Review Chili House Restaurant - Surrey

Overall food quality and taste was good. Will order again. Prices went up and portion sizes went down. I guess its because of Covid. Sweet and sour soup was meh, the chicken in it kinda smelled a bit old.

We ordered Haaji prawns for appetiser, spicy ginger garlic fish and Manchurian mixed chicken and shrimp fried rice. Everything was delicious with good serving size

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. She raves about how delicious the food was, sometimes drooling at the thought of it. So I decided to give it a try. I was not blown away by it. The chicken friend rice was cold and was greyish in colour. The chili lamb was not spicy and had one note. There was no range of flavours. If you feel like having Hakka then maybe this place is work your but I would not travel 50 min by bus, as I did, to try this place again.

Very bad experience of service and the food as well. I ordered veggie manchurian and it was old couple of days older. I take one manchurian and it was yukky. I not prefer you to visit this place. I’m not suggesting or recommending this place. Very bad food. Poor quality. I paid for the dish even but staff refused to take it from the table. So come on your risk only.

Indian style Chinese food is under rated. This place does it brilliantly. The extensive menu can be intimidating but you will always get something tasty. Especially love the phoenix prawns and the crispy beef. Fabulous food at decent prices.

Ordered chicken chowmin through door dash quick and tasty food delivered. Hats off to the restaurant cook for such a yumlicious food. Mar 30/2021 picked up Chicken Chowmin and Kung Pao Chicken both are delicious, perfectly flavorful, can't waited to go home so we ate in our car infront of the restaurant parking. Wish I can give 10 stars out of 5 stars to them. jul28/2021 another yumlicious dinner. Portions are good enough according to the price

I’ve been dining at this restaurant for over 10 years alongside my family and I’ve never had an issue. Unfortunately, this time I have never experienced such unprofessional customer service. I had ordered one chili chicken for takeout, because I’m fasting. And so I take it home to eat, and I noticed that it was the highest level of spice I’ve ever had, (even though I told them to write a note to make sure it’s mild. ) It was also extremely tough to bite and almost rubber like. I called them and it was shocking as to what they responded, the (manager or owner) really asked us how much we ate of it, which was less than half. And refused to make us a new one, even if it was just one order! They also demanded we bring that half that we didn’t eat, which was preposterous. They ALSO, told us that we would have to pay HALF of the new order that we wanted which was so wrong. I’ve never had such an unprofessional and rude complain call in my life. I had been fasting the whole day, and they made the mistake! Yet they refused to help us out. How extremely disgusting.

We order takeout here quite often and its always delicious. Personal favorites are the chicken chow mein and the ginger beef. 100% would recommend.

Great food, the staff are super nice and food came out quickly, fresh and tasty. Definitely going back again. went in to order takeout , server suggested eating in since the taste is fresher and different. Glad we took his advice

Excellent tasty food, only reason it’s not a 5 is portion size and it’s a bit expensive compare to other restaurants. But the food and quality is well worth it!!
Yes. We,re Eating Again.
Whose great idea is Chinese Indian food? Two of my favorite things become one great thing! Actually, google it some time. There is some interesting history there.I also like a restaurant web site that tells the history of the owners or chefs and the story of Edward and Lilian is worth reading. My server told me that they were both in the kitchen that evening! On this visit I tried the Sabji Curry and the Manchurian Lamb with Vegetables. Both were tasty with crispy vegetables and a bit of heat. Great with a side dish of rice. I was starting to think that everything I had eaten here came with a brown colored sauce but then I realized that I gravitate towards the Manchurian dishes. My sever explained that Manchurian is spicier while the Mongolian is sweeter. I have loved the Fish Pakora here too. So much on the menu! I will never run out of things that I want to try. Friendly and a comfortable dining room. Maybe a colorful garnish here or there would be nice!

This resturant(actually the former location same owner) taught me how to eat spicy food. The unique flavoring of the spices and sauces I have yet to find anywhere else. The new location is a bit smaller then the previous one but allows for the seating of the max number of patrons that allow the cook and wait staff to handle without sacrificing quality.
The staff are very friendly and the dishes are outstanding. This is not the generic food-court esq cuisine, and after enjoying the overwhelming amazingness of the Manchurian "crack" Chicken Chow Mein, I have had dreams of ordering take out only to wake up and find the fridge empty and have to reevaluate life choices..
I highly recommend to all and it is my first stop whenever I am in town.

