Had my cousin's birthday party here. Staff was awesome, and the $7.95 menu was excellent! Pumped her full of Red Dragons all night. Everyone had a blast. Thanks Edith + Arthur!

First time eating here and was very happy with the food and service. The prices are exceptional too. I will definitely be back hopefully during happy hour next time!

A lovely cozy place. It really has that local pub feel, but the food is nothing like what you'd get at just any pub. Each dish is phenomenally well crafted; beautiful, fresh, ingredients and great, rich flavours. I highly recommend the Loaded Burger, the Fish Tacos, and the Truffle Fries!

Good food and decent menu selection! Good cocktails and beer selection! Friendly staff and good service!

Its quiet classic and nice place for any celebration and they will host any body on the way you need, i love it .

What happened to this place? Their food menu used to be very good quality food and the last time I ate there everything had changed. Their menu is different and everything is $8. The meal I had was 100% microwaved. It was awful. I could have made a better meal from a frozen dinner. I'm giving it two stars instead of one because the only thing they still have going for them is the location and restaurant vibe (fireplace and dark wood all over). I hope they realize they had a good thing going and messed it all up now... Time to bring the old Edith back!

The service was pleasant. Nice atmosphere. My orange juice was conservatively 65% ice. Asked for soft eggs for my eggs Benedict. One was soft, the other was cooked through. Sourdough toast buttered with unsalted butter. Home fries were delicious. Parmesan truffle fries were okay, the Pepsi I got with them was flat. Maybe my mistake is trying to have food there without being drunk?

Went here once and the cost for drinks was on par but the price for food was out to lunch. Small portions, hefty price = not coming again. Every dish I saw come out of the kitchen wasn’t impressive at all

Took my family out here last nite. Not sure if they were short staffed! Service was very poor and diappointing specially because it was not that busy! Took for ever for a server to approach us. Once we ordered out drinks they did come quicky. We ordered some nachos , They arrived almost 35- 40 minutes later, they were cold and and cheese was all dried up. Very dissappointed. Yes, the waitress did replace them with warm ones. Was shocked she would serve them to us cold the first time. My family was very hungry ! Ended up in Whitespot Restaurant to have the rest of out meal.

The food is nothing special but the service was below average. I will not be returning anytime soon. The experience left a lot to be desired. We requested our bill and then had to wait 1/2 an hour to get it.. slow slow slow.

First time eating at a public house, and I thought that the food was exceptionally good. With their great vary of options, it was a tad difficult to decide on what to order. Their sandwich and burger section attracted me most and I ended up getting their chicken and waffle sandwich. Waffle was light and fluffy but still had good structural integrity. The chicken was crisp and tasted great accompanied by the waffle and the sauce on the side. Great place to come and relax with some friends.

An absolutely terrible restaurant experience!Went on a Sunday night for a fund raiser...fair enough. No parking, short staffed and barely edible food does not even begin to describe this so-called "pub".I would not recommend this experience on my worst enemy,it was THAT painful! To expect people to wait over half an hour for a drink and over a WHOLE hour for their food is absolutely unacceptable.JRG,you should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing this to happen....AND for allowing your staff to blame it all on "managements decision" NOT to bring in more staff for a busy night!Myself and the 60 other people who were there for this debacle will certainly never return and will no doubt tell a host of other people of our "experience" at this fine establishment!

Some friends and I went to Edith & Arthur for dinner this week. I can not sing their praises enough. With all the bad reviews I thought it time to give them a great one.
All the meals that we ordered were decent. The wine came quickly and the meals once ordered did not take any time what-so-ever.
Our server was very, very efficient. She was over a number of times to make sure we had all that was needed. Great job Aly.
I know we will all be back and hope that more people start giving them the credit they deserve.

