This place is quite the establishment! I was very surprised with how clean everything was, and the restaurant itself looked modern and aesthetic. It's hard to see - it is tucked away on the side of 152 St, and we heard about the place through word of mouth! The food here is great, particularly the calamari - it is excellent here. I tend to go to New York New York more often than this place, but the calamari here beats any calamari I've ever tried. It melts in your mouth and the batter does not overpower the squid.
The service here is great. We were seated promptly and our server would often come and ask us how everything is, which is pleasant. All in all, I will be coming back here for sure!
Beautiful interior and clean establishment. I ordered the Thallasopita. Food was very tasty. Serving size is on the large side yet it went down so easily with some wine and good company. Service was excellent!

Greek Islands restaurants are family run with locations throughout the Fraser Valley (Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Surrey). Their Surrey restaurant opened about 3 years ago and I have been hooked on them ever since I tried them. They are my favourite Greek place. One of the things I love most about Greek Islands is whether you are eating in or taking out, you receive their complimentary bowl of soup. I have enjoyed every creation I have tried including chowder, cream of chicken, lentil and tonight’s offering, creamy garlic mushroom.
Always great good and service ! One of the best greek places around.

I went to Greek Islands last night for some last minute take out, no calling ahead I just walked in an ordered. I was greeted by Mike who promptly took my order and got it to the kitchen so I wouldn't have to wait so long. I had a seat at the bar and chatted with the friendly staff, ordered myself a scotch a minute or so later the bartender handed me a shot on the house which was followed by a shot of sambuca from Mike. My order was ready and they wouldn't let me pay for the scotch, talk about hospitality! They make you feel like you're right at home! I'll be back! Food was great, with big portions and the service was excellent and this place was very busy on a Friday evening.
By far one of the best greek restaurants I've been too. I've ordered take-out and eaten inside many times and am always impressed with the quality and portion sizes of my meals. I also really like that you get soup with every entree and they don't charge you to have ceaser salad instead of greek salad.
Excellent experience !! The good was great and the best customer service I ve seen in a long time. It was refreshing to see an owner take so much pride in there bussiness.

Friendly and Tasty. Overall, this was a great experience. We went with a group of five, and two of our group had rather difficult diet restrictions. Jessica, our waitress was so wonderful, patient and helpful. She even brought us a little container of the Greek dressing to take home after we raved about it! So thoughtful!! I made sure the manager knew how impressed I was with her, but she really deserves a big shout out.
Most of us ordered the September special, which is some sort of combo for only $15.99. It included soup (lentil soup - it was decent and homemade yet on the salty side) and Greek salad to start. (As I mentioned earlier, we loved the dressing)
We had the chicken souvlaki, which was one of the best any of us had had in a while. The Kalamari was delicious! It was fresh and tender, and the batter was light and crispy. My husband also had the Greek ribs in his combo. They are like dry ribs with a Greek style rub. He really liked them.
No dessert. We were stuffed!!
Hopefully this place stays for a while. We'll definitely be back soon!
Wonderful Dinner. This is a great place to have a Greek dinner. Service was excellent, very friendly waiters and even the owner stopped by to check up on us. I had the prawns Santorini, and it was the best ever. When I asked about their Greek salad dressing (their own recipe) I was delighted to hear that it is available for purchase. I bought some before leaving and am going back for more. My friends bought a container of their Caesar Salad dressing.
We all enjoyed our dinners and highly recommend this place for dinner, you won't be sorry!
Great food, good atmosphere. Just noticed this new addition to the Surrey restaurant scene and decided to try it out for my wife's birthday. It was a great experience! The decor is unpretentious, the food is terrific, the staff are super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the portions were generous. I had the chicken and prawn combo souvlaki, and from soup and salad through to the main course there wasn't a false note. The highlight though was dessert: the ek mek was just fantastic.
I hope they do well in this location, it's a welcome new restaurant to have in the area.
Late Dinner. We went there last night and had their dinner for two, what a great deal! For $46, you get an appy, two soups, two salads, and two main courses and a dessert. The Calamari was so good and tender, the soup was hot, and the Greek salad was delicious. The Chicken and Prawn Souvlaki was delicious too! Portions are huge and just right. The star of the meal was the creme brulee, it was crunchy on top and creamy. I will definitely return!! Service was excellent too.

Ordered to go, awesome service. Called at 10pm on a thursday and they were just closing but still insisted on putting my order through and having it ready in 20 mins! Got there and was greeted by my name with a huge smile and everyone was so polite and welcoming.
Ordered the full rack of bbq ribs dinner and an extra side of rice and potatoes, and it only came to 21 bucks! Insane! Its because they have their 20% off for the whole month of june for their grand opening... Works for me!
Food was good. Potatoes were awesome. Ribs were tender and yum. Only down side was that I wish it came with tzatziki for my potatoes!
All in all.. For a full rack of ribs, 2 sides of rice and potatoes, a side caesar salad, steamed veggies, pita and a bowl of their soup for 21 bucks, cant go wrong. We even had a bit of leftovers for my lunch the next day!
Cant wait to go back and dine in this time. Dying to try their kalamari and roast lamb..mmmmmm. The owner was super friendly and their staff was so welcoming.
Hope this restaurant actually stays! Everything that goes in this location closes so soon! Stay please.
Twin brothers, Gus and George Sahamis came to Canada in the '70s to bring us lucky Vancouverites some of the best Greek food I have ever had. Their sons, son in law and nephews all take part in the business.
Ordered the roasted lamp dinner plate. Server was good and attentive. Had the lentil vegetable soup as a starter which was good then came the greek salad. I was a little disappointed as the dresseing didn't seem authentic, more like out of a bottle. I was shocked when the roasted lamp was served as it was a huge portion, very tasty and wasn't dry.
This is my family's go to Greek resto in Guildford. We've been going here for years. To simple dinners, to suprise parties, to birthday dinners, etc. This review comes in the wake of the pandemic happening.
Having not dined in a resto for a couple months, the greek food craving hit hard. We called and learned that they were open for dine in. We visited on a Thursday evening. There was probably only 2 tables sat in the whole restaurant. Def a different turn around from the normal busy scene. Tables are spread apart from each other.
The service was a tiny bit slow but seemed there was only one waiter. I can't fret since these times are very different. None the less, service was still friendly and efficient.

Good service, good food. I ordered the Spartan Greek Salad, my only complaint was I wish they had used pitted olives in the salad! Really catches you off guard when you're eating a salad and crunch your teeth into an olive pit.. Someone could crack their teeth or choke. Other than that it was lovely to come here for my father's birthday. They even surprised us with a birthday treat at the end!
Very nice interiors n amazing food.
The place looks tiny from outside but its huge inside. Infact it can accomodate 50-60 people gathering. The place is available for parties as well.

Loved the Greek Platter for two. The complementary mushroom soup was delicious... THe Greek salads dressing was too. Really enjoyed our platter (only complaint was the veggies seemed like frozen veggies). Great service. Nice ambiance
Great atmosphere, filling appetizers, large portion entres, pleasant staff. The flaming saganaki was fun. We've been here before and will be back again.
Good atmosphere and great service. Staff were very nice and regularly checked in. Food left a little too be desired compared to other Greek Islands locations but was still quite good compared with other Greek restaurants.
