Exceptional food and service with excellent ambiance! Tastiest Caribbean food on the West Coast! Clean warm and friendly with a great menu and selection of Caribbean soft drinks beers and liquor, it's a great place to come and relax and you can even bring the whole family! If your in the Vancouver area you're crazy if you haven't checked this little gem out, it's a must visit.

Service awesome. Thank you for an amazing dinner and experience. We will be back 10 out of 10.

Long time business owner and fan of Downtown Surrey ( Formerly known as Whalley ). Myself and 3 friends went for dinner at Di Reggae Café. I have to say that it was an awesome experience, everyone really enjoyed their dinners. We had a really attentive waitress who really went that extra mile to make sure everyone had a good experience. Reggie's skills as a chef was very apparent. Very tasty, and a perfect blend of spices making it hot but not too hot. We will be back, and I totally recommend this venue for everyone that would like to experience a true Jamaican food experience.

The service was fantastic. We visited from Atlanta, Ga and were warmly welcomed by our hostess. The oxtails I got were absolutely delicious. I should have ordered a large ...it was too good

I’ve seen Di Reggae Cafe pop up on my zomato list of restaurants nearby but i shied away because of the small menu. I happened to walk by with some time to kill so I decided to take a peek and try out some Jamaican patties.

I’m SO glad I came in-the woman behind the counter was sooooo nice and was patient with my indecisiveness and questions about the different types of patties they had ready made. It was impressive that they had spicy beef, chicken, veggie and vegan patty options! I was surprised to see that they had a nice variety on their chalkboard menu too and so much space inside-this zomato profile is so outdated and does not do it justice.

I had the beef and veggie patties and me and my kids enjoyed every last bite!

This place is a super cool hidden gem with super friendly and enthusiastic staff in a shady neighbourhood that hosts several musical guests including a local reggae band and are lgbt 🏳️‍🌈 friendly. I can’t wait to return for a full meal and to enjoy some live music and drinks!

In the less than spiffy area around 108th and King George, there are surprisingly some interesting international noshing choices for the hungry citizen. Most recently, we made it to Di Reggae and enjoyed some Caribbean cuisine. Di Reggae is an informal mix, to say the least, of mismatched tables and chairs and plants and Bob Marley posters and it feels warm and homey! We sat on a couple of squeaky chairs at a table with a map of Jamaica, reveled in the music and the friendly manner of our hostess. We started with a requisite Jamaican Patty. This one was chicken, not too stuffed with filling but there was a bit of spice to it. The pastry was wonderfully flaky. We also enjoyed some Deep Fried Plantain Chips. I was expecting something crispier but these were on the meaty side and tasty. They were served with an nice house dressing that was along the lines of honey-mustard and a Caribbean style Scotch Bonnet Pepper sauce. This pepper sauce was of the blow-your-fool-head-off if you're not careful variety. For main courses, we had the Ackee and Saltfish and their braise of Oxtail. The saltfish (cod) is soaked overnight to remove the salt before being cooked with Ackee, which is a fruit that reminded me a little bit of jackfruit. It was a subtly flavoured dish that we both enjoyed. The oxtail was  amazing. Tender and rich with potatoes and dumplings. Very Nice! Both entrees were accompanied by rice and peas, salad and a deep fried bun.  There is a lot on the calendar at Di Reggae. You can check their website to see when they have live music and even comedians and other fun sounding events. Decent pricing and lots of other menu choices including curries, rotis and various jerk dishes as you might expect. Park where you can see your car and then enjoy the warm atmosphere and tasty food at Di Reggae.

Awesome Jamaican restaurant! Had the jerk pork with rice and fried plantains along with a couple beef and chicken patties. Highly recommend the jerk pork. The meat falls off of the bone and just pops with flavor. Really tender and delicious. I would not have thought that I would like the fried plantains but, its a nice treat for this dish. Adds a nice sweetness. Jamaican patties were great. Love the flaky dough they used and the filling was awesome too. Definitely coming back to try their other dishes in the future!

I love to explore different cuisine as am a foodie. This time I saw this Jamaican restaurant and thought of having food here. It's a small Cafe but the food is very tasty and authentic 😋. We ordered everything veg. The veggie patty then Roti which comes with veggies inside and the size is large. It is a good portion for one person. Then we ordered veggie curry which comes with rice and beans which was also very tasty. The spice is very mild but you don't need more spice to that flavor. However, if you want it spicy ask for their hot sauce it can make you fly high 😉. Wonderful service. I would come back and try some other dishes on their menu for sure.

So happy I finally tried Di Reggae Cafe! I was pleasantly surprised to see every classic Jamaican dish on their menu. I tried the ackee & salt fish, and although slightly different every where you go, the flavour and texture was spot on. Not too tender (a lot of places over cook it), it was just perfect! I will definitely be back to try their other dishes. Bless

Delicious food and atmosphere! Everything we ordered, we loved. It was a bit difficult to navigate to the side one-way street the restaurant is on, but there is parking out front. It looks like they sometimes have live music, which would be nice. We went late on a Wednesday night, but we were still able to order a full meal. Would eat here again.

The food and service were great. Ms. Chin got everyone's order right. We had a group of 7. I had the oxtail curry and it was full of flavour and the oxtail was tender. The only downside was that the temperature of the food was not hot and just warmed up. It comes with a really yummy macaroni salad, rice with sauce, and cornbread. The cornbread is nice and moist and flavorful. I also tried the rum cake. It was OK, but not something I would order again. Also, this restaurant closes at 7:00 pm on weeknights and Google won't update their hours. Refer to their website for their current hours.

Loved the food. Bought a jerk pork for myself and ackee and saltfish for my friend and the meals were good. But coming from Toronto, the portion size and price are not good. Take way you can get out here in Vancouver. And in typical Jamaican restaurant fashion, ask for something (that time it was cooked food) and likely 'me nah have that.' Went back for the first time in years and had a curry goat roti, did not disappoint.
