We had a xmas get together out in Surrey’s Central City Brew Pub during mid December. This location is conveniently located footsteps away from the Surrey Central Skytrain station. It was a group lunch so we already had reservations for lunch. It’s a rather large restaurant with much seating available. This is part of the bar area:
The pub is located right by the Surrey Central SkyTrain Station, which is very convenience for everyone. The pub has a good food and drinks. The waitresses are nice and friendly. They took orders fast and the food came fast too. Very great customer services. I have come to this pub few times with my boyfriend and his co-workers around dinner time. It's a great place to hold a small business party. MOZZARELLA CHEESE STICKS in this PUB is our favorite. Even though it's very expensive ($11.00 for 6 mozzarella cheese sticks), the taste was great and we ordered them every time. Also, this Pub has been producing its own craft beers since 2003. Having the fresh cold craft beers for dinner at Surrey Central BrewPub, it will be a great experience for you.
• Elk pizza is the best in here! Thin crust, ample amount of tomato sauce, tasty Elk meat topped fresh mozzarella makes me happy
• conveniently located near Surrey central station
• tasty & refreshing selection of beer tap
Cheap pitchers, good food, but the prices are bit steep.
The service is really good with very attentive staff. However I wish they cleaned up the loiters that hangout around the patio area.
Staff is always friendly and the service is always quick. The one thing I didn't like was their menu change. They took out one of my favourite items on the menu. Truffle fries.,.. 😞 the beer is great here!
I like this place, the burgers have gotten very pricey, last time I had a burger with fries I paid 17 for it. 13something for the burger and another 3something for a side. this is crazy! depending on the bartender they have good caesarsmissing the old menu
Great food and beer. I go here quite often as the location is convenient for meeting up with friends from Surrey/Langley. The beer is fantastic and very reasonably priced. I find the food a little pricey, but their daily specials are quite good. Their Sunday pizza special is great if you're there to watch football.
Excellent, as usual.. Have only been to the Central City Brewing Co. less than half a dozen times, but have returned because of the excellent food and great service. It's a great atmosphere as well. Would highly recommend it.
I have been going to this place for years and I can honestly say it has been progressively getting better and better. The food is amazing. Some say it's A bit over priced but I don't agree. I've been to places like cactus club etc and the food here is on par or cheaper then them and just as good if not better. The atmosphere is also very nice. Good amount of tv's, comfy seating, very high class looking. My only pet peeve is the band that comes on Friday and/or Saturday night, not really my type of music and it's so loud it's sometimes hard to have a conversation with friends at the table. I am not a huge fan of their beers(I am not really a beer guy) but I like their white ale and a few of their mixed beer cocktails. I will keep going to this place occasionally as it beats any place around it. Highly recommended.
Yummy truffle fries. Came here for a light snack before dinner. had a glass of their Pilsner beer and truffle fries. these truffle fries were amazing! the nutty taste of truffle with the shredded parmesan was such a good combo with the piping hot fries sliced to perfection! the service was excellent too!
Great Food Every Time. I dined at Central City Brew Pub several times over the summer of 2013 while living in Surrey as a working student. I never had a bad meal there. I also was there through the menu change, so please see comments below.
Most of the time, I ordered the seared tuna with the quinoa. That has to be one of Central City's best dishes. They even modified the vegetables for me after the first time I ordered, as I'm not a huge fan of peppers. I'm pretty sad they took this off the menu, as I think it was a culinary highlight.
Friends I went with got various items. Apparently the burgers are quite good there, and I think this has to do with the fact that Central City sources its ingredients very carefully.
I've also had the steak night special and oh my god is it good. Central City does meat very well, I've observed. A friend ordered the short rib off the new menu and was very impressed.
With the new menu change, I tried the Caesar Fiesta. It was pretty good - I added chicken - and I was generally pretty pleased with it. Different, but definitely good.
Having said that, I think that some of the older menu items really should have been left on. They're classics and for people who don't like change (cough, me) it's tough to lose your favourite item!
I went here earlier this week with a friend of mine looking to try something different out. Boy was I in for a surprise!
We started off with the cheese platter. Wow was that ever good, well worth the cost. They had an amazing blueberry jalapeno sauce with it.
