My favorite place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great home cooked food! Always my go-to, great staff and atmosphere and family owned
We love eating at the Roadhouse! The food is excellent! I’ve loved everything I’ve tried!! The people are friendly and the decor is so unique! I recommend this restaurant to people all the time!
Great service! Very hospitable and friendly atmosphere and staff. The King George Burger is the greatest burger in the world! Love to bring the family here!
Overall just a great place to enjoy a meal very well run professional. We will be back again and again thank you for the wonderful food and service!!
WOW!! DElish! I had the prime rib with Yorkshire pudding, roasted veggies & scalloped potatoes ... sooo good! Comfort food at its best!
Great food, great service! How can you go wrong. Only negative is their parking lot is too small for the amount of people wanting to eat there, I guess that’s a good thing;)
Smoked Salmon Egg Bennies to die for...
I Recommend This Place to Anyone..
Well first off they were gracious to our 2 families with young kids. With children aged .5-10 we left quite a mess and made far too much noise, really why we don't get out for dinner much!
The prime rib is excellent, definitely the best place around, i take my en-laws from Japan every time they visit. It beats and out the Keg of in every way.

The best prime rib! We're coming back for more! I also loved their turkey on french bread.
Top notch breakfasts! Be prepared for a wait, but it's well worth it! Anytime I'm in White Rock, this is my go-to place! Their Benny's are delicious!
Today for lunch I had breakfast. It was a vegetarian 3 egg omelette with the usual bell peppers, onions and spinach. It also had salsa, avocado, and sour cream which I hadn't thought of as breakfast items in the past. It was marvellous...tasty, hunger satisfying, I'd even use the word refreshing. The place has the feel of a cafe and the staff are relaxed and casual while constantly busy.
Never disappoints me. The roadhouse is a local favourite. Growing up it has been local, reliable and a faithful location for great food. When we have company, this is our go to restaurant for taking them put for a nice breakfast. Caring and efficient staff, relaxed environment and always eye catching decor. Food never disappoints me the portions are generous- make sure you have room!
(Edit: signs have been removed or replaced) one thing I noticed this time around is that there's a few fairly sexist signs that are a little distracting atleast for me.
Overall a good choice for whatever you are looking for.
Hubby and I tried this place for the first time last night. As a car guy, he was in love as soon as we walked in the door. It has a great vintage feel but surprised me by also being intimate and warm. The service we recieved was phenomenol. And the best part of all was the food.
We tried the stuffed mushroom caps and they were loaded with creamy sauce..not for those who dont like rich sauces but we do :) Hubs had the stuffed yorkie which was unreal, so tender and flavorfull. I had the chicken fajita which was also incredible. The side ceasar was nothing to write home about but hey. Finally, dessert was their homemade cinnamon bun with sauce and whipped cream. Of course we were so stuffed we coud barely finish but what we did it was fantastic. Like right out of moms oven.
We cant wait to come back for brunch!

I have been going to the Roadhouse Grille in Surrey for years now. It ends up being a central spot for my family to meet at for get togethers. The style is eclectic diner, without being too over the top. They do one thing differently though that most diners. They do not have a deep fryer on premises. If you get potatoes, they will be pan fried/roasted etc but no fried-on-fried foods that we have come to know in some diners. They make most things from scratch (their signature honey salad dressing is amazing) which means creative & fresh dishes at the Roadhouse.
When you walk in...go left for a cozy retro fitted space or go right for a sleek modern dinning room. Couldn't resist going back in time to see the unique trinkets decorating the walls. Service is friendly, good portion sizes, enough variety to choose from too! Kid friendly too, make sure they explore the cave & pick a prize. Check out this blast from the past & let me know what you think!
Everything made from scratch and really friendly laid back atmosphere. First time going for dinner and it was as good as their breakfast. This place has a little of everything for everyone.
Gets super busy, but worth the wait. Yummy food, large portions, and great coffee. My favourite way to start the day is with a Roadhouse breakfast!
The hashbrowns are to die for and the dishes are always full of flavour.
Only complaint is the slow service. They're always busy, so you'd expect they would be ready for the rush and not leave diners waiting for as long as they do. Oh well, they make up for it with the friendly service!
Delisious. Enjoyed at lunch at the roadhouse on Sunday. The taco salad was delicious , my server Margo was delightful and very knowledgeable about the menu and the history of the roadhouse. Margo was very attentive and made our lunch a very nice experience. Looking forward to our next visit and our next menu choice.
Great breakfast place!. Love their "build your own omelette". Took my son there for breakfast this morning and had one of the best omelette's ever! Their pan fries (hash browns) are addicting. The waitress was very friendly without being intrusive. We will be back again!
