Nice small place. The owner & server are friendly. I've only tried wonton soup at this place. And so far I like it, it tastes good and is cheap.
Awesome breakfast. Visited the Prairie Cafe for breakfast on Father's Day. The place was packed and we got the last table. A line up started shortly after. Service for 3 omelets was fast, the portions big and food delicious. Run by a family gives one the feeling of eating in your own home. Even saw a some neighbors. Very quaint. Definitely going back.
Chinese family owned for years, this place is the go-to all day breakfast in Surrey. When I want something not too heavy, comforting, and cheap, this is what I think of. The look of the outside isn't too appealing but once you're inside, you feel right at home.. in a Korean/Chinese home that is. Aside from breakfast, they've got all sorts of Asian dishes from Bulgogi to Chicken Teriyaki.
Never noticed this place in the time I've driven around this area but, definitely a good experience going here for the first time. Fairly small cafe, clean friendly staff and very reasonable prices.
Had the meat lover's omelette, wonton noodle bowl, chicken teriyaki and side of pancakes. All the items were really good. Hash was really crispy, chicken in the teriyaki was really tender and right amount of flavor, wontons and noodles pretty good as well. Pancakes were one of the better ones we've had too. Surprisingly, my favorite was these two grapes that came with the dish, probably the best two pieces of grapes I've ever had. It's weird but, I'll definitely be asking for more next time.
Unfortunate I'll only be able to come back on the weekends but, definitely coming back!
When you're looking for a no fuss cheap eats meal, this unassuming restaurant in Surrey, that you've probably passed by without so much as a look, is worth checking out!
Friendly service, down home cooking, 90s prices!
Do judge a book by it's cover, this place will keep you coming back!

My boyfriend said it was the best french toaste he's ever had. My chicken clubhouse was okay but the amount of meat was small compared to the sandwhich. The atomosphere was awkward since we were the only one's dining on a weekday morning. Would come back for good food and good value
Off the bat the inside is nothing to right home about. It’s clean and has good natural lighting buuuut that’s all the positive things I could say. If anything is it has that hole In the wall vibe that is reminiscent of my childhood. But as you know if it’s a hole in the wall and the establishment has been around for decades, you know that people are coming here for the food. I had the number 4 and the pancakes were really good. The eggs are good, the sausage and ham was decent. The bacon wasn’t the greatest and the hashbrown was very disappointing. The reason why I still gave this a 4 star is because the price is very reasonable so I was still happy. This is a place I would come to if I wanted a breakfast sub $9 which there are not a lot of places in the lower mainland that have this. If you like hole in the wall spots I recommend giving this place a try.

My friend had the French toast with bacon and he says the French toast was really good and it was only $7!
Generous portions, fast service for one man himself and his wife cooking. Food is delicious as always.
The place has great reviews and it didn't disappoint. It's a great value and tasty.
I had the two egg combo with bacon, hash and toast.
My friend had the two eggs combo with bacon, sausage, pancakes. She doesn't eat pork so we did some mix and match.
I liked everything except that they were not very accommodating with no pork substitute options.
If you're good with the standard options, you'll be happy.
It's a hole in the wall restaurant with extremely reasonable prices. Very casual interior, looks a bit unfinished. The breakfast food tastes good and standard, nothing amazing. I'll come again
Excellent value and service at this family run diner, same place same name since 1949. The food is good but nothing really fancy; most importantly portions are great and prices are great. Please support your local honest family businesses like this one; a gem!
