LOVE LOVE LOVE The Sunflower ! We visit this little, unpretentious cafe virtually every time we are at Crescent Beach for a walk during the day (they are not open in the evenings). You order your selections at the counter, with staff usually bringing the food/beverage items to your table for you, or packing things up for take-out if you wish. I've enjoyed everything from weekend brunch items to soups/sandwiches to yummy muffins and baked items - all homemade in the restaurant. The casual interior of the restaurant features beautiful, original artwork often created by local artists. The display changes as pieces are sold. There is a wonderful little area out back where you can enjoy your food outside. This place is a local fixture and usually packed, no matter what day of the week it is! It feels like the Gulf Islands arrived in the lower mainland when you visit The Sunflower :)

Came in here this past weekend for brunch. It's a cute little hole in the wall, with this awesome dining area in the back, (outdoors with picnic tables). The prices were great for what we got. The chicken panini and the half order of the breakfast omelette. Both tasting delicious, you definitely get your money's worth in cheese.

Although they are only open for breakfast and lunch, Sunflower Café serves amazing homemade meals and baked goods. Their coffee and espresso (Saltspring Coffee) and the majority of items served are organic. Many vegetarian and vegan (like Sunflower Pâté ) options are also on the menu. Walls are adorned with local artists' eclectic paintings, and the café has such an awesome warm and inviting vibe. Patrons and workers are friendly, and i

Quirky little cafe that’s very popular. Good assortment of sandwiches to choose from. I had the veggie panini which was tasty and large enough that I bought half home. The young lady behind the cash register was friendly and didn’t rush my elderly mother when she couldn’t decide what to order. They have a take-out window as well.

One of my favourite places for brunch/lunch. I visit the Sunflower every time that I'm in Crescent Beach. Their food is incredibly delicious. You can taste the difference that quality ingredients makes! Their muffins sell out quick (and for good reason!). They also have the best paninis around. Definitely pay this place a visit if you haven't been yet - it's a must!

This is my favourite breakfast and lunch spot in Cresent Beach. With good coffee and shake options combined with fantastic food and baked goods... as well as vegetarian and vegan options... it is hard to find a tastier, cool atmospheric spot on the Semiahmoo Peninsula. Don't bother trying, stop by enjoy some great food, good decor, friendly staff and interesting customers.
