared. We had a great time. Definitely will be going back.

We ordered: - margarita pizza - earth salad bowl - crispy chicken fingers - bread - Moscow mule - pineapple cucumber mule Occasion being pre-anniversary lunch , we booked on OpenTable & we got a booth, but nothing beyond. I wish they could’ve wished us, nevertheless. - Drinks were really good. (4/5) - Pizza was substandard, unlike any gourmet, was chewy. - Salad was really good, it had the crispy quinoa crunch to it, that tickled our taste buds Hospitality wise, the servers were really good & catered to our needs. We weren’t expecting any complimentary dessert for the occasion as we’ve eliminated sugar from our diet, but it would’ve been a ‘wow experience’, had they made a gesture of offering a sugar-free dessert for the occasion. But yes, categorically they aren’t an exquisite fine dine, so a typical casual-noisy-restobar with really good service! Damages: $$ ~120$ lunch for 2.

A place with nice deco and location where I would probably rate a 5 star ⭐️ , the one point less would probably due to my Santafe chicken salad so burn as well as the toast, sorry, I am fully aware that it was grilled and it will get pretty burn. On top of that, it was served almost at the end of my whole session. Although the management is nice enough to take care of it but again that dish was a total turn off. For its price and market rating, I was expecting little more.

Haven't been here in more than 5 years. Wow, the renos have really livened the place up. Bright open spaces and semi-circular booths at the bar area are great for get-togethers. Dishes are nicely presented, hefty portions, and perfectly done. Prawns and omelette were tender and fluffy, and the potatoes had really crispy skins. Great value for brunch items, which are discounted if you order before noon. Service was fantastic too, and made us feel very welcome. We'll be back again!

On Thursday Nov. 26/15, myself, my daughter and a friend visiting from Alberta, went to the Guilford Earls for lunch. We arrived at approx 1pm and sat ourselves in the lounge, it was not very busy maybe 6 tables in lounge area that were mostly paying and maybe 12 tables in main restaurant. We waited maybe 2 min for server to take our drink order. We ordered a raspberry margarita, bottle of bud and a Caesar it took 8 min and 37 seconds to receive drinks(too long). I'm going to give you some background on who we are, I owned a bar for 4 years and was the GM for 10 and a server for 5 years, my daughter has been a server for the past 4 years and my visiting friend is a chef. So between the three of us we have a world of experience. Once receiving our drinks the server took our food order ceasar salad, wings, chicken and wontons and shrimp gyoza. I noticed the my friends margarita was on the rocks, which I thought strange as she did not order on the rocks. She then licked the SUGAR rim only to realize it was salt. When server stopped in to check on us I asked do you no longer blend margaritas, she confirmed this had changed 6 months ago. I then pointed out the rim was salted, which she responded all margarita rims are salted. I then told her that she was incorrect and maybe she could check with bar manager, which she snottely replied I will. She never got back to us on that point. After my friend had a couple of sips of her margarita she noticed the glass was filthy and had a chip out of the rim. She immediately took to bartender showed him the chip and filth of the glass he offered to make a new one, she said that would be fine, but can you please sugar the rim not salt, he appeared confused but agreed. I than watched him take that chipped glass and place back into the glass washer to been cleaned and I'm guessing used again. We received our food 26 min 33 seconds after receiving our drinks. At this point we had realized that the mason jar style glass that my daughters caesar was in had a very large chip in the side where she could have seriously cut herself. I am now so very angry at the lack of care taken by Earls, that I ask our server to speak to a manager. The manager arrives I tell her about the chipped margarita glass, and now the chip Caesar glass, and also mention that 6 months ago I was in there establishment and witnessed a server lick a straw and put back into the drink she had taken it from and then proceeded to serve it to a customer. I told manager that I was leary coming in after the licked straw incident but thought give you a chance. She starred at my like a deer caught in the head lights, I continued to point out the two broken glasses, that one had been placed in the glass washer, and still she stared she did offer to replace the Caesar but at this point we had had enough, she did state that the margarita would be taken off bill. I also told her that the server was terrible and for what we were paying they should be better, and that her crappy service and chipped glasses, and drinks salted would be reflected in her tip. And still the manager stood and starred I was so angry at this point I instructed her to leave my table. I also informed her that I would be contacting the head office. The manager walked away and then proceeded to inform all staff that were near her about my complaint. I have spent many years in the hospitality business and I understand her frustration but next time she should not disrespect the customer where they can see her and hear her. We then tried to eat our overpriced lunch that was sub par, Caesar salad was wiilty and had a strong flavour of anchovies and no garlic, the chicken and wontons had a teaspoon of sauce and were dry, and the shrimp gyoza was baby food. The server came over, only the third time we have seen her, to attempt to apologize by exampling herself. I did not want to hear anymore excuses and asked for our bill. Which in my opinion should not have existed at this point. In closing I am guessing you will not respond to this complaint, but understand that I will make sure that every social media outlet I can contact about this disgusting experience will hear about it. Customer service should be priority, it saddens me to see places like yours continue to exist and treat people poorly. Understand the last time I had a bad experience eating out was at this location 6 mos ago. Maybe you should hire based on experience and personality. Stupid and ignorant can't be trained away. I will never return to this restaurant. You get treated very poorly. I will never recommend it to anyone, unless you enjoy being forced out of your table by staff. They were taking our plates even before we finished eating (at one point, one of our group members were literally taking a bite and the server was trying to take her plate), they were telling us that we needed to leave by a certain time (even though we had a reservation), and to add to that, it took almost an hour for our food to come to our table. The overall experience was more than disappointing.