Honesty never been treated this badly in my life.
Me and my friend arrived and ordered a few drinks. Near finishing our drinks I got an urgent phone call and we had to leave... Also When our waitress (small young girl with black hair) brought our drinks she slammed then down on the table and just walked away...
So I waited and put my credit card on the table so our waitress would see... This other waitress came around and saw and asked us if we would like our bill, which I responded with " yes thank you so much" so she told our waitress we wanted to pay our bills and she came back about 10 minutes after the other waitress came. Not only that but after delivering our drinks she never even came back to ask us, and I know she knew we were ready to leave that's why I can't understand why she was ignoring us? She finally came back, never even asked if we needed separate bills (which we did) printed the one bill out, put it on the table, tapped it twice and walked away and tended to about 3 other people before getting back at us ( I was watching her the whole time this took about 15 minutes ) by this time I was getting pretty frustrated so when she finally came back I said " do you really think that's a way to treat someone?" And she freaked out at me and yelled at me, she literally wanted to fight with me, she's one of the craziest people I've ever met in my life. Then she walked to the bar tenders (God knows what she said) and the two bartenders looked at me... when she still wouldn't let me pay I told her "look I just wanna pay and never come back again" she said (oh don't worry about it you will never be back again) then shoved the machine into me. When we left she ran out behind us to the bouncers and told them " never let that girl back in again she's crazy" which I also heard the bouncers yell things at us as we were walking away... So unprofessional. (holy crap girl you really are on some kind of weird power trip) worst experience coming from someone who has been to a lot of different places... When I handed back the machine to her I told her she should really learn how to treat people, but people like that will never understand anyways... I don't suggest anyone there, not recommended!

I don't know why this has such a low rating, as every time my boyfriend and I come here the food never disappoints! Maybe people just hate that they over took the former pub that used to be there. Sometimes the service can be slow, but when we receive our food it's always worth the wait. The drinks are good, and everyone is always friendly.

If you order one thing here, make sure it's the Chicken and Waffle sandwich. Huge piece of chicken that extends past the waffles ensuring you get crispy, juicy chicken with every bite. I always substitute fries with a bowl of their mushroom soup. It's filled with hearty mushrooms and flavour but not too heavy with cream. If you're up to the challenge, order a townholla burger - it's huge and comes with a pound of fries!

We've heard service here can be hit or miss but we've been pretty fortunate to have friendly staff serve us each time we've visited.

{{ TIP }} We highly recommend signing up for their mailing list.. they'll send you a birthday email you can redeem for a free entree and if you celebrate an anniversary, they'll give you a free dessert and a bottle of champagne!

Very rude staff. For the sous chef dan, I have no words left for the way you handle your kitchen staff. How unprofessional.

Decent food, bad service. Went with a few girlfriends and service was slow. We were clearly there for a few drinks and after our meals the server asked us to pay as she was "going home ". I disliked this as we were obviously intending on staying and the server was being unprofessional and selfish but, we obliged. We were then left with a dirty table and absolutely no service for close to 20 minutes. Wings were greasy too but the goat cheese/beet salad was awesome. Crappy service mixed with the worst parking lot in history will result in a loss of business, mine in particular.

Rude DJ!. My 3rd time coming to Edith's. Had good previous experiences but the 3rd time killed it. I was there with a group of girlfriends yesterday mar 14. Don't get me wrong. They have good food & wonderful staff. But they DJ they had last night was just plain rude. I requested a song and he refused to play it. Yes I was ok with him not playing the song but how he responded was awful. He was so rude and arrogant. I don't think I will come back because of this. I hope next time they pick better DJs.. Like friendlier ones.. I'm so turned off by this. I will be at the Henry's thank you!

I think our waitress today is a manager, she's served me before, not engaging slow with drinks, asked for bill been waiting for a while, if I was a jerk I would have walked out... Other issues to today but didn't feel like waisting my time writing about it... No tip today.. Last time I did that it was amaising how the service improved the next time