Disgusting food, spent $40 and wasted it all. Deep fried banana wasn't even properly cooked, smelt like garbage. Only good thing out of what I got was the ice cream.

Great Indian Chinese fusion, love the mambo chicken and the Hakka noodles. Food has a great spice to it, but not too spicy. The combo pakora is another favourite

Super congested place for family dining! We went there for dinner on a Saturday night! Service is great but when it comes to food it's not that good! We ordered sweet and sour chicken, Hakka noodles and schezwan noodles!

This is my second time here, first time tried the hot wings but they where very hot. Good thing that was the only spicy dish. This time ordered salt pepper wings, hot & sour soup, Mongolian fish. Nice Indian Chinese fusion restaurant, good flavour.

This is one of the best Indian/Chinese cuisines out there. They were the original owners of Chili Pepper House on 96th & 128th. We are regulars for years, best service, great food. Recommend to anyone! Our favorites are Munchurian Veggie Balls, Manbo Chicken, Munchurain Chicken Chowmein, actually alot of the items are really good. The owner and staff are so welcoming, the owner will come and chit chat with you. A Definite must!

DO NOT GET THEM CONFUSED WITH Chili Pepper House on 96th - they are horrible, service and all!!

We go here so often. The food is spicy but don't let that scare you. We are never ever disappointed going here. We eat all over the lower mainland. It's hands down the best restaurant. Downtown Vancouver can't come close. The sweet and sour soup w chicken and shrimp are just ahhhhhhhh... My husband orders the squid and the salt and pepper wings. Add steamed rice and you are good to go. When people come in from out of town it's the place we take them. I'm not a fan of many Asian places this far out. They are too Caucasian for my taste. Not this place. The place is clean and the people are so kind and attentive. Thanks Chili House for opening out here!

Great service and great food. Best Chinese in Langley. Order the Hakka chicken Noodles !

Spicy Chicken Wings. Hot, crispy coating and tender inside. As with so many very hot dishes the taste precedes a burn of epic proportion. And what a beautiful unique taste. Then the burn produces a fabulous endorphin rush making a perfect start to dinner. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A COLD KINGFISHER BEER HANDY!

Excellent food. This is our "go-to" Chinese food place. We have ordered a number of different dishes here on several occasions, and most of them haven't disappointed us.I really enjoy the crispy salt & pepper wings, beef with black pepper sauce, and spicy squid. Service is very good and the owner is nice.

BEST ASIAN FUSION . . . EVER!!!!. Chili House is the BEST . . . Edward and his staff have 'done it again' . . . with this wonderful new great location in Langley . . . upscale dining . . . and the food has only Gotten Better! We frequented them in Surry at Chili Pepper House for 10 years . . . BUT this is even so much BETTER . . . and lots of new items to try . . . we are still working our way through their great and varied menu . . . and then there are the 'off menu items' as well to be explored.

We have take a lot of Friends here . . .and EVERYONE goes back and take their friends as well.

You GOTTA EAT HERE . . . the best most favorable eat out experience in the Greater Vancouver area. . . . bar none!!!
Melissa

Yum Yum. Very good indo chinese food, our food came out very fast, and the portion sizes were good.

Service was a little slow for us but the owner is very nice.

Great Neighbourhood Addition. Finally I can get great Chinese-Indian in my neighbourhood. It almost makes up for the dearth of decent Chinese in this area.

First time at this location. I've been to both the one at Scott Rd and Vancouver.
They have been open only a week. The owner was friendly and helpful. It was late so nobody else was there. As well they closed shortly after we arrived but did not rush us. I didn't even know they had closed until we left. We ordered the Hot and Sour soup as I am trying to find a good place for both Hot and Sour and Wonton Soup since I moved. I be been close to Richmond and so eat there usually. The Hot and Sour soup was excellent and they adjusted the heat for my dad who likes things a little less spicy.
The surroundings are new, clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back.