I come to the bar with a buddy, order a drink, finish it, slid it to edge of the bar where it sat for about 12 mins, my buddy had ordered food which took nearly 15mins to get. When the bartender finally asked us how we were doing we said “ he came back with 2 drinks in tall glasses and I said to him that I would like it in a short glass, he took my previous empty glass away and poured the new drink into my old glass. I hope this isn’t the service that’s given on a daily basis

It's our first dinner at this location. The service was great but it lacks something, the table setting was boring plus our table was right beside an empty wall. When our order came, the more we became disappointed. The plating was not appealing; tastewise, their steak was really sour and the coconut prawns were dry, needs some sauce?! Overall, we did not enjoy our dinner and felt like were just in a foodcourt so we just ate what we can then packed the rest.

I came into guildford earls with 3 other girlfriends & Britt was our server. She made our earls experience perfect! She was attentive, helpful, and very nice to be around. I don't normally give reviews but this is the second time I've had her serve me and my girlfriends and we all agreed she needed special recognition. Food and drinks were great as well!

Ordered 8 oz Sirloin Steak with Prawn cost $36. Steak was over cooked even I ordered Medium rare and Prawn was food court quality ; worse presentation and is not worth the price. Service is good.

Hostess Amy was amazing. My husband's steak and accompaniments arrived hot and tasty. My full tank of BBQ ribs arrived not even lukewarm and the coleslaw was swimming in dressing. A host came by to ask about our dinner - took the ribs away to be "warmed up" and 5 five minutes later they were returned slightly warmed up. Waitress was not well trained or skilled. After supper I asked for dessert menu. Later she returned, took it off the table and kept walking. Not the brightest at customer service. No need to spend hard earned money there anymore. By the way, for the same price a few weeks before we ate at a five star restaurant downtown Vancouver (Carderos). I would drive downtown to eat a beautiful meal LONG before I ever set foot in Earls Guildford again. Eat there at your own peril.

Amazing staff, so informative and helpful. Full of great suggestions for food and drink. I would definitely go back. Walked away (bought) the classic rhino pint glass, my husband was enthralled with it.

Went today with my sister for a late lunch. We decided to share the fish & chips and I did mention that I have allergies to "mustard & shellfish"). Brittany our server was wonderful. She made sure the kitchen was aware and they did an awesome job. Thanks to Brittany & the kitchen for being so attentive. Will be back again