Amazing food for a great price.. Excellent, fast service with delicious food. We had the Turkey burger with cranberry sauce and the Pierogis. The burger was perfectly cooked and had well balanced flavours. The house salad was as fancy as a salad can get with the mandarin pieces and the candied nuts. The pierogis were cooked to perfection with mouth watering crispy edges.
P.S. The waitress Sarah is the best :)
Liver and onions so good I had to hold my husband back from licking the plate. Perogies excellent also.
A must try for ANY occasion. If you have not been to McJac's Roadhouse Grille, you are missing out. This is a great spot for any occasion, the fifties diner side is a fun, casual environment with fifties memorabilia on the walls, and a children's "cave" where the little ones can go in and get a wee prize, They serve, hands down, the best burgers in White Rock...King George Burger is their specialty and my favorite, there are also healthy choices for those of us watching our weight, like the "Zone " salad which is large but low calorie, very delicious and very satisfiying...The other side of the restaurant you will find a little more formal and great place to bring a date or a night out with friends for Prime rib... I don't see a place to rate this restaurant with stars, but I would give it five stars easily....you must check it out. Cindy
Best place around. We have been going to the Roadhouse for a few years now, and the food and service is always spot on. With a large menu with many options, you can come all the time and still eat something different. Portion size is HUGE! I never leave there still hungry, and often with a lunch for the next day. The prices are amazing for how much food you actually get. They make almost everything there fro scratch, which you just don't find anywhere any more. The best holli and salsa, even their beans are better than what my grandmother used to make! (sorry grandma!) The coffee is good and they have a pretty good drink list too, all the classics and their own twists. The retro room has so many cool things on the walls that its fun to walk around and look at them all. We always see the owners there too, which is nice! You don't often go to the place and see the owners helping out and talking to customers, its nice
The service is always excellent. Smiles all around, and very friendly faces. We tell all our friends to go there and they keep going back! I don't understand why there are some bad reviews on here, because there isn't anywhere else in the area to go for food this good! Hats off to you Roadhouse, keep doing what you're doing.
Prime Rib Jumbo Size. The prime rib is delicious - small is huge! Fabulous Yorkshire puddings & yummy veggies. If this isn't enough, dessert is also jumbo size. Great staff, always a treat at McJ's.
Awesome experience. Had th.... Awesome experience.
Had the King George Burger. Massive. Well cooked, juicy meat. Couldn't finish it. & their house salad was pretty good too.
Server - excellent. Knowledgeable and quip.
Big portions and good food. Our server Brenna was hilarious and made our experience exceptional
Need breakfast in White Rock?. The only place to go is The Roadhouse. Eclectic decor for sure but the service is welcoming and fast and the food is just like home. Coffee is excellent too. I'll be back for sure. Recommended.
Great atmosphere, friendly service. Great selection, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. Prices aren't too bad, and you get quite a bit from what you order. It's kid friendly too cause of the magic cave with a chest full of toys. Recommend for any parent with a hyper kid that just won't sit still for more than 5 mins
Our choice for weekly Sunday brunch!. Since we've been introduced to this gem of a restaurant, we look forward to Sundays to feed our McJac's brunch hunger. One of us alway orders the traditional eggs benny. The sauce is homemade (so they say, we believe them), thick butcher cut slice of ham (not deli shave, it's great), home fried potatoes... delicious! The other one usually ventures, trying our their other dishes. Pancakes are gigantic and super fluffy, so good! We have not been disappointed with their food during any of our visits. Servers have been good as well. Nothing to complain about other than them being too busy sometimes; then you have to wait a little while, but that's a sign of good food & service! They also have a bakery/cheese shop right beside them. Haven't bought anything from it yet, but selection looks pretty decent. Tonight will be the first time we try their dinner, menu looks great, cannot wait!
Great Eggs Benny! The pan fries are crunchy and hot, delicious. The coffee, however, is too weak for my taste, and the only hot sauce is Frank's, which is basically for babies.
Speacial place. I really like this place, everything is very tasty, and there isnt a deep fryer in their kitchen! i used to go there a few times per week, sadly i have moved away and i really miss it now.
Good grub, prime rib dinner is awesome...although if they're busy...be prepared to receive your food warm because of the lack of wait staff, although the manager/owner (not sure) will be more than willing to re-heat your food. Friendly bunch!
A must try!. One of my favourite brunch spots, I highly recommend the santa fe eggs benny. There are two sections of the restaurant; one being retro and eclectic and the other suitable for people wanting a more visually upscale atmosphere. The food is always well above par and the prices are reasonable. Great staff, excellent place.
That was the best filet mignon I've ever had in my life! OMG! I've had many great breakfast's here but never tried an evening meal before. Wow!