Worst ever!. This place is horrible! Went in tonight for dinner and the service was ridiculous!! Yes, it was busy but seriously... My friends waited 40 minutes for their food and when myself and 2 my other friends ordered it took 25 minutes which would have been fine but I never received my food. When the server came by to see how things were I told her I never got my order so she went to check on it and 15 minutes later what appeared to by the manager came by to tell me that they were very busy that night and that they were all out of what I had ordered. I ordered almost 45 minutes ago and they are just realizing now that they don't have it?! What the? At this point I didn't have time to eat because I couldn't wait another 25 minutes for food. Terrible service!! Why does it take so long for them to realize they are out of something on the menu?! When the manager did come over to tell me about my ordered she did offer for my food to be on the house but I had no time. The server then never came for refills and when she did offer and take the glass away she never brought it back. After about 15 she came back to the table to clear the dinner plates and offered more pop again at which point I told her we never got the pop the first time she took it to refill and then asked for the bill. When she brought the bill and still no drink refill my boyfriend got angry and asked for the manager to come over because of everything that had happened. The manager never came!! We waited 10 mins. The server finally came back over and said that the manager had taken care of the one food item on my boyfriends bill. The manager still never came over. After everything I guess there was time for me to order something again but after all that why would I want to?!

I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was awful.

Excellent pub. It 's the place to be on a cold day, with it's two fireplaces and great food., ($4 for a free range egg breakfast, with perfect bacon, and marble rye toast) served with class by efficient and attractive waitresses. I have also had their chicken pot pie, with house beer, which was a great way to finish the day after work. Pie was served hot, and promptly, and it was tasty. Their house beer is great, and is about $5.
Daily deals on drinks too, for i.e. $4 Caesars on Sundays.
They also have 5 or so TV screens, with one about 8 feet with a projector lamp, but has good clarity.

Slow service with bland food. I was so excited when I found out Joseph Richards Group bought Fleetwood arms since I really enjoy the menu they have. I went on a first date and the service was horrible. It took me 10-15mins for a server to ask for drinks and then the server said one of the chefs called in sick so the food wait is a bit longer than normal. I didn’t think much about it but it honestly took us almost an hour and a half to receive are food which was really tasteless and I was far from impressed. I have heard from a number other people the service is always like this so don’t waste your time for paying for overpriced food that takes way too long to get. Very disappointed especially since I have lived in the area for 20 years and I will never be going back, especially on a date!!

Opinion Changed!. A few days ago I wrote a review on Edith and Arthur Public House. I received an email back from Jessica apologizing for the unfortunate experience and explaining in detail why at the moment minors are not allowed inside. I did appreciate this. The next day to be fair I returned with my husband to give it another try. First off our waitress Monique was excellent and super friendly! I ordered the fully loaded burger with a poutine. It was hands down the best burger I have EVER had in my life. My husband had the cheddar and bacon stuffed burger with a poutine and also really enjoyed that. We then each had their sac of doughnuts. We each we able to use our gift certificates. After finishing my burger I approached the manager Brett (same manager as the day before) and shared with him how much we enjoyed the food, decor, great warm atmosphere, service, and friendly waitress. Brett also made us feel very welcome. I will be referring my friends to this pub and returning a lot more myself. As a matter of fact Saturday is my birthday and I intend to have my dinner there!

-----14 Jul, 2014-----

Disappointing!. I had received a $25 gift certificate for this pub, so I was very excited to go there for the first time. I had looked online and the menu sounded great, however when I went there with my friend and daughter I could not believe the service. First off the server was not very friendly. As soon as my daughter came in to join us she was asked for ID right away. She explained to the server that she was 18 years old but was only there for supper and not to have alcohol. Then the server proceeded to tell us that she could not be in the pub because she is under 19. The laws in BC changed recently allowing people under the age of 19 to be inside of pubs. Also nowhere that we noticed does it say "no minors allowed".. We explained all this to the waitress and the response was "ever since I worked here it has been this way and I have not heard of such a thing". I then asked to speak to the manager. He came over and was very friendly and told us that they do not allow minors as they mainly serve alcohol at this establishment and that they do not fall under the new BC liquor laws "unless I heard this wrong" and that there are many subsections which this falls under. I asked if we could then sit on the patio (as this has been a rule always that minors could sit on a patio at a pub) and again it was said that this also was not allowed. I then asked if we were expected to pay for the 2 pops we had ordered and not even finished and the manager said "no don't worry about it". So we left and I must say the experience in total was a very disappointing! Also I was reading that at Micky's Public House also owned by JR Group states that kids are now welcome since June 30th, 2014. Really would love to feel better about this situation so I can give it a shot and write a better review!

