Review Sushi Mori - Surrey

One of the best sushi I ever had. I had crazy love combo. The deep fried crazy girl roll was fried crispy with right amount of sauce. Not overly salty to my Asian taste. The Surrey store opens half an hour longer than others in the area. Was very convenient. Food was prepared fast, got it within 15 mins before closing. Price was reasonable.

Coming from the Seattle area, where we have a lot of good Sushi/ Teryaki restaurants… this place is tasty and quick. They have a huge selection of sushi, rolls, and sashimi and all of it seems fresh. My favorite dishes the Teryaki Don, gyoza, and the prawn tempura. The ambience is incredible with the giant cherry blossom tree in the middle.

First time visiting here. The place had a pretty cool vibe inside. The menu had a large selection and everything we ordered was great. The price point here is definitely a little more then most Sushi places especially when it comes to the speciality rolls but I feel it was worth it.

Japanese traditional sushi with an incredible staff and the most adorable, unbelievable atmosphere! This is an absolute must try! Incredible food, delightful staff and top notch service.

Hands down one of the best places to eat sushi if you are in the area. Large open plan seating area with large (faux) cherry blossom trees and very tasteful lighting which adds plenty to the ambience of the place. Courteous staff and great food. I tried their oven baked cheese lovers sushi roll and mango tuna avocado roll, both of which were fresh and tasteful. Will be coming back more often for sure.

Update, after a year, price is still high but the quality has gone down with the fish here. Salmon was not fresh and sliced extremely thin but not in the quality Japanese way. Lol so definitely not because they want it to taste better. The new York roll with tuna also turned into a joke, the rolls are now loose and barely had any tuna. Refer to the new photos I added. Very different than before! Also the miso soup was sooooo salty and the bowl was tiny... Seriously, how hard is it to maintain a miso soup and use a miso in soup bowl instead of a rice bowl. It's a core item for a Japanese restaurant!!! Quite disappointed 😞, hope it was just because it is Wednesday and the cooks were not feeling it.. lol Service was nice as usual though so keeping the 2 star. ---- a year ago? Yum menu! Large environment, good covid safety. Fresh salmon sashimi, love the creamy beef udon.

This restaurant it was one of my favorite places to eat sushi. There is another sushi Mori in Coquitlam. But this one In South Surrey the service was sucks. We ordered just 4 sushi rolls, 1 Miso soup, 1 Gomae and Pop. First the place was empty 3-4 tables (with 2 people each) it took more than 35 min to bring the food. Already 3 tables leave and 2 move tables come in. This 2 tables get they food before mine.. On top of this it was like 6 waiters. Come on guys this is the way to lose a customer.

5 stars for environment, such a cute higher end Sushi place. The variety in the menu was astounding, it made it hard to choose. If I had one minor complaint in was that the Chicken Don wasn’t the best I’ve had, not the worst… it was just okay. But you don’t go to a Sushi place for the Chicken & Rice….. The sushi however was amazing! Plus the Brown Rice option in the Sushi Rolls is a great healthy option. Definitely our new go to place for Sushi.