Local favourite. We have been coming here for 14 years and it rarely disappoints. The breakfasts are comfort food at its best - especially love the BLT and omelettes. I wish they would upgrade their brand of coffee though. The evening menu can be surpisingly elegant and well prepared. The owners are truly nice, community-spirited people. I was surpised to read a bad review about the staff. Unless this is a very recent change - they have little turnover- and the servers have always been delightful - we have watched many of them grow up, working weekends and after school.
Don't miss their bakery-deli next door.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and that it is kid friendly. Though busy we had no wait. Had the warrior breakfast which was not quite filling enough or me but great for the price and very tasty. Coffee was really hot and not too bad. Wife had the waffles and there needed to be more berries and whip cream, but again everything tasted really great. Will go again, would recommend it to my friends
This is one of my favorite restraunts great food great service intresting enviroment. This place isn't "fancy" it is just good clean honest food. They also have an attached bakery and cheese shop where they must bake their fresh bread they serve in the restraunt. The products and services in the bakery/cheese shop are also top notch I wish their were more places around like this.
Great food, reasonable prices! Recent renovations are awesome and provide unique dining environments. During the day, try out the retro 50's genre diner. For the evening try the more upscale dining room.

McJac's Roadhouse Grille says they serve "Deliciously wholesome and fresh. Comfort food served in generous portions with a whole lotta love." There is nothing about my meal that says otherwise. Some great old-school diner decor and great service.
I like this place. My food was good. Wished the salsa had a kick and the food was hotter. I was impressed with all of the non-meaty options without having to modify my order. So I would come back too. I give it a 7.
McJac's Roadhouse Grille was one of three choices I gave my friend for brunch in BC. She chose this one, because of the distance and the time we had. McJac's is kind of in the middle of nowhere along King George Hwy in South Surrey. It was quite busy, as at that location, there is just this Roadhouse, their bakery, and a Mac's convenience store. This restaurant is quite unique with 4 different dining areas with very different decors. We ate in the Retro Room where it was really old school furniture, paint, and posters. We wanted to try out a bunch of the menu. We ordered a breakfast combo that came with our choice of sausage, ham or bacon with hasbrowns, 2 eggs, and toast. We went for the sausage with scrambled eggs, and sourdough toast. I went for the Raisin French Toast. We also ordered the Grilled Cheese and added ham to it as well as some Corn Bread and Banana bread because they were just $2 each. The breakfast was pretty standard. The hashbrowns were thicker cubed potato
First time here. Was in our Radar for a while. Celebrated Wife's Birthday. Super Happy. Beginning to the end, super nice Service and Food. Great place. Recommend for a Casual Dine in. The food pics will tell you about my food review. Tastes as good as it looks.
This place is definitely worth checking out. They have solid classic breakfast options and the portions are big. Specifically the pancakes are giant!
Great ambiance and really cool decor with classic Hollywood memorabilia on the walls.
There’s a treasure cave with a treasure chest for the kiddos, which is an amazing bonus! These little details is what makes the place special. My kiddos are a tad too old to go into the cave now, but they are left with some fun memories.
First time here and it was great. Our sever (I wish I got her name) was fantastic. Sometimes I find service at restaurants, especially during breakfast hours to be rushed but she was kind and calm. I will definitely be back here for more food. My only negative comment was that I ordered a side of hollandaise sauce and it was luke warm at best and their hash browns are very basic.
Ordered their French toast plate with bacon. Bacon was delicious and cooked properly. Eggs were fluffy and French toast was perfect. Sante Fe Benny was also great and the eggs were poached correctly.
Nice breakfast spot. I had the salmon Benedict. Tasty and fresh smoked salmon. Nice waitress and bright/fun interior.
Decided to go and try the Roadhouse Grille for breakfast yesterday. Our activities had us in White Rock and we've got a soft spot for old school diners which was how we selected this place over others.
My rundown: The service was great. The portions were good. The food was good but not great. However, their sourdough was fantastic! The prices were not bad either.
Happy we went but would not go out of my way to go back. Wouldn't mind trying their lunch or dinner fare if I was in the area at the time.
Great place. Seated us immediately by allowing us to use the bar area as dining space (bar was otherwise closed). It was Father's Day so they were busy and we did not have reservations. Liver and onions, Salisbury steak and Cobb salad with Banana bread were all delicious. Good service great food. Thank you.
Very good food! I got eggs Benedict and it was some of the best I've had in the area, my parents both ordered french toast and they loved it!
Only downside was that since it was busy the wait staff was hard to get a hold of but I don't blame them for that, and it was VERY loud. Maybe don't go during peak hours if you want a quieter dining experience as we could barely hear each other talk and I have sensory issues so I needed to wear earplugs.
Lovely place decorations are 1960’s. Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley photos are everywhere. Ambiance is really nice and employees are friendly and happy people.