TERRIBLE SERVERS! Went with a friend this past Saturday for the breakfast special, waited over 20 minutes at our table without any service whatsoever. No menus, no drink orders, no acknowledgement. It would be somewhat understandable if they were busy but that was not the case. As we got up to leave the group next to us said they had been waiting even longer before having to go find a server for themselves. There are so many other pubs in the area, don't waste your time here. We went to Baselines up the road got menus within seconds of sitting down and drinks shortly after.

Big fan of the old Fleetwood Arms. Went here a few weekends ago on a Saturday night only to be dissapointed by the new atmosphere. Definitely going for the "club" & "dancing" feel on weekend late nights with quite the young crowd. Felt almost like something out of the twilight zone. Thankfully, weekdays earlier in the day it still has the old vibe.

Food is nothing amazing but nothing terrible. You get what you pay for. As it's pub food you can't really do much wrong.

Best part is the new beer selection! If you love Innis & Gunn or other British brews, this great has a good selection on tap! Definitely worth checking out for that alone.

Horrible manager. Ive been going to edith n arthur since it opened up! love the food and atmosphere. i wanted to go their for my bday so called to make reservations..the lady on the phone was nice and told me on friday nights they dont take resos after 630pm..we still ended up going fri night and were told 30min wait at 8pm..we waited and 30mins passed so i followed up with the manager at front and he said another 30mins..at this point we wanted to sit and order our drinks and food...i asked the manager a male whose name started with a J..if we could even sit outside as it was empty at the deck, he told me he has a party of 20ppl coming..i was shocked and told him when i called cpl days prior i was told u guys dont take friday night reservations..that manager walked away and totally ignored me! We ended up going to browns on 152nd and were treated greatly with the staff their even got complimentary shots as we told them what happened with us at edith n arthur!!! I will never go back their and would rather continue going to townhall public house in south surrey..which is the same company as edith n arthur!

Worst service ever this is the second time we have come in and left because the waitresses do not help you. Never going back...

There is not much choice for a vegetarian. Throw a veggie burger on the menu!

4 of us went ther around 0630 for drinks and dinner, and excellent all around. Food taste, piping hot, and service.

Neighbourhood Gem!. We've been to E & A a number of times now since it's been revamped. It's gotten better each time so I think the little wrinkles have been ironed out. The waitresses are attentive and very pleasant and the food has been great. We've enjoyed the appetizers, beef dip, numerous salads, including my favorite the Beet and Arugula and Shepherds Pie. The white wine list is excellent and nice and cold. It's a great spot in the neighbourhood for a pleasant experience.

Fresh change. Edith and Arthur public house has a wonderful atmosphere, which offers so many options when it comes to menu and beverage selection. by constantly having new beer and drink specials I have never had the same thing twice yet! service was very friendly and warming. I liked how when you walk threw the front doors someone is there right away to say hi and make you feel welcomed. if you haven't tried the yellowfin tuna quinoa salad DO IT! something really different than standard pub food and really quite flavourful. they have a huge draft and craft selection as well as wine. weekdays is the perfect place to come and grab lunch or even dinner. game nights are always packed so get here early. they also have a patio which is heated and perfect for summer nights. the only negative is the parking which is very small. but if you go inside and ask any server where you should park they always have like 3 recommendations that are super close and not inconvient to park at. example-the empty lot next to the liquor store is empty and a good option. the o ther really cool thing about this place is how you can literally get so much for free. they offer this really great service of helping them better there business. if you fill out any of there comment cards they send you a free 25 dollar gift card. if you fill out your birthday or anniversary on them you get a free entrée and chamagnee!! I personally like how all the servers and managers talk to all of there tables even when it is super busy it makes you feel valued and that they really appreciate that you choose there to come and hang out. all in all I will be back again and will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

With any new restaurant or pub there will always be a month or two of growing pains till they get into full swing. They seem to have got everything under control and running smoothly. Last night we had a group of ten from work for one of their promotions . The crew have not stopped talking about how good their meals were. For the price in the 14-17 $ range for meals you can't find that kind of quality for that cheap many places in Vancouver. Chicken penne was the best some had ever had. Flat iron was to perfection and mouthwatering on every plate. I recommend the blackened. Yellowfin tuna salad is a must. Poached prawn spinach salad is just as good with a totally different twist of flavor. Burgers are huge and delicious. Side of fries seem a little small and not sure if I would go with a more thicker cut than the skinny cut fries but that's just me. Love the selections of beers. If you like the crafty hopped up beers this is the place to go. Try the fat tug. Delicious.
Night was 20 thumbs up. Thank you!!