For mains, we ordered the braised short ribs and I had their bacon cheeseburger. The ribs were the best I've ever tasted! The burger was a tad on the dry side but it was otherwise quite flavourful.
For dessert I ordered their maple bacon cheesecake. I wasn't sure how well that combination would work but it was impressive.
Being a brewpub I figured the beer would be really good so I ordered a pilsner. I was rather surprised with how hoppy it was, I had a hard time getting it down. Their beer cocktails were quite good though: I quite enjoyed a citrus one I had using white ale.
Overall, I'd enjoy coming back!
Good everything. Was meeting my baby away from my wife so couldn't do much but will be back next time and will drop some digits. Some women were curvy chubby ones but there were good ones too. Good food, good drinks women that's a pub.
Great beer, great food. My wife and I love this place. We discovered it three months ago, and we have returned often, including bringing several guests from out of town. The craft beer is delicious and caters to a wide variety of tastes. The service has always been prompt and friendly, and the servers are knowledgeable about the menu and the beers on offer. The food tastes great (I personally enjoy the pulled pork sandwich and the Central burger). They make all of their buns and fries from scratch, and they taste delicious. The owners clearly value quality - both the beer and food menus are excellent.
This is one of the best restaurants in the Central City area. I most definitely recommend it.
Good Experience, Need More Customers. This is a really nicely decorated and setup restaurant in the budding
Surrey Central district overshadowed by a marvelous SFU Surrey Campus.
The varieties of beer here are fantastic and with a different special
every day of the week there is something for everyone to enjoy here.
While I haven’t tried a lot of the food, I did have the opportunity to have
some Pizza ($10 on Sundays) from their new menu. The pizzas were massive
and honestly two people can share one. The choices were amazingly unique
from Bison pepperoni to Alfredo bacon with fried egg, Sounds weird right.
Overall this was a great experience the food is very good (at least the
pizza anyways).
The restaurant however was not busy at all for a long weekend, maybe 1⁄4
Capacity which was disappointing. I did notice that they are having some
Performances throughout the month of September with different bands from
Reggae to rock so hopefully this will have a positive effect on their clientele.
Average Brew Pub. Nothing much to not here. Quality is inconsistent, but there are still a few entrees that will draw me back from time to time. Namely the pulled pork and short rib sandwich. Both of which are much better than say, Cactus Club. Decent service and a wide variety make this place a better choice than most chain restaurants.
Delicious!. My mother and I went there for lunch when I got a coupon from surrey.com. My mom ordered the Chicken Club and said it was the best she ever had. I ordered the quinoa salad and was scraping my bowl for every last bit. The quinoa was cooked perfectly and the ingredients were very fresh. I would definitely come back!
Went in on a Sunday and ordered banana bread french toast! It was amazing! 4 thick slices of bread deliciously moist on the inside and crispy on the outside! Well done!
Top Notch. The food here is great. They have craft beer brewed on site. They also give back to the local community by sponsoring events. I love this place!
Consistanly amazing food and service, my favorite place in Surrey!
Yeah. Pretty waitress in a hawt skirt, brew on tap and fresh, sausage, burgers and pizza, screen and loadsa parking. Hard to pick up girls though cause few unattached so dont leave your wife at home I guess.
A solid brew-pub. I'm surprised that a somewhat posh place like this, doing a good job with food and brew in a big mall, hasn't gotten more write-ups. Contrary to the review slagging the chicken, my wife and I have eaten there several times (she's a fiend for Bed, Bath and Beyond at the mall, and I'll accompany her on shopping trips because I can wheedle a meal at Central City.)
I haven't found the service to be slovenly. The pizzas are pleasing -- not gourmet extraordinaire, but not risible, either -- and I like their mussels. Decor is plush for a sports bar -- lots of comfy booths, plenty of TVs tuned to whatever games are in season. It's a bit of a hike to reach from within the mall, but easy access from the Skytrain station. Once you get there, there's lots of fresh beer to choose from! What's not to like?
My only knockback is that Central City should sell T-shirts based on its beer labels, but that's just a personal quirk because I have a collection of those things that I like to wear. Marketing opportunity, mates!
Last night my guy and I ventured off to The Central City Brew Pub for dinner. This particular night was one of the best nights I have ever had there not only because it's a great pub but it was extra special because I got engaged as well!!! The reason it