Great Service, Great food!. I came in here with my husband about a week ago and after reading the previous reviews I was a little iffy about the whole thing but it turned out to be an amazing experience! Our server Karla was very outgoing and super friendly which made us feel totally comfortable! I ordered the Poached Prawn and my husband had ordered the Beef dip and both meals were excellent. We did however not like how we had to ask for the salt and pepper assuming it would be on the table but besides that we had no complaints! Highly recommend.

My BF and I went here last night for the second time. First time was very noisy and food took a long time to arrive. Waitress forgot all about our appetizer that we ordered. Thought we would give it a second chance. Last night's visit proved to be even worse! I ordered Caesar salad with prawns. The lettuce was DISGUSTING and brown. We also ordered chicken stir fry ... very bland, chicken was tough and tasted as though it had been reheated in the microwave. Neither the waitress or the manager seemed to care when we complained, in fact, they both agreed and thought it humourous that the dish sucked! We won't be going back ever again! We highly recommend Guildford Station Pub!

BAD BAD BAD. The atmosphere was great however the metality of the staff is horrible, nobody seemed to have any idea about the menu items i asked about. service was just OK as it seems because we did not order alcohol we did not recieve too much attention, even though it was a table of 6, but we were all driving afterwards. i thought we could go in for a nice lunch but i guess not. my friend's burger came out on a mouldy bun, my chicken in the blackened sandwhich was raw, which was sent back and somehow came out a minute later fully cooked.... can we say microwave. i brought this issue up and the server said there was nothing she can do as she fixed the problem. there was no management around as i was told they went to the store to pick up some items they had run out of. the place is nice, but the cooks are complete idiots, the servers have no knowledge of anything, it just seems like a bunch of kids with no supervision running around. this was a horrible lunch break from our hard working jobs in which we had to pay 100% for everything. i will not be returning here and im surprised half the clients don't die of food poisoning, they do not take care of their food or care how old it is to serve it, they must be strapped for cash.

Food and decor is good but the service and the time we got hour food during our lunch hour from work is way too long. It took over an hour to get the food, the kitchen was slow to fet food out and it wasnt that busy!! Manager better work on the service and kitchen end as it will drive away lunch crowd when it is so slow. Waitress was pleasant but food was taking way too long... Hope it improves cuz it can be a good spot to eat

The owners did a great job with the menu, atmosphere and decor. They screwed up when they hired servers who clearly don't know what they're doing. There's a ton of places around, why would I go to a place where I dont even get acknowledged? And I don't mean this happened only once. It's not like it was busy.. or like they were understaffed.. it was inexcusable. I could see them walking around aimlessly. I clearly had no drink or anything but it didn't occur to them that maybe I didnt come in there just to sit down? Being a server myself, I usually offer more patience. But after waiting and eventually giving up and walking out, I realized it's not worth either my time or money. I suggest they invest in servers who would create regulars, not unhappy guests who would never return.

Not a 1st Good Impression. My Husband and I had decided to go here on opening day for Brunch. There was tons of waitresses standing around and told us to pick a seat. We decided to sit near the fireplace. After 10 mins of watching the waitresses gibby gab we decided maybe they can't see us. So we sat at one of the stools. Presto!!! A waitress came. I would of thought with 5 or 6 girls standing around at least one of them would of come when we sat down the first time.

My husband and I both ordered the $4 brunch. The best part of the meal was the toast. The eggs were very brown and over cooked. The bacon was ok. The "Hash brown's tasted frozen and had that pasty taste you can get with potatoes cooked in a pan. We later found out that these are actually fresh potatoes.

Our First impression over all. Poor Service and sub-par food. We won't even get into how loud it is.
Bill Dick
AMAZING. Yes this place is loud. Yes this place is crowded. Yes there are more high tables than sit down tables. This is not a place for a quiet relaxing beer. Think of a downtown style hotspot in sleepy Fleetwood. I was a long time regular at Fleetwood Arms and welcome this change. The place now has atmosphere, an excellent choice of food, and if you like beer, there are 50+ on the menu. If you are looking to relax in a quiet environment, you may want to look elsewhere. If you want to let your hair down and party this is the place. I recommend to anyone who doesn't mind things being loud and crowded.

Just home from dinner at Edith and Arthur Public. My first time visiting and thought I would check it out on a week night. The food was good. However, very uncomfortable after a day at the office to sit on a stool at a high table. Very very crowded space. No where to put my jacket or purse. Dark. Very very loud. It is not the place to relax and visit. I will not be back! The tasty food was not worth the discomfort. I was very disappointed.

ITS NEW Give it a chance :). Haven't been there yet, but you know the first month they may be restaffing and organizing. BC daily deal is running a $10 purchase a coupon and get $20 worth of food. Coupon purchase expires next week. Good to use until June
Enjoy!

NOT Impressed. So as a frequent visitor of Fleetwood Arms I thought I'd check out this new restaurant that took over it. I went the week after their Grand Opening. Sadly, I was not impressed. I found the atmosphere very loud -- like they're trying to go for a downtown "pub/club" feel tucked away in a Fleetwood neighbourhood. I also found it to be very tight, way too many tables and not enough servers.

Service was TERRIBLE. Took a server 10min to approach our table and ask if we wanted drinks -- another 10min passed, still no drinks. Instead, a different server came to our table to take our drink orders which we informed her a server already took our order. She seemed scattered saying she's our server and asked if we wanted to order food then. So we ordered nachos and salt'n'pepper wings in case -- like the drinks, would take a century to arrive. I'm happy to report after waiting a good 25min since arriving at the table and going through 2 servers, our drinks finally arrived!

Food came out fairly quick so I'll give props for that. For $17, the nachos were just "okay". I liked the green onions and they werent skimpy with cheese/toppings but definitely think they are overpriced especially considering there was a good portion that were slightly burnt. Salt'n'pepper wings were flavourful but a little too deepfried for me, I'd rather have them baked (that's just my personal preference with wings in general).

During the midst of our appies my drink was on empty. It took our server a while to check on us -- unless you're part of a big group of people expect to be ignored. I was reading other reviews on facebook prior to going and a couple customers experienced the same thing but I went in there giving the servers the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, I have to agree with those venting customers. She went to every table around us (each having 5+ people while my table only had 3) and I had to flag her down after she was returning with drinks to those other tables otherwise she would've ignored us -- again.

All in all I would have to give my Saturday night a 3/10. Too loud, poor service and fair food. $17 for nachos and no guacamole included? Overpriced. I'll give this place a second chance by going on a weeknight but I'll never go on a Friday/Saturday night.

Tip: either get rid of some tables or hire more TRAINED servers.

Edith & Arthur Public House took over the old Fraser Arms Pub location. It’s one of the Joseph Richards Group’s many pubs south of the Fraser River, and they all have similar menus. They have definitely made some changes to the interior. It looks a lot nicer, but still very dark. Lots of TVs to watch the olympics. My friend has raved about the Fried Chicken & Waffle sandwich so I really wanted to try it. The chicken was boneless, juicy and crispy served between two fluffy waffles with some bacon, lettuce, tomato and maple butter. It was pretty good, but the waffle could have been a bit crisper. It had a good combination of sweet, savoury, and salty. We ordered it with crisp fries, and it also comes with a nice gravy too. We just finished a run, so we decided to split a salad too – we chose the Grilled Chicken Caesar. It comes with Chunked Cajun chicken breast. Our waitress warned us that it came with Blackened Chicken, and we said that was OK. Turns out I hate it lol. The s
